As by the name you probably realise that they are a snack in the shape of french fries (skinny chips as my children call them). Advantages: Tasty, nice flavours and filling despite being low fat
Disadvantages: my daughter likes them too

...While I was out shopping yesterday I stumbled across a multipack of Walkers French fries. There were ten in a pack, five 'fish and chip' flavour which I thought my little girl would like and five 'worcester sauce' flavour which I happen to love but never see anywhere. Priced at a pound for ten packets I couldnt resist the bargain! This was the first time I had seen this multipack and it was in B&M supermarket but I often see six packs with two cheese and onion, two plain and two salt and vinegar in all supermarkets for around £1.30. Considering the fact that I am eating them at the moment I will concerntrate my opinion on the worcester sauce flavour. The packet is your average 30g pack of crisps size. ...I am not normally keen on Walkers crisps, as I find them a bit bland and boring. However, Walkers French Fries are the exception to the rule. I absolutely love 'em! I'm sure most people have tried these at some time or other. But for the benefit of those who haven't, let me tell you a bit about them. ...French Fries by Walkers are a particular favourite crisp of mine. The flavours comprise Worcester Sauce (Brown Pack) Ready Salted (Red Pack) Cheese & Onion (Blue Pack) Salt & Vinegar (Green Pack) My favourite is the Worcester Sauce flavour. Today I was in Home Bargains and there staring at me on the shelves were 40g packets at a bargain price of 15p. I grabbed myself a few bags and am sitting here tonight eating a packet, hence the review. The flavour is really strong and I love 'sucking' the flavour off the sticks. They really do leave a lovely tang in your mouth. The crisps themselves are cooked in SUNSEED oil, which is naturally higher in mono-unsaturates, which it happily states on the pack. ...One would assume that french fries are chips. Then again in America they call crisps chips and chips fries - confusing or what. Well as we all know the majority of crisps (and chips for that matter) are made from potato. These too are made from potato, but unlike your usual crisps these are shaped as long chips! And to make things even better they aint just that shape - oh no they are spirally chip - shaped. Confused? I am and I'm the 1 writing this bloody thing! These crisps are very nice though and I think you should get them if you havent tried these because Walkers, as usual, have made a pretty good crisp. So we have established Walkers make these and we all know what Walkers do with their packaging of cheese flavour dont we? They dont colour it the usual green colour we would expect. ...I often buy multipacks of Walkers French Fries as they are lower in calories and fat than standard Walkers crisps, I also find them more interesting and fun to eat plus it seems as though you get more in a bag as each crisp is so thin. The multipacks contain three flavours; Ready Salted, Salt & Vinegar and Cheese & Onion. You can also buy Worcester Sauce flavour, but these are only available as single bags and not everywhere stocks them. A French Fry is not strictly a crisp, according to Walkers Snacks it is a 'crispy potato stick' with each 19g bag containing less than 100 calories. The flavours are quite strong which really satisfies my craving for something savoury and flavoursome. The Cheese & Onion ones are my favourites out of the multipack because they are deliciously salty and have a lovely onion flavour, going easy...

I have a red foil pack with the word French Fries in yellow letters in the dead centre of the pack followed by the words 'crispy potato sticks'. The Walkers logo is at the top left hand corner. Now Walkers seems to go through logo's like the rest of us go through toilet roll and this current one shows a yellow sun with the words 'WALKERS Snacks' on a scroll going through the sun. ...These are great, they are under 40% LESS fat than standard walkers crisps and only 97 calories...This makes them a perfect and tasty snack! Ingredients:- Potato granules, preservative- sodium metabisulphite, potato starch, vegetable oil, salt, flavour enhancer- monosodium glutamate, colour- annatto. This makes them suitable for vegetarians and coeliacs! I love these crisps, they are definitely my favourite...but being strange, I dislike the two other flavours that come in the multipack (Salt & vinegar, cheese & onion) meaning I have to buy the packets individually....Walkers sell most of their other crisps in individual-flavour multipacks..So why not French Fries? French Fries are crunchy and tasty, but are very salty so one packet is enough at a time! My nephew (15 months) loves them as they are fun to eat, being so crunchy...

...This isn't a "diet" op although one of the best things about Walkers French Fries is that they are extremely low in fat content. But that's only a bonus. I can't fault these little cuties in any way!(Well maybe a tad too many additives!) When I was a "bairn" in the North East Of England oodles of years ago(OK, for the sake of accuracy, I'm 55 so about 50 years ago), my favourite crisp was called "nibbetts" and when I left that part of the country at the age of 18, I lost touch with them. I don't know to this day if they were peculiar to the NE or not, or if they still exist somewhere. Suffice it to say, that after all these years I have found the nibbett of the south (Well, East Anglia is south to a geordie!)As soon as I tried Walkers French Fries, I was instantly transported back to my youth and the "nibbetts" that I used to enjoy...
