...I have used Dell Inspiron 1545 for a couple of months. I'm glad I made right decision. My friend who works in computer filed suggested me this one after asking me my demand for a laptop. First , I would like to say , it can totally meet all requirements I expected from a good laptop. I use it to write articles especially for my blog, to send and receive emails, to talk on MSN and Skype with my family and friends abroad. It never let me down. I also used it to watch TV including the programs on BBC Iplayer. Compared to my desk computer, I can feel the speed on my laptop was faster and the stability of the network was better. Second, it has nice overall design. Slim, Simple and sleek. You have three colors to choose . I chose the black one that matches from outside to inside. Review of Dell Inspiron 1545 Laptop

Nice laptop, FAB extended warranty!

Advantages: Good specs, fast, wonderful extended warranties
Disadvantages: Feels a bit flimsy, no indicator lights showing wifi connection, etc.

...This is really more a review of Dell's warranty than of the laptop itself, but as there was no section for such a thing I thought I'd combine the two. The laptop: It's a good little machine with pretty good specs for its price. You can already get more for your money than when we bought it just a few months ago, so check the current offers (make sure to look around the Web site, as I found by clicking on various offers I got the same machine for less) You can also now get a free upgrade to Windows 7 when that comes out later this year. It's fast, cute, and does everything we need. You can get it in a variety of colors, either for free if there is an offer on or for about 30 quid otherwise. Black is free whether an offer is on or not. Also, some have said it's not good for gaming -- that is probably only true if you are a hardcore gamer...

Dell Inspiron 1545 - good entry level laptop

Advantages: Cheap, good brand, lots of features,
Disadvantages: Probably not powerful enough for games, bottom of the market now

...The Dell Inspiron 1545 is an easy to use entry level laptop. Unlike two years ago when I bought my previous laptop, you can now get a number of Dell computers (of which this is one) direct from high street retailers. This is good if you want it in a rush and want a nearby place to handle any issues, but has the disadvantage that you can't customise your laptop to your own requirements to the same extent that you can if you buy it direct from Dell (which takes several weeks). Because Dell are so good at allowing customisation, you need to be very careful when you buy that you actually get the one you need - they are not all the same, so you can't just go into a shop and say "Give me your Inspiron 1545" - you need to be sure that it e.g. has a suitable processor, enough memory and a big enough hard drive for your needs. The dell inspiron laptop is it a good buy!

Advantages: The look of the dell inspiron laptop seems more classy then other notepads. It is simplistic.
Disadvantages: Maybe Dell Have gone too simplistic with this model as the features are nothing to rave about

...The Dell inspiron laptop has an attractive classy look, it has a simplistic stream-line look. When I take it out its case I feel good about it because its not a big bulky embarassing computer thing. However, if your one for keeping everything clean and tidy and no smudges anywhere, then maybe you might be irritated by this laptop. With its glossy look smudges, smears and fingerprints stand out like a sore thumb. You feel like your constantly wiping it. You also have to watch what you wipe the laptop with as it is quite easy to scratch. A better idea for Dell would be to provide a cloth to clean it with, one they know wont damage your laptop. It would be a real bummer to scratch it while cleaning it. I also decided to get the colour black because there wasnt a lot of colours to choose from which I found quite dissapointing as...

another great laptop from fujitsu

Advantages: design and very qucik

...This is yet another great laptop made by fujitsu siemens. Its basically great for having around the house, and mainly for keeping on a desk most of the time. In fact id describe this as a replacement desktop, it will run just as fast as one and is so much smaller so why not get one instead of a huge desktop pc. This particular ones the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3505 Edition, which is another spin off of the designs of the amilo’s. however this one does look a lot different to all the other amilos out there and is one of my favourite designs Fujitsu have done. Its combination of the colours black and silver/grey make this laptop look a lot more stylish and cooler than if it was all in just one colour. My favourite feature of this use of colour is how the grey keyboard stands out around the black bottom of the laptop...

Advantages: A fast compact laptop with a great flat screen
Disadvantages: Can get worryingly hot and the fan is a bit noisy

...A good, quick laptop that is compact and light to carry. It looks the part, clean lines and easy to use touchpad. The 2G of RAM also makes this an economical option, but there is no problem with the quality of the product given it's low price. The laptop does get quite warm after prolonged use, so I tend to ensure that it is switched off overnight, or not left for long periods. My techno-dunce of a partner and 7 year old son are happy to use the laptop with ease. The wireless fuction is excellent for use anywhere in the house with the wireless broadband capabilty.
