Muller Little Star Fromage Frais - Kids love them!
Review of Muller Little Stars Smooth Yoghurt by
Vickijake
Advantages: Convenient, Reasonable price, Nice flavours
Disadvantages: Very sweet tasting
...I am always very careful about what I give my son to eat, and have been very wary of jars and packets of baby food while he has been being weaned. Up until recently I was pureeing fruit and adding it to natural yoghurt and that has been his "pudding" or snack during the day.
While browsing round Sainsburys a few weeks back I noticed these Muller Little Stars products, they do smooth yoghurt, fromage frais and fruit juice jellies. I decided to give the fromage frais a try as they are a bit different to what my son has had before and I am very keen on him trying new things.
The price was very good as there was a special offer - buy 2 packs of 6 pots (60g each) for £2, but they are usually about £1.50 for 6.
The fromage frais that I brought had 3 different flavours (2 pots of each) Strawberry, Raspberry and Peach.
They are advertised...

Another 'new' flash responded to
Review of Heinz Weight Watchers Toffee Fromage Frais by
theediscerning
Advantages: Dessert sauce for extra interest
Disadvantages: It's not yoghurt
...Theediscerning has never really seen the point of fromage frais.
Let's face it - yoghurt is a lot sexier, smoother, creamier, seems to come in a whole lot more varieties, is cheaper (which is important), and (also importantly), comes in larger pots.
Well those of you who feel they can ignore the definitely superior form of milk off-products and bacteria (or whatever - theediscerning never paid any attention in food science at school) would probably be heartened to know that there is a new brand of fromage frais-type dessert to sample.
What's more, it's for us adults, and it comes from the Weight Watcher's arm of the Heinz empire - although made by Yoplait - so it might not be all that bad for us.
As such you would probably recognise the packaging were you to see it - the WW logo top left corner, and a band of purple, toffee and cream...

Have a big one - you know you want to
Review of Yoplait Petit Filous by
SusanLesley
Advantages: Tastes great, low in calories
Disadvantages: A bit on the expensive side
...Yoplait Petits Filous miniature pots of fromage frais just got bigger!
I have just been shopping to Asda and found, as well as the usual packs of 12 x 60g pots, they also had packs of 6 x 100g pots too.
The packs of the small pots cost about £2 and contain 2 each of the following flavours: Apricot, Raspberry, Strawberry, Strawberry and Vanilla, Peach and Strawberry and Blackberry and Raspberry.
But I bought the pack of six larger pots costing £1.48 and just containing 3 each of the Strawberry and Raspberry flavours.
I bought the fromage frais as an alternative to cream for the fresh strawberries that I had also bought. I have been told this morning that I am a diabetic and have got to watch the sugar in my diet and also loose some weight.
Instead of cutting out the things I like and making myself miserable into the bargain, I have...

Healthy & Yummy Petit Snacks!
Review of Yoplait Petit Filous by
HannahBoo
Advantages: Delicious, no bits, suitable for all the family, good source of calcium, smooth texture, real fruit puree.
Disadvantages: The small pots are a little too small (but perfect for children).
...***INTRO***
Petit Filous means 'Little Rascals'. They come in tiny pots which makes these fromage frais perfect for the little ones (from 4-6 months old). However, all the family will enjoy these little pots which contain smooth fromage frais made with real fruit puree.
***THE RANGE***
You can purchase the following:
- 6 x 60g pack
- 12 x 60g pack.
- 4 x 100g pack.
Please see website for further details of flavours etc... (www.petitfilous.co.uk)
***DOES PETIT FILOUS ONLY PRODUCE FROMAGE FRAIS?***
No, also in the Petit Filous range are Yoghurt Drinks, Fruity Smooth Yoghurt, Petits Filous Fruit Layer, and Petit Filous Little Desserts.
***SO HOW DO PETIT FILOUS FROMAGE FRAIS TASTE?***
They taste fruity, but I think this is a soft taste (not too strong and not at all sharp). The strawberry and raspberry flavours are definately...

Review of Tesco Healthy Eating Chicken Fajitas by
LLPSYCHO
Advantages: Quick and easy to make

Fromage never tasted so good...
Review of Yoplait Petit Filous by
DylanD
Advantages: Nice thick and creamy fromage
Disadvantages: A little pricey to buy.
...Filous? In English Petit Filous means "little rascal" . They are pots of Fromage Frais (which is a dairy product originating from France. The name means "Fresh Cheese".). The Fromage has been made with real fruit puree and mixed well into the Fromage so no bits are visible. The fromage frais itself is lovely and thick with a real nice creamy flavour to each one, one which I think most kids are going to love so Petit Filous makes a great weaning food for kids from 4-6months as a first taster particularly as there are no little bits of fruit swimming in the fromage to put them off.
The fromage has been made with no artificial sweeteners and no added preservatives and colourings and are completely gluten free. In the pack I buy there are two Raspberry and two Strawberry pots. But if you buy the other products in the Petit Filous range you can...

Good things come in small pots
Review of Yoplait Petit Filous by
Pumpkin
Advantages: Small pots, low in fat and calories, creamy and delicious, no bits
Disadvantages: Too many strawberry based flavours, and may be too small for some people!
...Yoplait Petits Filous are yet another product which we have been able to try thanks to Tesco Direct. Unlike the baked beans, these were not a substitute – they simply turned up mysteriously with our shopping one day. They were not on the order, or the receipt, so we can only assume they were part of a special offer, or simply included by an oversight! Whatever the reason behind their appearance, they were a very welcome addition to our shopping!
Petits Filous are miniature pots of fromage frais, made with real fruit puree. They normally come in packs of 12 pots, but in this case the pack had 50% extra free so there were 18 pots. The cost is £1.98, so with the current special offer they cost just over 10p per 60g pot. The normal 12 pack contains 2 each of 6 flavours:-
• Peach and Strawberry
• Apricot
• Raspberry
• Strawberry...

One for You... Three for Mummy.
Review of Muller Fromage Frais by
kimp123
Advantages: Suitable from Six Months of Age. Creamy and Tasty.
Disadvantages: Make the Pots Bigger.
...In 1896 Ludwiq Muller opened his first small dairy in a Belvarian village. He probably wouldn't believe the success of Muller today. Now his grandson Theo runs this thriving business, which last year had a turnover of £625 million. The first UK Muller opened in 1986, near Windsor Castle. It did so well that two years later Muller were Nationwide. Muller produce several dairy products, rice, yoghurt, jelly, and since 1998 Fromage Frais.
Trying to vary my baby's diet, I decided to buy a pack of Muller Fromage Frais. Convenient and healthy, it has to be good news. Forgive me if it sounds like I am taking the words out of my baby's mouth, but I did end up eating the lion's share.
I purchased a six pack, with each individual pot containing 50g of Fromage Frais. Strawberry, Raspberry and Peach, two of each flavour, mmm raspberry is my...

Danone Baby Fromage Frais
Review of Danone Baby Food by
Chardon
Advantages: small portions, suitable from 4 months
Disadvantages: slightly too sweet, limited flavours, a tad expensive
...For my toddler, I usually buy Petits Filous fromage frais, but I wanted to try something different for my 6 months old, who has started on solids a few weeks ago. I came accross the Danone Baby fromage frais, suitable from 4 months. I was initially looking for fromage frais made from formula milk but didn't find any at my local Sainsbury/Tesco. Somehow I seem to remember that this brand of fromage frais, Danone Baby, used to be made with formula milk a couple of years ago. Funnily enough, Sainsbury's website still mentions this product is made with formula milk, but it's not mentioned at all anywhere on the packaging. Danone seems to have changed the recipe. Anyway I decided to press ahead with my purchase.
~.~.~ DESCRIPTION ~.~.~
This fromage frais is suitable from 4 months. It comes in packs of 6 or 12 pots. I went for a pack of 12...

Berry delightful!
Review of Weight Watchers Berry Fruits Fromage Frais by
Amy69
Advantages: tasteful, low calorie, good size
Disadvantages: Aspartame
...Being both a huge fan of yoghurt, and having shared my time with scrumptious pots of Weight Watchers yoghurts, I decided it was time to sample the Weight Watchers Fromage Frais. These come in two pack options: Summer Fruits and Berry Fruits. At the time of purchase, they were on a '2 for £2' deal at Asda, which was fantastic as they were usually £1.97 a pack! This was an offer I simply could not refuse to take advantage of, and added both to my shopping trolley!
The Berry Fruits option has six pots of yoghurt, in four exciting flavours2 x blackberry, 2 x forest fruits, 1 x raspberry and 1 x cherry. Each one looked delicious, and I couldn't wait to try them!
Each yoghurt has a vanilla layer on the top; a very smooth and thick, creamy fromage frais with a distinctive plain taste, more of a natural yoghurt than a vanilla! It doesn't taste...
