A good choice of memory card
Advantages: Easy to use and stores lots of photos
Disadvantages: Can be expensive if you don'tshop around
...As many of you probably know I suddenly had to buy a couple of USB flash drives to save my pictures on due to my laptop 'playing up'. Not only that, there was also another reason why it was important for me to get this extra storage space so soon especially after my friend telling me how important it was to have them stored somewhere other than just my laptop This is because I have recently bought a new camera for our forthcoming trip to Florida early next year which I wanted to have a little early so that I could also take it on my upcoming work trip to Paris. With the new camera I needed to purchase a few bits to go with it including a gorgeous pink case and more importantly a new memory card and card reader. After researching which memory card would be suitable to match my camera I decided on this one - the Fuji 2GB XD TYPE M.

Fuji's XD Memory Card
Advantages: Great choice of memory size
Disadvantages: Superseded
...The Fuji XD Picture Card I bought with the Fuji FinePix F700 camera was the 512 MB version this allows a good amount of photo?s to be taken depending what mode your camera is set to quality wise the greater the quality the more space that is needed.
These are a slim design 20X25X1.7mm with a weight of 2 grams.
The XD Picture Card comes in 4 memory sizes they are: 256MB, 512 MB, 1GB and 2 GB cards they are small and compact and can be read by most card readers. The prices for this range from £11.95 to £38.95 new from http://www.askdirect.co.uk
These are still a great card for great camera?s the quick research I done by having a look on E bay for some second hand cards reveal that these cards are cheap 2 purchase and the cameras are cheap as well especially for the quality that you are getting.
All you need to do to install...

Increase your memory with Fuji
Advantages: Small and compact and affordable
Disadvantages: can't be used with all cameras
...FujiFilm xD Card
As I use only FujiFilm digital cameras ? see previous product reviews on Ciao ? I generally buy their memory. Until recently I had a variety of xD cards in various sizes.
To be honest these pretty much met my needs, the highest being 512mb. Now this would hold around 240 pictures using the 6.0mp picture size.
But, eager as I am to always have things bigger and better, I had been considering buying a 1gb card for a while. Don?t know why I did not, but while I was thinking along comes the sooper dooper 2gb version.
I had to have it. I mean just had to! Why? Who knows? I?ll never be able to take enough photos in a year to fill it unless I give up my day job.
The card will hold a massive 950 (or so) pictures at 6.0mp.
I normally take photos at 3.0mp as this is more than adequate in terms...

Disadvantages: Very small & easy to lose.

Hello.
These 256 mb XD memory cards are made by Fujifilm are the latest in a line of good storage ideas for solid state information.
Apparently the name comes from "eXtreme Digital"
The price is very realistic at £9.99 each from various sites, plus delivery of course. I have just found some at £9.65 INCLUDING delivery, and a five year guarantee.

Fujifilm XD Picture Card (128mb)
Advantages: Fast, Tiney Physical Size, Decent storage for price
Disadvantages: Not as wide spread as SD + Compact Flash
...The Fujifilm XD Picture Card (128mb) is a very small (aprox 1.5cm) Memory card used in most Fujifilm cameras.
It was developed jointly between Fujifilm and Olympus to create the worlds smallest and very fast memory card, which Fuji dropped into their camera's to promote them.
The XD picture cards have had an update in recent months where they got even faster, and can be distinguished from the older models by their blue writing (there are 2 versions of XD card, normal and fast) the older card is black with gold writing.
The card i bought (128mb) holds enough for small cameras (1-3mpx) but anything over that its a struggle to squeeze all your images onto it, i get on average 30-50 images before i have to dump my memory onto a hard drive (at 6mpx).
Price when it was released was around £50 (which unfortunately i paid) you can...

XD Card Sir? 256meg? Nice bit of Schmutter! .
Advantages: Masses of storage on a small card.
Disadvantages: Risk of losing it.
...camera. You are then safe in the knowledge that you will have the genuine item, and your warranty is valid.
There are two types of these cards, M and H type. They each have a different method of digitally encoding, but that need not concern us, as they are completely interchangable and compatable.
The transfer rate on these cards is 5mb per second. They came ready to use, you don't need to format them first like you have to do with the Tomtom.
The cards were jointly developed by Fujifilm and Olympus. They are coloured black, it is a shame they are not some colour like hi-vis yellow, because if you drop one of these outdoors, you may never find it. They do come in a protective case, which is easy enough to keep in the same case as your camera, my tip here is to make the case easy to spot, although the time you are most likely to lose...

fujifilm xd 128mb card
Advantages: large memory, easy transfer
Disadvantages: small size. price.
...i quickly out grew the 16mb card i got with my camera, so invested in the 128mb xd card. good choice.
i have listed price as a dissadvantage, but it seems that the price has come down alot since i bought mine, so shop arround and find the best deal you can befor buying.
the card operates in the same way as the 16mb version, only the staorage is much much higher, i have been getting arround 100-110 high quality pictures on this card, seems alot to take, but when your on holiday downloading them to your pc is not possible. so you still have to be a bit carefull about what pictures you want to keep or delete, after all you dont want to miss any memories of your hard earned holiday.
transfering the pictures is still just as easy, although my pc takes a while to bring all the thumbnails of 100 images for downloading so i would say...

fujifilm xd 16mb card
Advantages: easy storage and trnsfer of pictures
Disadvantages: small amount of storage
...this card came free with my digital camera, allthough you can by it as a stand alone card.
its small size can make it tricky to handle and instert into cameras and card readers, but overall it performs well. i have not had any problems with data stored on the card, as you can with some types.
there is quite a range of readers and adaptors availible for the xd card, and i would recomend a card reader be installed onto your pc for even simpler operation and transfer.
i have found that this card quickly becomes full, taking and storing on average 14 high quality images or about 25 low quality ones.
so overall, this card operates well as a beginers card, but i think you will soon out grow the storage space and i would reccomend a card of arround 128mb for any budding photographers out there....

For families and all ages (now can read > 2GB SD cards!!!)
Advantages: easy game play, lots of onine games to download, wireless internet conectivity, now read >2GB card
Disadvantages: not enough storage space (need a lot of 2GB SD cards to store the downloaded games).
...'s another review by another person).
There is an SD card slot but it only accept SD card size up to 2GB. Image you have downloaded more than 15 free demo games and each of them is 150MB in size! Those full version games are even bigger. You will need lots of 2GB SD cards to store your favourite downloads.
The console only comes with 512MB internal memory. That's only enough for game saves rather than saved games. How mean!
Potential for expansion
- Wii Fit (plus) with balance board [the most expensive bath room scale in the world!]
- other accessories yet to come for other types of games as an extension to the console. Wii chair? Wii hat? Just joking!
Overall summary:
Good console and innovative way of game play and suitable for all ages and abilities. Shame about the storage capacity.
Wish list for improvement:

* Say XD (instead of cheese) . .
Advantages: Getting cheap now.
Disadvantages: None unless you lose one.
...These cards are 2Gb XD memory cards made by Fujifilm, they are the latest in the line of a new storage system. XD stands for eXtreme Digital, the cards are made for digital cameras, plus other devices like digital voice recorders.
The cost of these is very competitive, you can buy them for about £22 online. Remember though, this is plus P&P of course. You can buy them on the high street as well of course, but at a much higher price. They are often described as "Postage stamp" size cards. The size is 20 mm x 25 mm x 1.78 mm, and each card weighs 2.8 grams.
You also have the option of going for non branded cards, although I would not use anything but original cards in my camera. You then are safe in the knowledge, that you have the genuine item, and your warranty is still valid.
There are two types of these XD cards, M and H...
