Frigidaire leaves the rest in the cold
Review of Frigidaire FRC 185 FF by
craggybuk
Advantages: Acres of space in the fridge, A rating Engery
Disadvantages: can be noisy at times, not the biggest of freezers
...-- Background --
We have always had seperate fridges and freezers for the past 10 years. The last fridge we bought was a bit of a panic buy as we were in the middle of a heatwave and the fridge we had at the time blew up. From then on we have always complained that the fridge was actually too small. With this in mind, I was a little sceptical of paying over £300 and being disappointed.
We decided to go for the Frigidaire after many google searches as we were impressed with the price and the capacity of the unit.
-- Whats in the box --
There are no surprises in the box, you get the fidge-freezer which comes very well packed. I'm guessing it took us around 10 minutes to get all the packaging off. Inside the freezer compartment in one of the drawers you will find the instruction manual and the door handles which need...

Chilled out
Review of Frigidaire FV245 by
marcellep
Advantages: Value, Size, Extras, Ease of use, Warning lights
Disadvantages: None yet!
...We bought this appliance in August 2004 from our local curry's store. We paid a total of £349.50 for this package which included the matching fridge.
Why this model?
We choose this model of freezer mainly because we have had Frigidaire in the past and never had any problems with them in addition to that the appliance was on a special offer. It looked great in the show room and as always it looked huge in size.
Getting it home
When I got this appliance delivered it hand the following within the box.
1 x Instruction Guide
1 x Guarantee Card
2 x Ice trays
1 x Drain Plug
1 x Ice Scraper
I found that the freezer was very easy to install, I just levelled it of by adjusting the feet underneath with screw up...

An experiment gone awry
Review of Bambao by
pablodiabloescobar
Advantages: Cheap, a li'l tasty and gonna make you dance like tina turner
Disadvantages: Regrets in the morning and i'm not sure it isn't in fact, wee. makes you dance like tina turner
...in a 275 ml bottle. The bottle is nice and chunky and is emblazoned with a nice big foot motif and the name of the beverage on the front. i got our bottles from the local Bells stores where we had to wrestle them from some smaller humans that i think may have been imps or short devils. They were only 49p each and me and the Captain and Steve walked out of the shop having only spent about six pound each on the bottles and a few more quid on crisps and frozen egg fried rice.
Looking at the botttles is slighlty off putting at first, it looked a bit like wee, we all agreed and it had bits in it, like bitty wee, (you know you've had bitty wee) But we already knew it was a strange brew, that was why we decided on the experiment in the first place. Once home we stocked the frigidaire and took a bottle each. Once the foot emblazoned cap...

Kenwood Kettle Klub
Review of Kenwood JKP105 by
maklhouf
Advantages: fast
Disadvantages: plastic
...in all their electrical appliances. There is also the registration leaflet with a survey of you and your habits to be filled in, but has anybody actually ever won the prize you are supposed get for sending it in?
I was further disconcerted to find that Frigidaire has a very similar product at half the price.
I bought my kettle from Robert Dyas, and it is the first proper modern kettle I have owned. It has really transformed some experiences for me. I now realise that I have had never had a cup of tea made with water that was really boiling, for instance, and that makes a difference, it really does. I have bought lots of stuff like instant custard that needs to be made with really boiling water, and I'm having a ball with my new kettle. Haha!...
