...When my brother was 15 he decided to go get a "proper" haircut. In the past he'd just let my dad attack him with the hair clippers, but all his friends were getting all these new messy cuts, so he had to join in. As usual, when they got to the counter the hairdresser went through the suggested products and my brother ended up picking out the Fudge Hair Shaper: firm hold factor 2. I had a read of the back and as well as styling it said it could also be used to scrunch hair. Since I have curly hair I have pinched it a few times to try and define my curls better. Packaging It comes in an orange plastic pot with a grey/silver lid. The Fudge symbol (a black design with an 'F' in the centre) is displayed on top of the lid. Shoppingpuss loves Fudged up hair!

...I'm dedicating this review to carlypussycat, another reviewer here on ciao, who writes great beauty reviews! Since purchasing Fudge Shaper from Slapiton.tv. (excellent customer service by the way) it has become one of my most used and favourite products. I am a bit of a flibertygibert when it comes to beauty stuff...buying brand after brand of stuff then discarding the poor flicked off product, to be later palmed off to my unsuspecting sister or mother! Anyway the fact that my Shaper is still being used warrants me recommending it to you. Fudge is an Australian brand and this product, Shaper, is rated as firm hold factor 2 (Creative Hair Gum 1 being the strongest). Ooh, Your Hair Smells Nice

Advantages: Excellent hold, smells great, washes out easily, not that widely available.
Disadvantages: Expensive compared with most high street styling products, not that widely available.

...Inevitably the first thing that anyone says when you're wearing Fudge is that your hair smells nice. Definitely the best hair styling product I've ever used, it doesn't just smell nice, but holds extremely well and even when you use it as regularly as I do, lasts for ages. Fudge up your hair!

Advantages: Easy to use, great results, does what it says on the tin!

..., that I start to feel that I have wasted my money - sometimes semi-permenants are more expensive than permenants. So there I am, sitting with all my friends, over what I would like to say was a cup of frappacino or something...but was in fact a double vodka or something, discussing this problem with them, when one of them suggests using hairspray. I've always found wash in/wash outs to make your hair feel hard and sticky, but she assured me that with Fudge, this was not the case. So the next day I rush out to find the product. I had a little problem getting hold of it...I eventually found it in Superdrug, but it wasn't in Boots or any of the cheaper stores (somethimes Wilkinson etc sell cheap hair dye). ...Following a recent new cut from my brilliant hairdresser, I was left with little option but to return to the horrible world of hair styling. Frankly, I've been there and done it all, tried everything under the sun (except TIGI and American Crew) and never found anything that I've liked. However, if there's one thing I've learnt, it's that you get what you pay for and although Fudge is expensive, it's well worth your money. My new cut is long, streaky blonde and it looks really great except for one thing, managability. I have for many years had long hair, for a many reasons. 1) I'm lazy & it was easy just to plod along with my scruffy hair 2) It's cheap just letting it get longer, with your mother-in-law cutting it occasionally. 3) As my hair is curly, I felt it was the only thing I could do. As I am writing this opinion, my hair is trim, neat & looking fantastic. With my faithful companion Fudge sat next to me. I decided at the end of July this year to get my hair cut. Hair Like Heaven!

Advantages: Amazing Looking, Amazing Smelling, Lasts Forever

...This stuff rocks! I discovered fudge shaper when my hairdresser used it on my newly-short hair. She was doing this 'shake about and scrunch' thing, and the first I knew was this beautiful smell! I bought some straight away! It smells sweet, but not at all sickly. Fudge is an apt name to describe the smell and texture. At around £9 a tub, it's not cheap, but it outperforms similarly priced products like TIGI Bedhead. You only need a tiny bit, and it's perfect for unstructured, short to medium styles. You just place a tiny bit (tip of your finger) between your palms, rub together and spread through towel-dried or dry hair, then scrunch and rub until it looks great! Fudge Skrewd Gel for Taming Curly Hair

Advantages: Great product, a little goes a long way, it really works!
Disadvantages: Not a widespread availability

...I have naturally spirally curly hair that reaches about 3 inches past my shoulders. Some people might think I'd be happy about that...but until I found this product, it was a curse! This product helps eliminate that awful frizz that natural curly haired people detest. It helps define your curls and give them good shine. My hair feels and looks so much healthier when I use this product and a little really does go a long way. Considering the length of my hair, I can rub a 50p sized (approximately) blob between my two palms and distribute it through my towel dried hair with ease (with the help of a wide tooth comb). I certainly don't need any more than that so if you have shorter curly hair, a tube of this stuff should last you quite some time. Fabulous Fudge

Advantages: Extremely versatile

...Fudge Hair shaper is a God-send! I was first introduced to it by my sister and I was so impressed, I had to buy some. Fudge is only available from hair salons and is fairly expensive. I paid £7:95 for a 100g pot which is quite expensive, although totally worthwhile. I used to use wax but I didnt like the effect, my hair would sometimes look greasy from using it. Fudge Hair Shaper is extremely versatile because you can comb it through your hair as well as scrunching and moulding it. I especially like to use this product for spiking my hair and the effect will last a long time. The Hair shaper has a pleasant 'fudge' smell to it and doesnt leave your hair looking sticky and dry. Its worth trying because of it's numerous uses....
