...Eggs are amazing - who would have thought that something that comes out of a chickens bum would be so tasty and so versatile in the kitchen ? In fact, I often wonder who the first person was to actually EAT an egg, and why they did it. In Britain, we eat nearly 10 billion eggs a year; that's 26 million every day, so they're clearly a favourite food here! Chicken eggs are the most commonly eaten eggs in the uk , although there are many more edible eggs - duck, goose, quail and ostrich to name a few. Generally speaking though, most of us stick to the chicken eggs found in the supermarket - and generally fall into three categories - Battery or Caged eggs, Barn Eggs, or Free Range eggs . This happens when there's damage to the blood vessels round the yolk when its forming. It's also a good indicator that the egg is fresh as, with age an egg will dilute the blood spot with water...

... I INTRODUCE THE HUMBLE EGG I think that eggs are taken for granted too much. Let's face it they are the ultimate fast food!! All contained in it's perfect natural and biodegradable package are protein, vitamins and minerals - fairly low in saturated fat - they can make a meal in seconds and can be used in so many different ways. ...INTRO I first decided to get an Egg Credit Card to take advantage of a 0% Interest Balance Transfer (BT) about 2-3 years ago. This was so that I could buy a £1,000 laptop (Samsung Q35). The interest free period was only 6 months but that's all I needed to pay off the balance. I think the BT fee was about 2.5% back then. It's a bit higher now, circa 3% in line with other credit card providers. They also have a 0% on purchases offer on the same card, at the same time alongside the balance transfer offer but this is usually shorter than the balance transfer so if you use both and you don't clear the balance before the end of the 0% interest on purchases period, you end up paying interest on the purchases spending unless you clear the entire balance as this is a sneaky tactic that most BT cards use. An egg-cellent toy!

Advantages: Educational, fun, unisex, batteries not required, affordable, good value for money

...I brought the Tomy Hide 'n' Squeak Eggs as a present for my daughters first christmas. I came across them whilst looking around for a few little, affordable bits to go with her main presents - stocking fillers if you will! I brought the eggs from Amazon.co.uk for around £6.00. I'm not actually sure what offline shops sell them as I haven't seen them in shops but if you type 'Tomy Hide 'n' Squeak Eggs' into a search engine, there is a long list of online retailers which sell them. Prices range from around £6.00 - £9.00 which I think you'll agree isn't bad at all. The Tomy Hide 'n' Squeak Eggs are suitable for children 12 months onwards, although I can't imagine there are many hazards that come with this toy and think it would amuse children from 6 months onwards (don't listen to me though, I wouldn't want to be responsible...

...Cadbury's chocolate is just the best! The mini eggs are just soooo moreish it's baaad!! I buy these in the 100g bags - the bag is yellow with mini eggs written across the middle in purple, the cadbury logo is in the top left and they have pictures of the eggs on the packet. The bag of eggs cost 99p. The eggs are solid chocolate covered in a crispy shell, as soon as you open the bag you can smell the cocoa - you just want to dive right in the bag and start scoffing! The shells are different colours and I always want to suck the shell off so I can savour the chocolate, it never happens though I just have to bite it to get to the chocolate. If you were to eat just one egg then you would only get 15 calories which is nothing but can you just eat one? I can't! Also in the one egg you would get - 0.1g of protein 2g...
