Fantastic Fuengirola Accomodation

Advantages: Far enough away from Spains night noise to relax

...Fuengirola Park Hotel, Well what can I say, been to this Hotel 4 times and had a great time on each occasion. The Hotel isn't strictly speaking in Fuengirola, its about 1 1/2 miles further along the coast in a much quieter area known as Torreblanca, which in itself no bad thing, as Fuengirola's nightlife can be quite loud to say the least. The Hotel is a very friendly place to stay, but probably suited to Families that either require a more relaxed holiday or just the slightly older generation, but still, having said this my two teenagers have always enjoyed themselves there. It deserves its three star rating, a sizeable Hotel consisting of 447 rooms which are in two separated blocks on either side of the complex, but joined via the dining area ,and club. I love Fuengirola

Advantages: Friendly place for your Holidays
Disadvantages: Mad drivers

...After recently visiting friends in Fuengirola, Costa Del Sol, Spain I felt I should write this review as it thought it was a really love place to go on holiday. Fuengirola has had a lot of bad press recently on TV such as on Costa del Streetcrime where it is said to be one of the roughest parts of spain. I on the other hand had a lovely experience when I recently visited there and loved it. It is situated between Marbella and Portabenus with easy access to both via train liks and busses/taxis. Local attractions **************** Fuengirola Zoo which is quite a nice place to visit with the kids, but it isn?t up to the standards of our British Zoos. Aqua Land, which is the local water park with some great rides. Only suitable for people over 12, although there is a water park approx 20 mins away in Torremolenos which is suitable...

Fuengirola Zoo - A Fantastic day out

...Fuengirola Zoo is not at all what you're expecting. It is so much better than that. The word "Zoo" certainly has negative connotations for many of us, small cages, mistreated wildlife living in conditions which are totally alien to their natural environment. I am happy to say this is not true of Fuengirla Zoo. Easy to find and well sign-posted from the main bus station Fuengirola Zoo is a tucked away jem waiting to be discovered. With levels of interest for all ages, even for people who think they don't like zoos. I cannot stress enough ow strongly i would advise paying the zoo a visit! With regular tours and incredibly helpful staff the zoo can be an anjoyable and educational visit for all the family. On our visit we were lucky enough to be intime for the meercat talk. Comfort at Confortel

Advantages: New, modern hotel, excellent service, very clean, few children, good facilities, very nice area

From the outside it appears a very modern and well kept building having only been opened in January 2005. As soon as our travel operator's coach pulled up outside the hotel to drop us off a very friendly porter was there with a trolley to take our case inside - this stood out as being good service as the other hotels that our coach had dropped off at (including other 4 star hotels) didn't receive any such greeting. On entry into the reception area it is clear that this is a modern hotel. Decor is minimalistic and the colour scheme is natural, with lots of marble, wood and neutral colours...

...Fuengirola, In case you've never heard of it, Fuengirola is a resort on the Spanish Costa Del Sol, approximately 20 minutes from Malaga by local train service, and about ¾ hour by bus/taxi or car depending on traffic conditions. Probably not as well known as some of the major brochure titles like Torremillinos or BenalMadena, but in my opinion is not only just as good as them, but possibly the best resort area on the Costa Del Sol. A Zoo Without Cages

Advantages: No cages, small entrance fee, glorious sunny location and surroundings
Disadvantages: Not a local zoo, it's near Gibraltar, but well woth a visit on holiday!

...During our latest Summer Vacation in Gibraltar, we came accross a delightful village named Fuengirola and in it, the most beautiful well run zoo I have seen in a long time. Fuengirola Zoo is a relatively new attraction, but is one which, I think will survive the ages. It is very family orientated with it's themed restaurants, open spaces and play and picnic areas for adults and children alike. It also has a minature farm, where my four year old daughter would have happily spent most of her day. ...Fuengirola? Wheres that then? Thats was my first words to the holiday rep when she told me and my wife that we were going to be staying in the Fuengirola Beach Hotel in Fuengirola. I knew it was allocation on arrival but at least put me somewhere I've heard of. Oh well, I'd spent 3 hours on the plane and I was in Spain for a week so I might as well make the most of it. Only 20-30 minutes from Malaga airport, Fuengirola covers a 10.20KM² strech of the Costa Del Sol and in my opinion is one of the fastest developing tourist areas on the Costa Del Sol. It's between 2 and a half to 3 hours away by plane and is one of the hottest parts of the European mainland due to it's closeness to the equator. Fuengirola fever!

Advantages: good weather, good nightlife for all ages
Disadvantages: fuengirola promenade takes 2 hrs to walk along

...Me and my friends were leaving school this year and so decided to celebrate having left we would go abroad. We had originally set our hearts of Tenerife but our budgets, as we all only had weekend jobs, was low and found most places would be a stretch for us. After going to the travel agents they suggested Fuengirola in the Costa del Sol and we ended up booking a week at the Fuengirola beach hotel from the 17th of June till the 24th. Arriving at Malaga airport it was apparent it was going to be hot, as we were told it had reached 38 degrees the day before and as we sweltered on the bus the rep said sorry it won't be as warm as that today! Going through torremelanos I noticed it looked allot like the promenade in Blackpool which put me off but Fuengirola seemed better. The hotel itself was brilliant. I went with 17 other friends...

Fuengs for the memories

Advantages: Friendly, Nice Beach
Disadvantages: Some nightlife quite expensive

...to be in. There are many daytime activities if you dont want to spend all your time on the beach. My flatmate and I visited the Crocodile Park near Torremolinos and held a baby crocodile! We also visited Gibraltar for the day where the duty free is very cheap though you are restricted in how much you can bring back (1 litre spirits, 200 cigarettes). Gibraltar is also home to the Barbary Apes on top of the rock who roam wild. We walked to the top though I would advise getting the cable car instead! I also got robbed by an ape for a bag of food and when I tried to take it back it slapped me! A guide up there warned me that they have been known to bite if you attempt to take anything off them so I was a little wary. Fuengirola also has its own waterpark thought there is a bigger one next to the Crocodile Park. The slides are fairly basic...
