...would send some disks that would put this right. So I turned off the Laptop to wait for the disks which, still have not arrived 1 week later. When I decided to turn the Laptop on again it came up with a message saying Disk Error, press any key to continue, I pressed any key and the same message was repeated several times but the Laptop would not start. I again phoned Fujitsu/Siemens and was told that it was to be returned to Comet for refund or replacement, but that they had to have a copy of the reciept from the manager at comet to send the code needed for this to hAppen. So I had to phone Comet to get this done, this was completed the same day( Thur), but no number was sent to Comet until the following Mon, this was when I finally decided to ask for a refund. I have not been able to asses how good this Laptop was, but can say honestly...

I feel lucky that i came across this netbook while searching for something to compare with the higher priced HP netbooks. Its got everything you need and more. I was pleased to get the windows operating system, which meant i had no compatability issues with my braodband dongle. The battery size is great, fully charged, I get 4 hours constant use. The webcam is a bonus. Mouse buttons are nicely located and sized. Speakers are just right. Styling is upto date, I like the white, even though it comes with a second marroon lid cover, I just need the white porsche 911 to go with it. Memory card slot is perfect. ...This is a review on the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 2727 laptop. There are a lot of good things, great things even about this laptop though I must admit there are things when using it, you just feel could have been improved or upgraded to make the laptop better and less annoying in a way. The most annoying thing I must mention when I was using this laptop was the fan noise. The noise its self isn’t really loud, however it seems to come on at random moments when your using the laptop, and it doesn’t even seem to be when running demanding programs, so this is something that really annoyed me about this laptop. This really is a good home laptops though, that is what its been designed for and it what it should be used for. There are quite a few problems if you were wanting to use this as a portable laptop to take on journeys...

...the battery life does not last long at all. The time it lasts depends on what you're doing however. For instance if you are just writing a document in Word it may last just over an hour and a half stretching possible to two hours if you're lucky. If playing games you'll be lucky to get 50 minutes out of it. I therefore keep it plugged in most of the time. Also, another point to note is that if you switch the fan on, when playing games they may become a little slow. However you don't really need the extra fan. The graphics are really good (gaming wise), especially for a laptop. This really is a fantastic laptop made even better by its price. I actually thought that it was the perfect time since the January sales were coming, and according to the news the sales were to be massive. Needless to say there were very few laptops in my price range on sale, so after hunting far and wide I came upon the LI 2727. ~The Product~ A quick overview of the laptop itself. It has :- A 15.4 inch widescreen 1.86GHz Dual Core Intel Processor 1024MB RAM 160GB Hard Drive DVD Rewriter and comes with Vista Home pre installed. That's the dull bit out of the way. The outer casing is a silvery colour, whereas opened up the laptop is black inside. I'm not sure of the exact weight, about 2 or 3 kg I would imagine, so its pretty light weight, although if you had to cart it around, you'd need the power supply so it could be quite bulky...
