...I wanted to buy a camera that was easy to use, but that also had all the new tech (diff. photo modes, black and white, night, time). I found the Fujifilm great for everything that I needed. It is beautifully small and compact and the face recognition and anti-shake help me to get that perfect picture. The large screen at the back stops me from squiting when im trying to preview my pictures, and the minimal amount of buttons stops me from deleting something by accident. The best thing about this camera is its abililty to reduce the glare of the sun, no more bright photos with this camera, only beautiful and focused pictures. This camera saves me alot of time on the computer, as it already has red-eye reductions. I would recommend this camera to all those looking for a new toy...

Fuji FinePix S1500. Descendant of the S1000fd

Advantages: Huge zoom, Focus Tracking, Easy to use
Disadvantages: Bulky, A little slow, AA batteries are a bit inconvenient

...The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too. The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed. There are 14 preset scenes to choose from, each setting the camera to its optimum settings for the given scenario, but on top of this, the camera can be used...

...of my photos, and if you don't want to go straight to SLR, its a fab bridge camera, which sometimes in my opinion can be better than SLR. Its not the cheapest camera on the market, nor is it the most expensive, I think that the price is right, I wouldn't pay any more for it, and any less would not give it the respect that it deserves. Fuji FinePix F70EXR - slimline super-zoom

Advantages: Features, Low-light capability
Disadvantages: A little confusing to master and a little too expensive

...The Fuji FinePix F70EXR is billed by the manufacturer as the slimmest 10x zoom camera on the market and, at less than 23mm in depth, it is certainly very easy and convenient to carry around. The zoom is great for magnification, being the equivalent of 27-270mm in 35mm terms, but I found it to be a little fuzzy at the long end. There is also a 4x digital zoom for anyone who wants it. The FinePix F-series cameras are renowned for their low-light (high ISO) capabilities and the F70EXR should be no exception, sharing as it does the 1/2 inch sensor of the F200EXR but with 2 million fewer pixels crammed onto it. Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd the answer to my prayers!

Advantages: Everything! great pics, great value, great lense, great fun, and user friendly!
Disadvantages: Very few! bad battery choice (i.e. LR6 or FR6 AA's only), no mechanical image stabalisation!

...professional TV camera's) the Fujifilm far out shined most of its competitors by a mile! Check out the other Fujifilm Finepix's "s" ranges! as most componants are reused and swapped around in their models, so what is good for one, is good if not better for another!...

...I love this camera! I was bought it as a present from a photography obsessed relative and he wouldn't buy me rubbish. The package: digital FinePix camera Z10fd, Li-on battery NP-45, battery charger, handy strap, USB cable, A/V cable, CD-ROM and manual. Technical part: works on windows Vista, XP home, XP Pro, 2000 Pro. 7.2 mega pixals, 3x optical zoom and 2.5 incg LCD screen Handy extras (not supplied) - XD picture memory card and carry case. Memory card is deffinately recommended so you can take more pictures and a carry case would be nice although I don't use one as it's small and light enough to fit in the pocket of my handbag. Not being a camera person and never really using one before I found this easy to set up and install on my PC. The menus are easy to navigate and there is a more than ample choice of shooting modes...

...I got my Fujifilm s1000fd only a few months ago, due to my s800 breaking i got this discounted. i think it is a great camera for all types of photography or just for quick shots, I will start with picture quality, and for what is known as a "bridge" camera is gives superb picture quality and sharpness, the highest resolution is way higher than most amateur photographers would need and the levels of detail are surprisingly good, noise is reduced in low light by a staggering 3200 ISO it can shoot as low res at around 2.5 frames per second and at a very high shutter speed of 2000 way outdoing any bridge or point and shoot camera within the price range.
