Scaleo 600 P4 2.53

Advantages: Brilliant easy to use and you do get the windows xp disk
Disadvantages: none really

...and within our budget. We purchased 2 FS P4 computers with 80 GB drives 2.53 CPU's and ATI graphic cards for £998 all in but without any other warranty. That was in 2003. I am now using this same FS P4 computer to write this reveiw. The scaleo in that time has been brilliant and proved 100% reliable. The back-up disks you get with FS computers (Still to this day) are the only company as far I know who still give the Windows XP disk and a driver disk......None of this partition stuff on the hard drive. which is good and when you think about it if you have windows on the hard drive as a partition and the drive goes(even when new and it does happen) you are in a world of hurt. Fujitsu computers for us have been brilliant and as has been said already, when the warranty is up, you can upgrade them easy with plenty of room and they use...

...I first got the Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P computer around one and a half years ago. At the time the computer was vary good and suitable for our needs, however since then technology has moved on somewhat. EASE OF SETUP I was not the person to set up this computer however the family member who had set it up commented that it was the hardest computer to set up that he had ever encountered. I have recently tried to restore the computer to it's factory setting however was unable to do so as the manual has no information on how to do so. All in all a very difficult computer to restore, however I have reason to believe that the eprson who set it up, who was not very good with computers used the operating system disk to install the operating system, despite it being preloaded, which needless to say makes thngs alot more difficult...

My little grey box...

Advantages: Reliable, Smart looking, Expandable, Comfortable.
Disadvantages: Runs Slightly hot, Graphics could use a little Ooomph....

...Specs of my model :- P4 3.2Ghz (with HT) / 800Mhz Bus 512Mb RAM 250Gb Hard Drive ATI Radeon 9600XT (VIVO-Model) Multi-format Media Card Reader (instead of floppy drive). 17" TFT Flatpanel monitor Starting off... The Scaleo arrived well packaged, there was little chance of it being damaged in transport. After I had unpacked I glanced through the quick-start guide. Everything was clear and easy to understand. The PC was together and running in less than 15 mins, No problems. The Base unit of the Scaleo T is smart affair for a standard case, the 'bloo' lights are a nice touch, BUT the case although a familiar size from the front is longer from front to back than most standard cases as a result it protrudes slightly from my desk, but i can live with that. The Unit comes complete with DVD, and DVD +/- RW, these work well...
