Advantages: No frost, no defrosting, stops your bread snapping.

...Ok frost free appliances are more expensive to start off with and they cost a little more to run but they do have some definite advantages. Not watching your storage space disappear inch by inch is one of them. So is not having to eat everything in the freezer in order to defrost it. Being able to close the top compartment flap without the ice getting in the way is another. But how about frozen bread. You only want three or four slices but when you try and pull them off the rest of the loaf they snap in half. Not with our frost free they don't. And frozen veg. By the time you get two thirds of the way through the pack the bag is half full of stale frozen water. Not with the frost free. Review of Hotpoint Frost Free Freezer

Frost Free??

Advantages: it has a large capacity fridge and freezer, easy to use
Disadvantages: very heavy, iced up even though its frost free

...( we use 6 pint cartons ). The freezer is very large and you dont need to maintain it much, but you do need to switch it off approximately once a year to get rid of any ice buildup , yes - it does say frost free at the top , but in the time we have had it , it has needed to be switched off for 24 hours on two occasions. There is a handy tray for ice cubes etc. or you can take this out to get more room in the top drawer of the freezer (very handy for the christmas turkey). The drawers are smooth to open and close plus easily removed for cleaning. This model does not have the ability to control the temperature and there is no way of knowing what the exact temperature is , unless you have a very good thermometer. All in all, this is a good piece of kit to have in your kitchen. It is not so big that it wouldn't fit in...

Frost versus Nixon

Advantages: Interesting film, great drama, great acting from main characters
Disadvantages: May not appeal to everyone if you prefer more action in your films

They happened in 1977 when I was just a baby so although I had heard about Watergate I couldn't really have told you anything about it and I certainly didn't know that David Frost had interviewed Nixon about it. My husband however had heard about the film and was keen to watch it so I sat down not sure what to expect. Michael Sheen plays David Frost a successful talk show host who sees his chance to make it big in America by getting the biggest scoop and interviewing Nixon. Nixon agrees to the interview providing Frost can come up with the large fee. Frost has to try to convince the TV networks to pay for the interviews or he will have to find the money elsewhere...

NOT a Frost Free Freezer

Disadvantages: Space, Drawers, Reliability

...One of the selling points of this freezer is that it is frost free, and this was a very desirable feature because the one we had previously, needed defrosting constantly, 2 or 3 times a year. Which takes a lot of effort and a long time. So it was a welcomed feature in our house. After having the freezer for around 3 months, having no problems with it previously, it started to freeze up. There was ice running down the front of all the drawers, and every time one was opened, you had to snap through the ice on the front. Now that doesn't really seem frost free to me? This was a regular occurance, happening every day. Fortunately with most appliances/products like that there is usually a warranty or guarantee that protects you against things like that happening - faulty products and breakages. Our freezer was obviously a faulty product...

...I went into this film not knowing much of the background to the Watergate scandal or indeed any of what had happened as it happened around the time I was born. I have always been intrigued by history though and went along to see what all the fuss was about. The story centres around an epic battle between David Frost, the up and coming television star and Richard M Nixon, the disgraced 37th president. I must first of all confess that one big draw of this film was the inclusion of Michael Sheen, who has been excellent as Tony Blair in The Queen and Kenneth Williams in Fantabulosa. The man is an absolute genius and can switch from famous person to famous person in the blink of an eye. Time for Merry's lick of Frost

Advantages: Enjoyable story line.
Disadvantages: Some chapters can drag on

...of the books. I especially like the interaction between Doyle Merry and Frost my favorite characters of the series. There were some unexpected twists which kept me wanting to read more. When I read books I tend to only read a couple of chapters a day, but I was enjoying the book so much that I finished it really quickly. The only thing that annoyed me about the book is that it has the first chapter of the next book inside it. I mean this is ok if you have the next book but if like me you don't have it then you have to wait. All in all I give this book a 9/10, very enjoyable. A touch of Frost series 1

Advantages: British crime drama at its very best, some great acting
Disadvantages: The box set is much cheaper now than when I bought it!

...much more pleasant in the TV series than he is in the books even though that does not necessarily mean he is a loveable character. The episodes are generally 1,5 hours and free standing although many of the characters that are introduced in one episode will pop up in later episodes. In every episode, as in the books, Frost juggles multiple cases. David Jason plays the scruffy Jack Frost fantastically well and I doubt anyone else could play this fairly complex character quite as well. Other actors that appear frequently are Bruce Alexander as Superintendent Mullett, Matt Bardock as D.C. Barnard and Caroline Harker as W.P.C Wallace. Okay, now that that is cleared up I will move on to the actual DVD. The first series box set includes 2 DVD cases, the first one containing 2 DVDs the second one just the 1. One of my really girly friends loves nail varnish and must have at least 50 bottles of every colour imaginable. The other day we were going through a last minute check list for her wedding and the colour of nail varnish came up. What should she wear and what should the bridesmaids wear? We wanted something sheer and subtle for us girls so that her hands would glow (she opted for a french manicure). The answer... MAC Frost. It is actually intended as a top coat to add a glittery sheen on the surface of the main colour, but we loved it so much that we decided that was all we needed.
