...FINE TO PIX FUJI I have owned the Fuji Film FinePix Z10 for around two months. It is red and quite funky. I am not a trendy teenager, in fact I am over sixty, but really love it's trendy appearance and also the fact that it is neat enough just to slip in my pocket or handbag. It is also funky enough to draw admiring glances from other people, especially youngsters. It is easy to download pictures on to my PC which with other cameras has sometimes been a problem. There is an extensive handbook with it, which as yet I have only read the basic instructions. I am sure there is much more that I could do with my camera. ...The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too. The package: digital FinePix camera Z10fd, Li-on battery NP-45, battery charger, handy strap, USB cable, A/V cable, CD-ROM and manual. Technical part: works on windows Vista, XP home, XP Pro, 2000 Pro. 7.2 mega pixals, 3x optical zoom and 2.5 incg LCD screen Handy extras (not supplied) - XD picture memory card and carry case. Memory card is deffinately recommended so you can take more pictures and a carry case would be nice although I don't use one as it's small and light enough to fit in the pocket of my handbag. Not being a camera person and never really using one before I found this easy to set up and install on my PC. The menus are easy to navigate and there is a more than ample choice of shooting modes...

...everything had a slight fuzz. It isn't MASSIVELY noticable when looking at the pictures alone, but when you compare it to a photo taken by another camera it is obvious how bad the image quality is. My brother sent his back after after it for 2 weeks but i solidiered on since i had purchased the 2 year extended warranty. I wish i hadn't, i wish i'd sent it back! I can honestly say that a disposable camera takes a better quality image. Despite reading reviews for the camera before buying, i have subsequently read a review which said " General image softness is also apparent in all of our test photos. In wide-angle shots, especially, the Z10 displays a wider visibly soft edge than most cameras, even most ultra-compacts." I had considered sending it back to the manufacturer to get it looked at but apparently it is just a standered feature of this...

Fuji FinePix F70EXR - slimline super-zoom

...The Fuji FinePix F70EXR is billed by the manufacturer as the slimmest 10x zoom camera on the market and, at less than 23mm in depth, it is certainly very easy and convenient to carry around. The zoom is great for magnification, being the equivalent of 27-270mm in 35mm terms, but I found it to be a little fuzzy at the long end. There is also a 4x digital zoom for anyone who wants it.
