...The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too. The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed. Fuji FinePix F70EXR - slimline super-zoom

Advantages: Features, Low-light capability
Disadvantages: A little confusing to master and a little too expensive

...The Fuji FinePix F70EXR is billed by the manufacturer as the slimmest 10x zoom camera on the market and, at less than 23mm in depth, it is certainly very easy and convenient to carry around. The zoom is great for magnification, being the equivalent of 27-270mm in 35mm terms, but I found it to be a little fuzzy at the long end. There is also a 4x digital zoom for anyone who wants it. The FinePix F-series cameras are renowned for their low-light (high ISO) capabilities and the F70EXR should be no exception, sharing as it does the 1/2 inch sensor of the F200EXR but with 2 million fewer pixels crammed onto it. Advantages: Portable, solid, and takes great photos.
Disadvantages: Small lense produces barrelling. Red eye.

...This is a brilliant camera. Mine is a couple of years old and I suspect Fuji have newer offerings by now. I bought it when I had a disaster at a wedding and all the film came out of my old SLR! I've never regretted that decision because this camera (and this applies to the models that will surely follow it) is portable without sacrificing quality. The pictures it produces appear huge on a monitor screen and a program like Irfanview (freeware) is handy for viewing them because it makes each picture fit automatically. The camera comes as standard wtih an inadequate 16Mb memory smartcard. I bought a 128Mb card and now I can get over 100 superb pitcures in one go - more than enough for a two week holiday I find. Fujifilm Strike Again

Advantages: The camera is brilliant, everything I wanted and didn't get with my vivitar camera

It does look very stylish if I say so myself, it would have looked better in black or red even, but it does look quite posh, and durable which is something that you want with a camera and which is something I did not get with the previous camera. The lens is tiny, it only takes up a small portion of the front of the camera, however takes some amazing pictures, it only comes out about two finger lengths, and even when you are zooming it does not get any bigger. Fuji FinePix 4900 Zoom - Great Camera!

Advantages: excellent colours and sharpness
Disadvantages: Really need a fast charger and spare battery

...Why write a review of an outdated model you may ask. I realize that newer models have now superseded this camera but the reason for this review is that there should still be plenty of second user 4900 Zoom cameras to be found. Having been used to Canon AE1, an excellent quality SLR camera, and having stupidly sold it to go digital, I found myself really missing the quality I had been used to. My first digital camera was, in fact, a Fuji FinePix. It was one of their very early models and although it was then considered to be one of the better quality models it obviously could not begin to compare to my SLR Canon. After a year or so of very disappointing photos I eventually bought my 4900 Zoom from eBay and I was the second user. It cost me £300 a couple of years ago, although I expect you could get one for even less now...

Fuji Finepix S602 Zoom Digital Camera

Advantages: Picture Quality, Feature Rich, Easy to Use, Versatile

...I have been using the Fuji Finepix for about 2 years now having taken thousands of photos during that time so the following is based on substantial experience of using this camera. When purchased this camera was supplied with nothing more than the camera, some standard batteries, a 16mb memory card, a strap, lens cover and manual as well as leads to connect to a pc and some software for the PC. As most people tend to do I immediately set up the camera and took some photos. On standard settings the 16mb memory card held about 15 photos. Not much use. Fortunately I had a 64mb card thrown in by the store so I was able to take another 40 or so but still not many. For this reason if you buy this camera I would suggest you also buy a 1gb compact flash card which will work in the slot designed for microdrives. I can fit over 600...
