...The best Holiday Resort I have ever been in Mauritius is The Domaine Les Pailles. As I briefly mentioned in one of my previous reviews, this is a humongous holiday resort which stretches out for miles and miles, and comprises of activities, fun and cuisine for every ages and tastes. It is situated at Pailles, a small town just a few minutes before Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. Finding the road to Domaines Les Pailles turned out to be quite difficult because there is one specific corner road we had to turn into and we kept missing roads! But once we got into the road which would take us to the resort, it was as if we'd immediately been shut out of the real world. What's in a domain name?

Advantages: Good location for visiting the Périgord, interesting old building
Disadvantages: Needs more restoration, a bit over-priced, the restaurant

...Freenetname offers completely free domain names. As with all things like this there are limitations and there is also a slight catch that can prove mightily annoying. First of all you have to sign up. This is a simple process that you are guided through step by step. During this process you have to give your name and address and other details such as these. The site can be a bit slow at peak times so you do occasionally get timeouts when going through the form. Having signed up you can choose your desired domain. These are limited to .co.uk or .org.uk but for most people these are more than acceptable. Quite literally 'Meat free'

Advantages: Substantial, healthy, low fat and calorie meal

You can set up as many domain names for nothing as you want with this lot and they'll provide you with unlimited web space. Once you've applied online, all you need to do is make one phone call, confirming that you want the domain and you're up and running. True the call is on a premium rate line, but it only takes four minutes and costs around £6 and that's it - you've got all the space you need and there's no limit to the number of other domains you can set up - I'm already on my sixth or seventh domain. Free Domain Name

Advantages: Free domain, 20MB space, freephone technical support, guest book and form mail scripts are already installed.
Disadvantages: You have to use the freenetname dial-up to access web space and email. You can't install cgi scripts.

...I signed up to freenetname after seeing a magazine article which said they gave you a free domain and 20MB web space. I thought surely there must be a catch but there isn't one. Theres no monthly fee, no one off fee, nothing. I signed up for a domain and it was active within 24 hours. I had full ftp access and 0800 phone support. This is an excellent ISP I thought but one day, I tried to connect to freenetname using freeserve and I couldn't connect to my web space. The technical support told me that I could only connect to my web space and check my email using the Freenetname dial-up. This can be a hassle if you use an 0800 or a different ISP and you want to check your email but if you just use freenetname on its own, then its a good service.
