Fuji FinePix F70EXR - slimline super-zoom

Advantages: Features, Low-light capability
Disadvantages: A little confusing to master and a little too expensive

...The Fuji FinePix F70EXR is billed by the manufacturer as the slimmest 10x zoom camera on the market and, at less than 23mm in depth, it is certainly very easy and convenient to carry around. The zoom is great for magnification, being the equivalent of 27-270mm in 35mm terms, but I found it to be a little fuzzy at the long end. There is also a 4x digital zoom for anyone who wants it. The FinePix F-series cameras are renowned for their low-light (high ISO) capabilities and the F70EXR should be no exception, sharing as it does the 1/2 inch sensor of the F200EXR but with 2 million fewer pixels crammed onto it. Also the EXR technology is great for combating noise on higher ISO shots. Fuji FinePix F200EXR - The Party Animal's camera

Advantages: Low-light capability, Auto-focus is brilliant
Disadvantages: Awkward menus, Slow start-up

Fuji FinePix S1500. Descendant of the S1000fd

Advantages: Huge zoom, Focus Tracking, Easy to use
Disadvantages: Bulky, A little slow, AA batteries are a bit inconvenient

...The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too. The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed. Fujifilm finepix F100fd

Advantages: Reduction of sun glare
Disadvantages: Not always he best quality pictures

...I wanted to buy a camera that was easy to use, but that also had all the new tech (diff. photo modes, black and white, night, time). I found the Fujifilm great for everything that I needed. It is beautifully small and compact and the face recognition and anti-shake help me to get that perfect picture. The large screen at the back stops me from squiting when im trying to preview my pictures, and the minimal amount of buttons stops me from deleting something by accident. The best thing about this camera is its abililty to reduce the glare of the sun, no more bright photos with this camera, only beautiful and focused pictures. This camera saves me alot of time on the computer, as it already has red-eye reductions. I would recommend this camera to all those looking for a new toy...

Advantages: The camera is brilliant, everything I wanted and didn't get with my vivitar camera

....9 cm high. It weighs 145g. It is of a very attractive design, being silver, sleek and stylish in a hardwearing metal, aluminium brushed shell. Amazingly Fujifilm have also managed to fit in a 1.8 inch LCD screen for perfect viewing. (The screen on the back) Special feature: One thing I love about this camera is that instead of having a boring power button like most cameras, you turn the FinePix F420 on by sliding a panel on the front of the camera from left to right. Then, the Finepix lettering lights up in a blue colour for a few seconds! Photo Quality: The quality of photos on a digital camera depends on the number of mega-pixels. 1-2 is generally rated as okay, 3-4 as good and 5+ is excellent - perfect for professional photography.
