...*Please note ? this is a review of the restaurant part of the hotel* A few weeks ago Mr Tart and myself headed to his parents? for a family gathering. We were all going out for a posh meal on the Sunday and the French Horn was chosen as the location for the event. LOCATION: The French Horn is in Sonning-on-Thames. Sonning is not a big place and the restaurant is on the main road so you can?t miss it (sorry I can?t be more specific ? it doesn?t even give a road name on the website!). It?s not the easiest place to get to as the approaches are all through small, busy roads. There is plenty of parking in the French Horn?s car park opposite the restaurant. Advantages: LOW CALORIE
Disadvantages: NONE

...I often buy multipacks of Walkers French Fries as they are lower in calories and fat than standard Walkers crisps, I also find them more interesting and fun to eat plus it seems as though you get more in a bag as each crisp is so thin. The multipacks contain three flavours; Ready Salted, Salt & Vinegar and Cheese & Onion. You can also buy Worcester Sauce flavour, but these are only available as single bags and not everywhere stocks them. A French Fry is not strictly a crisp, according to Walkers Snacks it is a 'crispy potato stick' with each 19g bag containing less than 100 calories. The flavours are quite strong which really satisfies my craving for something savoury and flavoursome. The Cheese & Onion ones are my favourites out of the multipack because they are deliciously salty and have a lovely onion flavour, going easy...

french fingers!

Advantages: no sticky guides, good quality polish, drys quickly
Disadvantages: not sure about the 'miracle brush'

...On the rare occasions my nails are all the same length I like to have a French manicure. For special occasions I don't mind paying a professional but the rest of the time I am more then happy to have a go myself. This can have varying degrees of success ranging from looking ok to having white polish and those little guide stickers all over the place. I hate the little white stickers you use as guides for painting the tips of your nails. I can never get them on straight and then when I take them off they tend to smug the varnish. Review of Bourjois French Manicure Kit

Not the best of Nicci French

Advantages: Well-written, fast-paced, lots of twists and turns
Disadvantages: Too many sub-plots, ending was a disappointment

...I've read a few novels written by Nicci French in the past and thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them so I snapped up a copy of 'The Safe House' when I saw it in a charity shop. Her novels are generally quite intense thrillers - the literary version of films that make you jump at the slightest movement because the tension has been built up so much!Despite reading other work by this author, I only recently discovered that 'Nicci French' is actually a pseudonom for a husband and wife team, Nicci Gerrard and Sean French. Had I known this beforehand I might have been put off from reading their work, as I'm not a fan of collaborations. My experiance in the French department so far has been a good one. Its fair to say I've found the year fairly hard - after A-levels the amount of independant learning necessary is a bit of a shock. As a joint honours student you still take the same language module as the straight french people, so you're expected to be just as good at french even though you're doing 3 less modules to practice it in. French Kisses In The Tub!

...I tried French Kiss bubble bar a long time ago and I loved it! It is not one of my absolute favourite bubble bars, but it comes close! What To Look Out For Head over to the bubble bars at Lush and look through all of the beautiful solid blocks. They are all very attractive, but their is something especially classy about French Kiss, with its lilac and white swirls and the sprig of lavender. It does look rather classy and typically fresh, and sits nicely in my bedroom whilst waiting to be used. I just make sure that it doesn't get wet, and the scent lasts for ages and spreads around my whole house, making it a beautiful, non-synthetic air freshener too! Fancy a 'French Fancie'...?

Advantages: Moreish, no artificial flavours or colours
Disadvantages: Quite sweet

...I have always been very loyal to the Mr Kipling brand, mainly because I grew up with it. My mum regularly bought Mr Kipling cakes when I was a child and French Fancies were a firm favourite with me and my sister. You can understand why they appeal to children so much, with their bright colours and delicious fondant icing, and let's be honest, most kids have a sweet tooth! Nowadays, the sweet tooth I had as a child has become - how can I put it - a little less sweet, if you like, and although I still buy Mr Kipling cakes, French Fancies are not at the top of my list anymore. However, I still buy them now and again, and so when I saw a box on offer in Tesco the other day, I could not resist buying some.
