...When my brother was 15 he decided to go get a "proper" haircut. In the past he'd just let my dad attack him with the hair clippers, but all his friends were getting all these new messy cuts, so he had to join in. As usual, when they got to the counter the hairdresser went through the suggested products and my brother ended up picking out the Fudge Hair Shaper: firm hold factor 2. I had a read of the back and as well as styling it said it could also be used to scrunch hair. Since I have curly hair I have pinched it a few times to try and define my curls better. Packaging It comes in an orange plastic pot with a grey/silver lid. The Fudge symbol (a black design with an 'F' in the centre) is displayed on top of the lid. Shoppingpuss loves Fudged up hair!

Advantages: Shapes hair and smells great
Disadvantages: Bit expensive and difficult to find

...my hair it didn't feel sticky like it has with other wax products. It also washed out really easily too, with just one wash of my usual shampoo. I thought I would need special clarifying shampoo to get it out. Still Fudging Although I've had my Shaper about 6 months I still have about half left, as you really only need a small amount of product each time. It has also been great to use in damp weather as it is humidity resistant . My hair is quite thick/course and I've found that although the product does not come out, the srunching does tend to drop slightly by the end of the day. However, if your hair does go a bit flat, if you dampen your hand and scrunch your hair up...voila! it is back in shape again! When my hair has been razor cut (therefore much lighter) the style stays in longer, so I would say that this product...

Fudge - the shape of things to come..

Advantages: Effective, non-greasy, non-flakey product ideal for all hair types
Disadvantages: Pricey and not readily available in the high street.

Ooh, Your Hair Smells Nice

Advantages: Excellent hold, smells great, washes out easily, not that widely available.
Disadvantages: Expensive compared with most high street styling products, not that widely available.

...'m using a wax style product. Fudge Shaper is a bit of a revelation in this department. One normal wash with shampoo is enough to remove it, and it doesn't leave a residue or require persistent effort to get rid of it. This is definitely a big plus for me. From my experience, I'd say Fudge Shaper works well with all styles and lengths of hair. I've had short hair for ages, and styling this was easy. Now my hair is a bit longer, I may need a bit more Shaper, but it nonetheless delivers great results. My sister has also been known to borrow it off me to flick up the ends of her hair, so it works with just about any style I can think of. I've not found anything better for creating the sort of messy/spiky look I personally favour. ...Following a recent new cut from my brilliant hairdresser, I was left with little option but to return to the horrible world of hair styling. Frankly, I've been there and done it all, tried everything under the sun (except TIGI and American Crew) and never found anything that I've liked. However, if there's one thing I've learnt, it's that you get what you pay for and although Fudge is expensive, it's well worth your money. My new cut is long, streaky blonde and it looks really great except for one thing, managability. My hairdresser told me I'd need to get used to heat styling to keep it sleek and dry so the colour would actually be the same as when I left the salon but being a bloke, this became quite difficult and I ended up returning to styling tools to help me achieve that desired look. Fancy hair - Tigi Catwalk Honey and Oatmeal Shampoo

Advantages: moisturises hair, makes it feel thick and fuller
Disadvantages: The cost and the smell is a little too sweet, doesn't lather up much

...I like trying out different shampoos and this is the most recent one I have tried out. This shampoo is from Bead Head, Tigi and is from the Catwalk range. The shampoo is an oatmeal and honey shampoo. It is meant to be comfort food for damaged hair. Unfortunately I do fall in to this category since I have coloured my hair quite a lot and the ends of my hair are quite dry! The shampoo comes in two sizes, a 750ml size and a 400ml size. I bought the 750ml size, which is nice and big! The bottle is a see-through green colour, so you can see how much shampoo is left in the bottle. It has a large 'C' on the front of it and 'Catwalk' written through the middle of the C. At the bottom written in white writing is 'Oatmeal & Honey Shampoo'. On the back are instructions for use in several different languages. I really like the design of the bottle...

Hair Like Heaven!

Advantages: Amazing Looking, Amazing Smelling, Lasts Forever
Disadvantages: A little pricey, but lasts longer than cheaper products

...This stuff rocks! I discovered fudge shaper when my hairdresser used it on my newly-short hair. She was doing this 'shake about and scrunch' thing, and the first I knew was this beautiful smell! I bought some straight away! It smells sweet, but not at all sickly. Fudge is an apt name to describe the smell and texture. At around £9 a tub, it's not cheap, but it outperforms similarly priced products like TIGI Bedhead. You only need a tiny bit, and it's perfect for unstructured, short to medium styles. You just place a tiny bit (tip of your finger) between your palms, rub together and spread through towel-dried or dry hair, then scrunch and rub until it looks great! Batiste Dry Shampoo - a good product for hair emergencies!

Advantages: Makes hair look clean; excellent value; doesn't irritate scalp.
Disadvantages: Leaves an unpleasant deposit; hair doesn't 'feel' as clean as after a wash.

...I am a bit of a slave to my hair as it needs washing every day. Although some hair stylists don't recommend daily washing, I think some peoples' hair just needs it, and I'm one of those people. If you have a morning when you're in a real rush, washing and drying your hair can be too time-consuming. It can be much quicker to pop a shower-cap on and have a quick shower without having to deal with shampooing, conditioning and using a hairdryer for 20 minutes - but I never feel clean and presentable if my hair looks a little bit greasy.
