Our first combined fridge freezer

Advantages: Good capacity for small family, no frost or condensation on interior walls.
Disadvantages: Freezer compartments quite tight for large items like pizza's etc

...This is a great fridge freezer for a small family. Our family is two adults and a child, and it copes very well with the weekly shop, although can be pretty packed. Starting at the top, from the outside, there are six buttons at the very top of the machine, three to either side of the digital display. The first on the left is the power button, which as you would imagine is used for switching the whole thing on and off. This is however an 'electronic' on/off switch therefore there will still be power going to the device if you don't switch off at the socket. One thing we noticed with these buttons is that they can quite easily be pushed 'in' and end up further back behind the facia than they should be. A gentle touch is all that is required! Samsung RSH1DBMH Fridge Freezer

Advantages: Loads of space in fridge, great ice and water dispenser, not too big
Disadvantages: Not a huge capacity in freezer

...I have always wanted one of these american style fridge freezers but never had the room until we moved into our new house. Actually it does not take up as much room as I thought it would and it is a great centre piece to the kitchen. This fridge freezer is on wheels so although you'd think it was difficult to move it really isn't, I can move it easily! The ice and water facilities are fantastic. You have to have it plumbed into the mains pipe which my husband, who is certainly not a plumber, managed with ease! We did have to buy a little tap to fit it to the pipe but that was only a few pounds compared to what you would have to pay a plumber! You simply put the tap to the pipe and screw, it pierces the pipe then you can attach the hose supplied with the fridge freezer! This means you never have to fill up the water or make ice...

Great American style fridge freezer

Advantages: No sacrifice of space to water filter/ice maker, loads of fridge space
Disadvantages: Wine rack an optional extra, could benefit from another door shelf.

...Great fridge-freezer! We ordered it from Laskys (see my separate review) as they were offering it for the cheapest price at the time. Fridge side (on the right) is bigger than the freezer. We went for this model so we wouldn't need to plumb it into the cold water supply, and we wouldn't sacrifice lots of freezer space to an ice maker. It also has a handy spring-loaded ice tray too, which you fill up with water yourself & flip over the cubes into the tray when ready. Freezer and fridge have separate coolers so this should be more energy efficient and give you fault tolerance should one fail (you can still use the other half ok while the engineer is being arranged!) Door shelves of fridge are plenty big enough for 2L bottles, but I would have preferred a 3rd one, rather than spacing them out as they have. the 2 salad crisper...

Hotpoint Fridge/Freezer FFS90

...Once we finally got this new model, which we had to wait over two months for, we found it really nice as it was nice and big, bigger than all the other fridge/freezer that we had seen. We thought that this machine was going to last us quite a few years. All you have to do is plug it in and just get on with your life. We have now had this fridge/freezer for 16 months. We had the engineer back within the first year 5 times as the thing stopped working, then the fridge started to thaw out and then started freezing, yes the fridge. We put a thermometer in there to check the fridge, and it went up to 10degrees C and down to -3 degrees C. We have now had the engineer out so many times now and we have lost count. We want either a new fridge or our money back. Hotpoint have said that if we pay another £198 we could have another one to...

Indesit Baan 12s fridge freezer

Advantages: Very good price, attractive frost free fridge freezer

...I bought the Indesit frost free freezer after moving house, the price was very reasonable at £229.00. The capacity of the fridge freezer is good it's fine for a family of three and my sister also has one and does okay with a family of five. The applicance is very quiet and aesthetically pleasing. There are 3 glass shelves plus 2 salad boxes which are pretty deep. There are also 3 freezer boxes with a fast freeze plus ice cube trays built into them which I must admit I hardly used. The fridge freezer was frost free and I've only had to defrost it myself once in three years which is good going, the fridge always worked very well and kept food nice and fresh, it was also very easy to keep clean. The downside was rust appeared on the inner seals pretty quickly probably within the first year. The door also dents very easily...

...I got this fridge freezer about 2 years ago and it is still like it is brand new. No parts have broken. The fridge has so much room I have a lot in it and could fit more which means I am buying a lot more fresh food than frozen, which is generally healthier. The ice machine and water dispenser are very useful and have nicer water than taps, but that means that you do not have that much freezer space so I have recently bought another fridge to compensate for the lack of freezer room in this one. It is also quite nice looking and would probably suit any kitchen quite well. I would recommend it because with all the features £600 is a good price, with an ice machine and easy controls on the front to control the temperature of the fridge and freezer....

...If you've read my review for the washing machine, you'll know that I have recently moved house and what I didn't tell you was that all the electrical appliances needed for the kitchen were already fully installed for us. Now, this was the most convenient thing that has happened for me in a long time and when searching through the Ciao site after writing my previous review, I was shocked to find the exact fridge freezer that is in my kitchen as well as the washing machine! So far we have found that this fridge freezer is perfect for our needs. It has a very large fridge compartment which, for some reason, we can never seem to fill.(!) The freezer part is more than adequate aswell, with more than enough space for all our frozen groceries. It has a nice smooth white finish on the doors which is so easy to clean, as is the inside glass...

...When I moved in with my boyfriend we were very lucky, there was a cooker, a dishwasher and a washing machine in the house.
