...On the rare occasions my nails are all the same length I like to have a French manicure. For special occasions I don't mind paying a professional but the rest of the time I am more then happy to have a go myself. This can have varying degrees of success ranging from looking ok to having white polish and those little guide stickers all over the place. I hate the little white stickers you use as guides for painting the tips of your nails. I can never get them on straight and then when I take them off they tend to smug the varnish. An unprofessional manicure

Advantages: Quick drying, high shine, great consistency
Disadvantages: Quite expensive when compared with other brands

...This Nails Inc Collection is great for creating that perfect french manicure look. The pack contains three polishes including the white nail tip, the neutral varnish for the nail and the top gloss coat. The varnish is excellent quality as you can apply it really easily because of its great consistency and texture. I had this for a Christmas present but i think they retail around £20 which is not bad value for money considering how long they last. The varnishes dry really quickly to a high shine gloss and last around a week before it starts to chip. This collection is by far the best manicure set i have ever owned and is well worth the money. The varnishes come in a box which is great because you can always give it to your girly friends as a gift....

...being a qualified nail technician myself, i love trying out new products. my friend had had this kit bought for her as a christmas present and asked me to do her nails for her. i prepared her nails and gave her a manicure ready to paint. i applied the basecoat which went on smoothly, but then you cant realy go wrong with a bit of basecoat. then went on the pink layer of varnish.. which took quite a while to dry, but did dry with a smooth surface. i used the stickers supplied with the kit to apply the white to the tips, but i didnt find them much good. where i had painted the white on, which was quite runny so took a while to dry, it had seeped under the stickers and had smudged when i took the stickers off. so it all had to come off and be re-done. i never used the stickers the second time round, i painted the white freehand which i...

...I love the look of perfectly french manicured nails but to be honest I am far too lazy to bother with the whole white tips malarky day in day out. Nails Inc's South Molton St is the perfect nail varnish for someone like me - so easy to apply and dries well enough that it almost seems to give that french manicured look without bothering with any other varnish at all! Of course, if you are the perfectly polished type of girl who loves french manicures, South Molton St is the perfect pink for this - a very classic nail varnish colour. Each nail varnish comes in a cute looking glass bottle with a silver lid and usual brush inside. Fairly unremarkable packaging but they do look cute with the Nails Inc feet logo on the side! ...I often buy multipacks of Walkers French Fries as they are lower in calories and fat than standard Walkers crisps, I also find them more interesting and fun to eat plus it seems as though you get more in a bag as each crisp is so thin. The multipacks contain three flavours; Ready Salted, Salt & Vinegar and Cheese & Onion. You can also buy Worcester Sauce flavour, but these are only available as single bags and not everywhere stocks them. A French Fry is not strictly a crisp, according to Walkers Snacks it is a 'crispy potato stick' with each 19g bag containing less than 100 calories. The flavours are quite strong which really satisfies my craving for something savoury and flavoursome. ...I actually bought this product to go on a set of false nails, and it really impressed me because it went on really easily and neatly, dried really fast and did not peel off the false nails. It also lasted a long time without chipping or scratching which was impressive as I was at work and out in the garden a lot. The first chip appeared after a week of working which is really good. The colour was good for a french manicure, it looked very professional. And it works just as well on real nails, as my sister used it and it lasted a long time for her as well. We were both very impressed with how good it was, especially since it was pretty low price and we usually pay for more expensive brands. If you want to save a few pounds i would definitely use Rimmel's nail varnish products, as they are very good, and come in a fantastic range...

...Hi all, This is just an update on the new Fench Manicure colours that Avon have produced over the last couple of months. I am now ,and always have been a fan of all Avon nailwear. I find them good value, application is good and generally a longer wear nail varnish. However over the last couple of years, the trend for nailwear has gone over to the French Manicure brigade. The likes of Posh, the Footballers wives set etc are all big fans. The french Manicure is essentially low maintenance, visually agreeable nailwear. It can also be done at home fairly cheaply and as people often find out with these things 'practise makes perfect'. Avon have sold, for a few years now the traditional french manicure set of 2 x 12ml bottles of nail enamel, one white for the tips and one a beige colour that is brushed over the whole nail once...
