...The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too. The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed. Fujifilm finepix F100fd

Advantages: Reduction of sun glare
Disadvantages: Not always he best quality pictures

...I wanted to buy a camera that was easy to use, but that also had all the new tech (diff. photo modes, black and white, night, time). I found the Fujifilm great for everything that I needed. It is beautifully small and compact and the face recognition and anti-shake help me to get that perfect picture. The large screen at the back stops me from squiting when im trying to preview my pictures, and the minimal amount of buttons stops me from deleting something by accident. The best thing about this camera is its abililty to reduce the glare of the sun, no more bright photos with this camera, only beautiful and focused pictures. This camera saves me alot of time on the computer, as it already has red-eye reductions. I would recommend this camera to all those looking for a new toy...

...of my photos, and if you don't want to go straight to SLR, its a fab bridge camera, which sometimes in my opinion can be better than SLR. Its not the cheapest camera on the market, nor is it the most expensive, I think that the price is right, I wouldn't pay any more for it, and any less would not give it the respect that it deserves. Well done Fuji and thanks for the memories....

Fujifilm Strike Again

Advantages: The camera is brilliant, everything I wanted and didn't get with my vivitar camera

Fuji FinePix F70EXR - slimline super-zoom

...The Fuji FinePix F70EXR is billed by the manufacturer as the slimmest 10x zoom camera on the market and, at less than 23mm in depth, it is certainly very easy and convenient to carry around. The zoom is great for magnification, being the equivalent of 27-270mm in 35mm terms, but I found it to be a little fuzzy at the long end. There is also a 4x digital zoom for anyone who wants it. The FinePix F-series cameras are renowned for their low-light (high ISO) capabilities and the F70EXR should be no exception, sharing as it does the 1/2 inch sensor of the F200EXR but with 2 million fewer pixels crammed onto it. ...For a relatively inexpensive camera, the Fuji FinePix J250 has some surprising features stowed away in that little casing, such as digital/sensor shift Image Stabilization, Face Detection, Scene Recognition and a whopping great 3? LCD screen. The 5x optical zoom gives a focal range of 5.1 ? 25.5mm, or 28 ? 140mm in 35mm equivalent terms, which is great for a wide range of situations, and there is Continuous Shooting, albeit it at a lowly rate of 1.4fps. ...I love this camera! I was bought it as a present from a photography obsessed relative and he wouldn't buy me rubbish. The package: digital FinePix camera Z10fd, Li-on battery NP-45, battery charger, handy strap, USB cable, A/V cable, CD-ROM and manual. Technical part: works on windows Vista, XP home, XP Pro, 2000 Pro. 7.2 mega pixals, 3x optical zoom and 2.5 incg LCD screen Handy extras (not supplied) - XD picture memory card and carry case. Memory card is deffinately recommended so you can take more pictures and a carry case would be nice although I don't use one as it's small and light enough to fit in the pocket of my handbag. Not being a camera person and never really using one before I found this easy to set up and install on my PC. The menus are easy to navigate and there is a more than ample choice of shooting modes...
