Fuji's XD Memory Card
Review of Fujifilm XD-Picture Card 1024 MB by  lyndsayw

Advantages: Great choice of memory size
Disadvantages: Superseded

...The Fuji XD Picture Card I bought with the Fuji FinePix F700 camera was the 512 MB version this allows a good amount of photo’s to be taken depending what mode your camera is set to quality wise the greater the quality the more space that is needed. These are a slim design 20X25X1.7mm with a weight of 2 grams. The XD Picture Card comes in 4 memory sizes they are: 256MB, 512 MB, 1GB and 2 GB cards they are small and compact and can be read by most card readers. The prices for this range from £11.95 to £38.95 new from http://www.askdirect.co.uk These are still a great card for great camera’s the quick research I done by having a look on E bay for some second hand cards reveal that these cards are cheap 2 purchase and the cameras are cheap as well especially for the quality that you are getting. All you need to do to install... Read review

Increase your memory with Fuji
Review of Fujifilm xD Picture Card 2GB by  John1958

Advantages: Small and compact and affordable
Disadvantages: can't be used with all cameras

...FujiFilm xD Card As I use only FujiFilm digital cameras – see previous product reviews on Ciao – I generally buy their memory. Until recently I had a variety of xD cards in various sizes. To be honest these pretty much met my needs, the highest being 512mb. Now this would hold around 240 pictures using the 6.0mp picture size. But, eager as I am to always have things bigger and better, I had been considering buying a 1gb card for a while. Don’t know why I did not, but while I was thinking along comes the sooper dooper 2gb version. I had to have it. I mean just had to! Why? Who knows? I’ll never be able to take enough photos in a year to fill it unless I give up my day job. The card will hold a massive 950 (or so) pictures at 6.0mp. I normally take photos at 3.0mp as this is more than adequate in terms... Read review

Not a flexible card.
Review of Olympus M-XD 2GM M-TYPE 2048 MB by  trevorbrock

Advantages: Fast, accurate, good capacity and Olympus extras
Disadvantages: A little bit fiddlier than SD or CF

...Mount Olympus. No, an Olympus M-XD card is a memory card designed to store data. The xd format is smaller and neater than the more common SD card, in fact roughly half the size. Olympus has marketed it for their cameras, with the plan that it would fit more easily than the larger type of cards. It can be used in other cameras which take the xd card, and other electrical items as well. 2 What are its features? It is a 2GB version, and that was the largest available XD card when I bought mine. However, the technology that was used in creating it, can be adapted for larger amounts of memory in the future, and up to 8GB cards are being planned at present. The special features of this Olympus card relate to their own brands of camera. It can allow panoramic shots to be taken, stored and then compiled in conjunction with their own... Read review

These 256 mb XD memory cards are made by Fujifilm are the latest in a line of good storage ideas for solid state information. Apparently the name comes from "eXtreme Digital" The price is very realistic at £9.99 each from various sites, plus delivery of course. I have just found some at £9.65 INCLUDING delivery, and a five year guarantee. Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd by  clivefallon

Advantages: Good quality, build and ease of use
Disadvantages: Fixed LCD monitor

...is due out soon so keep an eye open for it, it may be a stronger contender depending on it's price. The S6500fp had a tough poly-carb shell and well put together. It has a large and comfortable handgrip and ergonomically friendly controls. It takes less than 2 seconds to start up and has handy continuous shooting modes allowing pictured to be taken every 1.7 seconds, or 3 pictures per second but only 3 will be stored, either the first or last 3 taken. It runs on AA batteries (x4) so life depends on the type of battery you use. XD Picture cards are used in the SD6500fd. The pop-up flash is also very good, with an effective range at wide angle of an impressive 8.3m, or 4.6m at the telephoto end. With the sensor the S6500 also inherits the F30's amazing high-ISO performance. At 1600 ISO there is roughly as much image noise as the S... Read review

Fujifilm XD Picture Card (128mb)
Review of Fujifilm xD-Picture Card 128MB by  offspringy

Advantages: Fast, Tiney Physical Size, Decent storage for price
Disadvantages: Not as wide spread as SD + Compact Flash

...The Fujifilm XD Picture Card (128mb) is a very small (aprox 1.5cm) Memory card used in most Fujifilm cameras. It was developed jointly between Fujifilm and Olympus to create the worlds smallest and very fast memory card, which Fuji dropped into their camera's to promote them. The XD picture cards have had an update in recent months where they got even faster, and can be distinguished from the older models by their blue writing (there are 2 versions of XD card, normal and fast) the older card is black with gold writing. The card i bought (128mb) holds enough for small cameras (1-3mpx) but anything over that its a struggle to squeeze all your images onto it, i get on average 30-50 images before i have to dump my memory onto a hard drive (at 6mpx). Price when it was released was around £50 (which unfortunately i paid) you can... Read review

fujifilm xd 128mb card
Review of Fujifilm xD-Picture Card 128MB by  markfarrow

Advantages: large memory, easy transfer
Disadvantages: small size. price.

...i quickly out grew the 16mb card i got with my camera, so invested in the 128mb xd card. good choice. i have listed price as a dissadvantage, but it seems that the price has come down alot since i bought mine, so shop arround and find the best deal you can befor buying. the card operates in the same way as the 16mb version, only the staorage is much much higher, i have been getting arround 100-110 high quality pictures on this card, seems alot to take, but when your on holiday downloading them to your pc is not possible. so you still have to be a bit carefull about what pictures you want to keep or delete, after all you dont want to miss any memories of your hard earned holiday. transfering the pictures is still just as easy, although my pc takes a while to bring all the thumbnails of 100 images for downloading so i would say... * Say XD (instead of cheese) . .
Review of Fujifilm XD CARD 2048 MB by  smudgeybabes

Advantages: Getting cheap now.
Disadvantages: None unless you lose one.

...These cards are 2Gb XD memory cards made by Fujifilm, they are the latest in the line of a new storage system. XD stands for eXtreme Digital, the cards are made for digital cameras, plus other devices like digital voice recorders. The cost of these is very competitive, you can buy them for about £22 online. Remember though, this is plus P&P of course. You can buy them on the high street as well of course, but at a much higher price. They are often described as "Postage stamp" size cards. The size is 20 mm x 25 mm x 1.78 mm, and each card weighs 2.8 grams. You also have the option of going for non branded cards, although I would not use anything but original cards in my camera. You then are safe in the knowledge, that you have the genuine item, and your warranty is still valid. There are two types of these XD cards, M and H... Read review

Amazing breathtaking pictures and all for £90
Review of Fujifilm FinePix A800 by  scotlandizdabest

Advantages: Fantastic snaps at very afforable prices
Disadvantages: Short battery life

...glare! Funky! **Memory (internal and memory card)?** The internal memory is rubbish. Only 10 Mb of internal memory and say each photo is about 1 Mb thats not even 10 photos! So you have to invest in a memory card. I got a 1Gb SD memory card. It is compatible with any xD or SD memory card and the max it goes is 2Gb. So find the memory card that will suite your cause. Please note as well, because each picture is an average of 1 Mb then it will take up alot of memory on your computer, so it may be worth investing in a larger back-up system. **Price?** I bought mine very recently (about a week ago since review was written) from Curries for £89.97but had to get memory card as well so that an extra £15.99. Not a bad price for that high a resoution, actully a really good price. You do get your moneys worth **Whats Right With It... Read review
