...Before I got my iPod and sounddock, I was one of those who refuses to subscribe to the technological revolution. Prefering hi-fi and compact disc to the digital music phenomenon. However, within a week (once I'd worked out how to use it), I was hooked on my iPod and once I got the sound-dock, there was no turning back. I think it's fairly safe to say that the era of compact disc players and tape decks is over... The only reason I still have a normal cd player in my house is to listen to the radio, and those few albums that I just haven't got around to putting on my iPod yet. The Bose sound-dock is a piece of mastery in the area of audio technology. Beautiful, sleek and streamlined; it's large frontal speaker provides both volume and sound quality. The music I play on the sound-dock sounds almost incomparably better than CDs...

We were all going out for a posh meal on the Sunday and the French Horn was chosen as the location for the event. LOCATION: The French Horn is in Sonning-on-Thames. Sonning is not a big place and the restaurant is on the main road so you can?t miss it (sorry I can?t be more specific ? it doesn?t even give a road name on the website!). It?s not the easiest place to get to as the approaches are all through small, busy roads. There is plenty of parking in the French Horn?s car park opposite the restaurant. Advantages: LOW CALORIE
Disadvantages: NONE

...I often buy multipacks of Walkers French Fries as they are lower in calories and fat than standard Walkers crisps, I also find them more interesting and fun to eat plus it seems as though you get more in a bag as each crisp is so thin. The multipacks contain three flavours; Ready Salted, Salt & Vinegar and Cheese & Onion. You can also buy Worcester Sauce flavour, but these are only available as single bags and not everywhere stocks them. A French Fry is not strictly a crisp, according to Walkers Snacks it is a 'crispy potato stick' with each 19g bag containing less than 100 calories. The flavours are quite strong which really satisfies my craving for something savoury and flavoursome. The Cheese & Onion ones are my favourites out of the multipack because they are deliciously salty and have a lovely onion flavour, going easy...

Review of Walkers French Fries

Revolution on the Locks!

Advantages: Variety of vodka shots, free water, nice sofas, good atmosphere
Disadvantages: Not to everyones taste

...There are two Revolution bars in Manchester, one being in the studenty Fallowfield area and one in the rather more up market area Deansgate Locks. I have never been to the Fallowfield one so this review is based entirely on my experience at the Locks. Deansgate Locks is a strip of bars situated by a canal with access to the clubs via bridges. It all looks very nice as you approach. Towards the far end is Revolution. The bouncers are ok usually but I have once been told it is over 21s when I presented my ID which was news to me but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. As you enter there is a fairly large room with a lot of big black leather sofas. If you can manage to grab yourself one (you will be lucky as it is very busy!) you will find a table and probably a shot menu. There are all sorts of flavours of Vodka shots...

The Matrix Revolutions review

Advantages: Jaw dropping visuals
Disadvantages: Can be rather boring

...The Matrix Revolutions is the final part in The Matrix saga. In it, Zion is preparing for the oncoming onslaught of the machines in which they stand no chance of survival. Meanwhile, Neo is held captive by the Merovingian at a train station so Trinity & Morpheus set out on a journey to rescue him so he can save everyone. This one suffers from the same thing Reloaded did. It's too pretentious and some of the philosophical aspects feel forced. The actions scenes aren't as good either, so there's less to keep you entertained as some scenes can drag on a bit. I was probably more psyched for this one than Reloaded because of one thing: The war with the machines. french fingers!

Advantages: no sticky guides, good quality polish, drys quickly
Disadvantages: not sure about the 'miracle brush'

...On the rare occasions my nails are all the same length I like to have a French manicure. For special occasions I don't mind paying a professional but the rest of the time I am more then happy to have a go myself. This can have varying degrees of success ranging from looking ok to having white polish and those little guide stickers all over the place. I hate the little white stickers you use as guides for painting the tips of your nails. I can never get them on straight and then when I take them off they tend to smug the varnish. So when I saw this manicure kit from Bourgois I thought it could be the answer. The kit comes in a pretty pink and white box. Review of Bourjois French Manicure Kit

Not the best of Nicci French

Advantages: Well-written, fast-paced, lots of twists and turns
Disadvantages: Too many sub-plots, ending was a disappointment

...I've read a few novels written by Nicci French in the past and thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them so I snapped up a copy of 'The Safe House' when I saw it in a charity shop. Her novels are generally quite intense thrillers - the literary version of films that make you jump at the slightest movement because the tension has been built up so much!Despite reading other work by this author, I only recently discovered that 'Nicci French' is actually a pseudonom for a husband and wife team, Nicci Gerrard and Sean French. Had I known this beforehand I might have been put off from reading their work, as I'm not a fan of collaborations. Advantages: it's still Dawn French, attractive cover, good opening

...I was given a late birthday present last month, and I was not so much shocked by how late it was, but more so what the gift itself was. One of my closest friends has bought me 'Dear Fatty', the autobiography of Dawn French. I cannot lie, I was delighted by this as it was something my eye had been on for months.
