Non-branded cards are far cheaper!
Review of Fujifilm Memory Cards Digital Camera by
bssb
Advantages: Cheaper and quality is just as good
Disadvantages: Not stocked everywhere
...I was recently given a Fuji MX camera as a 21st birthday gift. It is a good camera but the problem I found was with the memory cards. It came with a 4mb card which is very limited in terms of capacity and so I looked into buying another.
I first visited the likes of comet who quoted £40 for a 8mb FujiFilm card. I asked if there were any other cards on the market (non-branded) and was told no.
I then tried a local proffessional camera shop. The chap was very helpful and said that he did not stock FujiFilm cards as they were too expensive. Instead he offered me a non branded card that has worked perfectly since I purchased it. It came with a 1 year guarantee and cost HALF the price of the FujiFilm card.
The large chain stores should better train their staff if they wish to offer a higher level of customer service. They should also...

Increase your memory with Fuji
Review of Fujifilm xD Picture Card 2GB by
John1958
Advantages: Small and compact and affordable
Disadvantages: can't be used with all cameras
...FujiFilm xD Card
As I use only FujiFilm digital cameras – see previous product reviews on Ciao – I generally buy their memory. Until recently I had a variety of xD cards in various sizes.
To be honest these pretty much met my needs, the highest being 512mb. Now this would hold around 240 pictures using the 6.0mp picture size.
But, eager as I am to always have things bigger and better, I had been considering buying a 1gb card for a while. Don’t know why I did not, but while I was thinking along comes the sooper dooper 2gb version.
I had to have it. I mean just had to! Why? Who knows? I’ll never be able to take enough photos in a year to fill it unless I give up my day job.
The card will hold a massive 950 (or so) pictures at 6.0mp.
I normally take photos at 3.0mp as this is more than adequate in terms of printing...

XD? Xcelent!
Review of Fujifilm xD-Picture Card 64MB by
Credance100
Advantages: Simple to use, Very compact.
Disadvantages: None to speak of.
...Fujifilms version of digital picture storage cards is the XD card. I bought a 64mb XD card to go alongside my A210 Fujifilm digital camera, it cost around 14 pounds when I bought it last July.
I was shocked by how small it actually was, its only a couple of milimetres thick, and is around 2 x 3 cm in area.
The card itself is simple to use, you simply open the hatch on your camera, and insert it in the indicated slot. Its as simple as that.
The card can hold different numbers of photographs depending on the set level of quality, specifically the number of megapixels. At 3 Megapixels it can hold around 25 photos, at 2 Megapixels around 50, and so on.
In certain models of Fujifilm digital cameras, you can also create short videos, then store them on the XD card. The 64mb model can hold a maximum of 20 seconds of footage.
If you do need...

Great Camera For a Great Price
Review of Fuji Finepix S3500 Zoom Digital Camera by
Jfoxon
Advantages: Looks Good, Takes nice pictures, SLR
Disadvantages: The View Finder is hard to see out off.
...The Fuji Finepix s3500. I bought this camera for my Photography college course and it is a great camera for the money. It takes great outdoor pictures it can have filters attached etc. Fuji are a very good make of digital camera at an affordable price. This camera has a 6 times optical Zoom. The Resolution Can be changed from 4.0 to 0.3mp. It takes an XD Card. The view finder is a bit hard to use but the Lcd Screen Makes up for that.
The camera is light weight and easy to grip. The shape is very nice and looks very smart. In the box you get The camera, 4 AA Batteries but it is better to get Rechargable ones to save money in the Future. A Bag, A Strap, an Adapter to attach Filters etc., A 16mb XD Memory Card but i would recommend Getting a bigger to store more pictures, A Usb Cable, Lens cap to keep the Lens Clean and Tv cables...

Not Great but Not Bad either.
Review of Fujifilm FinePix A350 by
Joker999
Advantages: Good Starter Cam
Disadvantages: Flimsy Build Quality
...In my opinion Fuji has been leader in bringing out the latest technology but this one does dissappoint. First of all the camera isn't that solid and easily scratches, there have even been instances where the camera has managed to scratch itself whilst being in the case! The quality however isn't that bad but isn't that good either it easily picks out a lot blur so there isn't much chance of a distorted picture, but an A4 printout did reveal a somewhat pixelated image and a slight colour differential. The camera is a handy size and it has all the effects you'd expect a digital camera to have, the menu system is also easy to access. The best part of the camera is probably the battery life I've had the camera for two weeks now and have taken it out about 5 times, 2 of those times the camera was constantly used in the same period so...

Fuji Fine Pix A465 Digital Camera
Review of Fuji Finepix A405 by
natashaone
Advantages: very user friendly
Disadvantages: none
...being a 68 year old male unused to cameras i was delighted when my son bought me a Fuji Fine Pix a405 prior to our trip to a Australia.
the camera proved to be very user friendly the instructions were easy to follow the location of and removal of the battery and memory card is a simple operation the LCD screen is certainly the best i have seen size wise and the clarity of picture is excellent a truly wonderful camera.
All of the photos taken so far have been admired by family and friends and the large screen has been noticed and favourable comments made.
This is a camera from which i have taken great photos and are proud to own. all attachments are very useful and easy to install highly recommended....

Very good unit for price.
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S5800 by
strikey
Advantages: Small, simple to use, great zoom and creat quality pics.
Disadvantages: Hmmm... the only one would be the viewfinder. A cover for it would be nice.
...Do a bit of arial photography, and after upgrading from cheap microtech unit ( Well same price really) I found this S5800 to be perfect for the job. It's strange, but megapixels seem to come in different quality, because the 2 camera's were both 8 megapixels...but the quality of the Fuji out shines the Microtech 100 fold. Go figure! The other thing I like about this unit is the digital zoom...it is absolutely genuine and perfect for long distance. For example of the zoom, I spotted 2 ducks way out in the field and thought I would test it for quality and zoom. These ducks were mere spots in the distance. I slid zoom to full, and snapped them. After downloading and viewing I was able to see the eyeballs of those critters as plain as day. I latter stepped out the distance...approx 260 meters. Wow...for the price this is much better than...

Affordable Pro Digital SLR
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S1 PRO by
Alexmouse
Advantages: Does everything
Disadvantages: No lens or memory card
...Definitely a camera for those with a bit more cash and looking for an SLR Nikon bodied camera.
You buy the camera with no lens but then Fuji assume you have Nikon Lenses to fit. It also comes with no memory card and you will probably need something large like an IBM Micro Drive It is a 6 Mega Pixel output which means huge prints and has every manual control of any good SLR.
Unlike the Nikon D1 it comes with all the cables and some seriously useful camera control software. All in all an affordable solution to those wishing to switch to digital from their existing SLR.
There are many different 'kits' available. Keep your eye on content and price and shop for the best buy....

ultimate MX2700 Review
Review of Fujifilm MX 2700 Digital Camera by
wazzmonkey
Advantages: Compact with great features
Disadvantages: battery life is sometimes a limitation
...After much deliberation i finally took the plunge and went for the Fuji MX2700. The camera has great features and all combined in a compact little size.
I have been in many different situations over the last 6 weeks since purchasing the camera and it has managed to come up with a decent picture every time. On some occasions i may have had to have a second go with the flash disabled or to zoom in a bit, but always gives a crisp clear result.
UK prices are falling all the time for this sophisticated little camera....

Fuji A340
Review of Fujifilm FinePix A340 by
CazP
Advantages: Easy to use, good first digital camera.
Disadvantages: No control
...the buttons at the back of the camera, and can also edit your pictures actually on the camera itself - or at least, you can trim them. You cannot adjust contrast or brightness.
The disadvantages are that you do not have control over white balance, and there is no EV (exposure value) setting so you'd better have a good image editing software package! It does come with a Fuji Viewer, which I found crashed frequently and eventually disappeared from my old Windows 98 computer. Having upgraded to Windows XP one can, of course, use the scanner and camera wizard.
The camera feels fairly solid. My only comment against is that after 2 years I lent it to my daughter who managed to break the zoom button on the back. Fuji were very good, and did repair it for £70 - basically replacing the back of the camera.
All in all, a good beginners camera....
