Advantages: nice enough sandwiches, healthy, part of meal deal, fresh, variety
Disadvantages: not overly great, expensive, unappealing packaing, availibility

...Normally when I go into boots, I?m in there for one of their meal deals where you can get a sandwich, a drink, and a side such as a chocolate bar, crisps, fruit or a cereal bar for a smashing £2.99. Usually I?ll opt for one of Boot?s own wraps or sandwiches however on a couple of occasions I have been tempted by something else sitting on the shelf, and these come in the form of Fresh Organic Sandwiches. ?Fresh Organics? (FO) produce a wide range of products including sandwiches, wraps, toasties, salads and rolls. In Boots, there are always sandwiches and wraps, usually salads and occasionally yoghurts and rolls however I have only ever seen the latter in one boots and that was a large one in London. ...What! Only 10 foods? Of all the MILLIONS/ BILLIONS of food products out there we can only pick 10? Well, I suppose you'd get bored by my 100th or so one..or tenth... In no particular order; let's begin 1. Fish -Smoked Haddock, Salmon, Cod, sea bass or tuna. Haddock is delcious in a pitta bread with scrambled egg or haselback potatoes. Salmon fillet is divine if you top it with mayo, crushed seasoned cornflakes with garlic and then drizzled with a cheese sauce. Smoked salmon slices mixed into mash with cheese spread! emm. And tuna, mix it with onion and some chutney to get fish fruity. Make your own fish pie or chop it up into an omelete. Fish is sooo nutritional, versatile and delcious. Not a fan of sardines, herring; trout and the lark, or with heads and eyes still on! Prawns - league of there own. Nice just out the pack...

Fresh Faced.

Advantages: Reasonably priced, vegan, good for problem skin, lasts well.
Disadvantages: The smell but only slightly, can be drying, storage.

Review of Vaseline Active Fresh Spray

Fresh mash for feeding the family.

Advantages: Nice taste, cooks well, simple, frequently on offer.
Disadvantages: Not quite as nice as my own fresh mash.

...creamy and with a little butter added it tasted fantastic. It was lovely and smooth and I did not encounter any lumps at all (and I did not hear of anyone else finding any and the kids will generally complain about anything!). Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the mash, myself included and it was lovely not to have to peel, chop & cook potatoes and then mash them myself. It was not quite as nice as fresh homemade mash but then it's a convenience food and it certainly is convenient. 100g of mash has 87 calories & 3.5g of fat so it's not too bad. This 850g pot is available from Tesco for £1.94 and when we purchased it it was on offer for £1.00 now this is available 2 for £3.00 until 19/05/2009. If you are looking for something that is quick and easy then I would definitely recommend this as the 850g pot managed to feed two adults and three children...

...I love my gadgets and I am a complete sucker for the TV shopping channels so when I saw that JML had got their own channel I couldn't resist watching it one wet afternoon recently. They were doing a demonstration of the JML Vacuum Food Sealer and I was intrigued as I sat and watched. Basically it is a very simple machine which will either vacuum seal food into polythene bags or just seal (without vacuum). It looked pretty simple and effective and they were demonstrating a range of uses for it. Given that I cook a lot of meals for one and often 'batch cook' and weekends and make my own home made ready meals for one which I freeze down this looked like quite a useful machine.
