iv had better, yet it is quite good laptop.
Advantages: not bad laptop
Disadvantages: gaming
...I recently bought this Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5535 from ebuyer for £300 including vat. I had been looking around previously for a new laptop, but nothing too expensive, as I just need a cheap simple one to use until I can purchase a better one.
After looking around for a few weeks I came across this one on this site, I looked around for the same laptop and because I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else, I bought this one from them.
It took just over 3 weeks to arrive and it arrived safely and In fully working order.
The design of this laptop is ok, like I say this isn't anything special but it's a great laptop if you want great value for money. It looks quite business like, meaning it's a bit basic, however it wouldn't look out of place in a teenagers bed room either.
Its really portable too, it only has a 15...

A "just what you want" laptop for a good price
Advantages: Core 2 Duo, reasonable spec to price ratio. Expandable RAM
Disadvantages: None so far, unless you don't like Vista.
...to 2Gbs - that should buy this some time before obsolescence overtakes it.
It has bluetooth which is close to essential these days, with all the devices one end up with, and 4 USB ports, which I find just sufficient.
It came preloaded with a 90 day subscription to Norton, Nero and Adobe Acrobat, which saves a bit of downloading from the internet. Has a backup disk of course, but just switched on and was ready to go. Very easy to use.
Good value at a smidge over £500. not an amazing bargain, but for business use (i.e don't buy it if you only want to play games - there are better chips than this for that) a good solid purchase. I'm happy enough.
For those of you who like techy stuff, here are the stats:

A great laptop
Advantages: Price, spec
Disadvantages: Unknown durability
...This laptop has been selling pretty cheaply at Ebuyer recently.
I'd like to say a few things that I feel are important to know about this laptop before buying it.
Firstly, the spec is more than up to running 95% of programs in common use today. The dual core processor means that you get 2 processors for the price of one, effectively.
The one problem that it has, which many cheaper laptops share, is that it comes with limited memory. However, in contrast to what the previous reviewer said, I found it easy to buy an upgrade fairly cheaply, at £14 from Ebuyer. This upgrade sped up the computer quite significantly.
Overall, the computer runs well and for the time being seems to be OK. The main downside to using this laptop is that I worry that it will break down on me because it's not made by a manufacturer known for good...

A cheap laptop for office&internet
Advantages: price,price,price
Disadvantages: LCD, lack of scroll, weak GPU performance
...I bought this laptop one month ago as I needed one for university. I have chosen this one as it was the cheapest decent laptop. I bought for something around 280pounds from an on-line shop in Romania.
In the package there was the laptop, AC adapter, network cable, a CD with drivers and one with Linux Knoppix. The first impression was that I bought it at a fair price. The plastic looks cheap but the keyboard is fine. First day I used it only connected to the AC adapter but second day I took it with me at work. When running on battery the LCD is awful because it looks so much darker and you can barely recognize it. That's the first negative point. The second one is that you don't have a scroll and as I am surfing a lot on the internet it is really crap. If you think of playing games I would not recommend it as it has the weakest graphic...

Big laptop Small money
Advantages: small money for perfect performance
Disadvantages: none
...I have used Dell Inspiron 1545 for a couple of months. I'm glad I made right decision. My friend who works in computer filed suggested me this one after asking me my demand for a laptop.
First , I would like to say , it can totally meet all requirements I expected from a good laptop. I use it to write articles especially for my blog, to send and receive emails, to talk on MSN and Skype with my family and friends abroad. It never let me down. I also used it to watch TV including the programs on BBC Iplayer. Compared to my desk computer, I can feel the speed on my laptop was faster and the stability of the network was better.
Second, it has nice overall design. Slim, Simple and sleek. You have three colors to choose . I chose the black one that matches from outside to inside. The keyboard has all the necessary controls that I used...

Nice laptop, FAB extended warranty!
Advantages: Good specs, fast, wonderful extended warranties
Disadvantages: Feels a bit flimsy, no indicator lights showing wifi connection, etc.
...This is really more a review of Dell's warranty than of the laptop itself, but as there was no section for such a thing I thought I'd combine the two.
The laptop: It's a good little machine with pretty good specs for its price. You can already get more for your money than when we bought it just a few months ago, so check the current offers (make sure to look around the Web site, as I found by clicking on various offers I got the same machine for less) You can also now get a free upgrade to Windows 7 when that comes out later this year. It's fast, cute, and does everything
we need. You can get it in a variety of colors, either for free if there is an offer on or for about 30 quid otherwise. Black is free whether an offer is on or not. Also, some have said it's not good for gaming -- that is probably only true if you are a hardcore gamer...

Dell Inspiron 1545 - good entry level laptop
Advantages: Cheap, good brand, lots of features,
Disadvantages: Probably not powerful enough for games, bottom of the market now
...The Dell Inspiron 1545 is an easy to use entry level laptop. Unlike two years ago when I bought my previous laptop, you can now get a number of Dell computers (of which this is one) direct from high street retailers. This is good if you want it in a rush and want a nearby place to handle any issues, but has the disadvantage that you can't customise your laptop to your own requirements to the same extent that you can if you buy it direct from Dell (which takes several weeks).
Because Dell are so good at allowing customisation, you need to be very careful when you buy that you actually get the one you need - they are not all the same, so you can't just go into a shop and say "Give me your Inspiron 1545" - you need to be sure that it e.g. has a suitable processor, enough memory and a big enough hard drive for your needs. At the time...
