GREAT Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110

Advantages: cheap, easy to use ,all your internet need, good dvd rom/cd-rw
Disadvantages: quite slow on start up

...Ive had this laptop now for about a year and i havent had anything wrong with it but to be honest it isnt the best laptop in the world as it is abit slow when loading up and it could do with a bigger hard drive as it only has a 20gb. but if you only want a laptop to go the internet ,read your e-mails and to watch and burn dvds i would highly recommend it to anyone and as it is a bit old you can get one for around £149.99 which is realy cheap for a laptop which to be honest isnt that bad! and im sure if you have a look on ebay you could get one fo around £70 which would be a bargin! so if you are looking for a laptop which is cheap and does all the your internet , email and media needs you need to get yourself a Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110....

Fujitsu lifebook E series

Advantages: quick nice design
Disadvantages: keyboard

...The Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook notebook is a nice looking and fast computer. The screen of this notebook is very large and is controlled by the special function keys. You have the possibility to use 2 pcmcia cards to use scsi equipment or to use a modem. The last notebook I had was a Siemens, but that was a less user friendly machine. The E-series notebook can be equipped with a 4, 6 or 9 GB harddisk. One of the disadvatages of the lifebook is it's keyboard. The keys are not allways very logically situated. The insert and delete keys are for instance situated at the top of the keyboard. So correcting wronly typed words causes you to move your right hand out of the type area. Especially for quick-typing users this is time consuming....

The lifebook S7210 CAM

Advantages: very portable
Disadvantages: quite expensive

...Fujitsu siemens have always been a bit of an underdog in the laptop market, there laptops are thought to be not as good quality of some other leading brands, and people tend to think that there cheap prices reflect the quality. This just isn’t the case at all. Although they do make some really cheap basic laptops, they are now starting to branch out into the more professional laptop market, making portable and fast business laptops as well. The laptop is a combination of three main colours which makes it look a lot more modern than some of its predecessors and gives it a cool edge over its rivals. A business mans laptop that looks cool instead of boring seemed to be something acers travel mates just weren’t designed to be and I don’t think acer could ever figure out how to get this balance, fujitsu however have...

A Lifebook to make Life Easier

Advantages: Really small and easy to transport
Disadvantages: Gets a little hot plus finding a smaller enough case not easy!

...My husband bought this laptop to replace our large and ageing Toshiba laptop - without telling me I might add, but I am so pleased with it that I forgive him easily! For the technically minded (which I am not very) the following are the specs: Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook T4120 Intel T2400 @ 1.83Ghz Core Duo 512mb Memory 12.1" LCD Display CD/DVD Re-writer Running Windows XP Pro Tablet PC Version The main selling point for us (OK well for him) was the compact size and relatively light weight. The machine is fast and silent but does get rather hot if used for long periods - which means I need to get a lap tray for my husband's knees! Battery life (in the real world) is an acceptable 2 hours or so. Now - what makes this laptop different from others on the market is that the screen rotates and folds down over the keyboard...

Nice compact machine if speed not essential

Advantages: Light. Easy to manage. Good build quality. Good design
Disadvantages: Low specifications by today's standards. Not much battery life on wireless

.... The laptop will then be SILENT (as opposed to quiet) and I hope to increase battery life. Solid State Disks are the future for laptops I believe. Except for those who require massive storage. But I'd question the point of this on something that can be dropped, stolen or left behind somewhere. I could not calibrate the touch screen. The Fujitsu utility is not working as expected, so I cannot use the pointer. No glide-pad to control the pointer, and the nub-style mouse controller is not to everyone's taste. The integrated graphics date back ten years, and you can run old games like Doom ok on it. I am unsure if the NeoMagic VGA port supports 'TV Out', so I don't know if I will succeed in linking it to a modern Philips LCD TV. A VGA->3 component cable produced a scrambled mess. I'll try a 5 connection cable with H/V. If it is possible, then...

Samsung PS50B451

Advantages: Brillaint TV
Disadvantages: Hard to get used to

...One of the TVs in my house has just been replaced, we was lucky enough to get a deal on the Samsung PS50b451 instead of it costing around the £700 asking price a friend of ours used her staff discount and along with some vouchers, the TV cost us around £350 which is brilliant for what it is. bit of a bargain actually. I thought I would review it to see if it is actually worth the £700 asking price to those who aren?t as lucky as us to have a friend who works in a shop that sells them. Why choose this one? The reason that we choose this particular TV is that we wanted one in the 50 inch size range to replace the old one, and when we had a look at the range available we found that this one was not only the cheapest for what it is, but also we found that this one was the better looking of the three we narrowed our choice down to...

Fujitsu T4215

Advantages: Reliable, good for work
Disadvantages: Cannot play high end games

...As always, a computer is supposed to be chosen by its owner to cater to his or her needs. In this case, the Fujitsu Tablet T4215 is catered towards work and is incapable of playing high end games. It has the tablet function, useful for taking notes (i use this a lot, mostly to doodle :D) and the keyboard at a favourable layout, meaning that all the keys are within reach and easy to press, you do not have to over stretch. The screen is smaller than laptops of other models or brands, but it is sufficient if all you are going to do is write reports and surf the net. However, I find that the tablet screen scratches easily after you use the tablet pen on it for a while, so it is best to buy a screen protector. Other than that (and the fact that after a while it gains a lot of scratches, probably my fault), it is a good notebook...

a truely portable laptop

Advantages: portability
Disadvantages: price tag

...I honestly cant pick any faults with this laptop at all, well except from the extremely high price tag, but if you’ve got the money to spend then what a machine to spend it on. This Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S6410 is a quite new type of laptop from the fujitsu siemens brand. These new laptops are called lifebook, and are especially designed for portability and super quick running speeds. The design of this laptop is fantastic, its combination of three main colours makes it look a lot more modern than some of its predecessors and gives it a cool edge over its rivals. A business mans laptop that looks cool instead of boring seemed to be something acers travel mates just weren’t designed to be and I don’t think acer could ever figure out how to get this balance, fujitsu however have, and it really shows.
