Fujitsu Scenic PC's
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Myrica Series by  mattboxsey

Advantages: Very small footprint / Ideal for limited space
Disadvantages: Only 3 PCI Slots and 1 Eisa (Shared)

...Whilst recently updating Workstations on my LAN we recently have purchased several Fujitsu Scenic PC's. These machines have proven very reliable and efficient for the money that we have spent upon the units (£420.00 + VAT each) Considering that these machines are running PIII550 processors with 64Mb memory and a 10Gb hardrive as standard they can handle most basic office aapplications required in a general office enviroment. The unit comes with Windows 98SE pre-installed as standard, soundcard, keyboard and mouse. The only disadvantage that we have discovered with these machines is that they only have 3 x PCI slots and 1 x EISA slot making expandability a little probelamatic for certain hardware requirements, but overall for general value for money and reliability I would recommend this machine as excellent value for money... E600 Scenic
Review of Fujitsu Siemens SCENIC E600 - P4 2.8 GHz by  1988mike1988

Advantages: Very fast and reliable
Disadvantages: 40GB of memory

...Scenic e600 is OK for gaming but would be excellent for business. Its fast and reliable what more do you need. I did a nice upgrade to make it handle vista... i strongly recommend not putting vista on it due to it will not recognise the graphics driver and you need to use system graphics which is horrible. Now it just serves as a work computer. The amazing 2.6Ghz which is has is the best feature of this desktop computer. Been serving me well for over 3 years i think and has never broken down... Its very reliable. The 512Mb ram it comes with... get rid of it. Put about 4GB of ram in there and you got the perfect computer. Tried putting a Geforce 8800 card into.... did not fit so dont try and stick something big into it because it wont fit. Can be very silent which is a lovely aspect of it, doesnt buzzzzzzz to much. Can... Read review

My New Baby - UPDATED
Review of Fujitsu Siemens SCENIC xSi - PIII 600 MHz by  the_mad_cabbie

Advantages: See opinion
Disadvantages: See opinion

...with a brand spanking new Fujitsu Siemens Scenic eD computer in the boot of her car. I immediately suspected that the old credit card had taken a severe bashing, but she then informed me that she had been GIVEN the PC for her own use by her employers. (She is currently studying for the ECDL examinations) ~ ~ This new machine is an absolute cracker. The basics first. It came with a 20Gb hard drive, an Intel Pentium Three 933Mhz processor, and 128 Mb of Ram. Also included were a nice big 17-inch monitor, a floppy drive, and a 48 speed CD Rom. It isn't a tower system, which I like, and the monitor sits on top, making the whole package very neat and tidy. The keyboard is also Euro compatible, which is important here in Ireland as we change over to the Euro next January. About the only thing that was missing was a modem, but that was very... FUJITSU CONQUERS THE SOUND BARRIER!!!
Review of Fujitsu Siemens by  chizster

Advantages: Nifty pair of speakers; chic design; blends in well with cream-coloured systems
Disadvantages: incapable of working well at higher volumes; a tad too big

...Fujitsu Siemens is a company known worldwide, renowned for its latest technological inventions and new approaches to hot gadgets. Fujitsu Siemens Computer supply a good, sturdy range of computer accessories such as RAM, disk drives, monitors and even whole computer systems. Speakers are no exception to this rule. When I first bought my computer, brand new as it was, I was pleased to see that it had a nice pair of speakers counted in it. Although the size of the speakers was, and still is quite extortionate in proportion to other speakers on the market, they have a sleek, attractive design. The base of the speakers is cut at a rather odd angle, making the speakers ‘lay back’ when placed properly onto a flat surface. In my opinion, this style is very much up-to-the-minute even by today’s standards and the tasteful design of the speakers... Read review

another great laptop from fujitsu
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3505 Edition - Core 2 Duo T5300 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  techno_man_37

Advantages: design and very qucik
Disadvantages: no webcam on there

...This is yet another great laptop made by fujitsu siemens. Its basically great for having around the house, and mainly for keeping on a desk most of the time. In fact id describe this as a replacement desktop, it will run just as fast as one and is so much smaller so why not get one instead of a huge desktop pc. This particular ones the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3505 Edition, which is another spin off of the designs of the amilo’s. however this one does look a lot different to all the other amilos out there and is one of my favourite designs Fujitsu have done. Its combination of the colours black and silver/grey make this laptop look a lot more stylish and cooler than if it was all in just one colour. My favourite feature of this use of colour is how the grey keyboard stands out around the black bottom of the laptop... Read review

Bad service and product on Fujitsu Amilo D1840
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO D 1840 - P4 3.2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  stnzx

Advantages: the price
Disadvantages: everything else

...ended, my HD gave an terminal error, It broke down. (12months and 2 days). I Had to replace that (170 euro's). Now in the 14 month of me owning a amilo d1840 my adapter has exploded, and because it's an 20v 8A 4 pins adapter (which is unreplacable by an generic adapter) I have to wait for 2 weeks for an new adapter which costs me 120 euro's. This is probably the worst laptop I have ever owned! THis product is a shame for a company like Fujitsu. No reasonable support from fujitsu allthough they knew this notebook had these problems! In my comprehension this is no service, or good publicity for fujitsu, SO fujitsu, what are you people going to do about this! I could use some support for spending 2500 euro on your faulty product!!!... Read review

Fujitsu Myrica Pentium 166MMX - Old but still good
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Myrica Series by  iamdriver

Advantages: Upgradeability, accessability, standard components
Disadvantages: Although helpful, the support and maintenance could be better, in particular the engineers attending need to be more considerate on the stressing of cables I think, and need to not simply resort to reinstalling windows as the catch all solution

...I originally bought this machine over 3 years ago now, and although I initially had some concerns over the sound card quality, and the usual Windows installation problems. I did manage to get reasonable support from the Fujitsu ICL helpdesk. I eventually managed to get the sound card replaced, even though there seemed to be some question as to whether the card was in fact faulty. On a particular piece of software the quality of the sound was unbearable, and although it did seem to improve after the new sound card, it did not become totally improved. One of the main advantages of buying a relatively expensive machine like the Fujitsu, has been in the realive ease of upgrading it. Even things like adding Hard Drives are all taken care of with the cables and connectors all being provided to make this reasonably painless. On other machines... Read review

A stalwart little friend
Review of Fujitsu Siemens SCENIC xSi - PIII 600 MHz by  Manx

Advantages: Lightweight, robust, goodprice.
Disadvantages: None noticed yet.

...I am well aware that at the speed computer science and releases zoom along at that a review of my Scenic 500 runs the risk of being a little out of date. However, this is the machine I use at work. I imagine there is every chance it is just the sort of personal computer which will turn up in offices for a good few years to come - even if it is just a case of these once new machines being filtered down through the staff as the bosses (and IT staff) get newer and better ones. I have no grumbles at all with my Scenic 500. As the name suggests it chugs happily along at 500 Mhz and has 128MB to play with - which, for it’s day - was awesome. I put my machine through a lot; taking the back off and trying to squeeze in cards and anything else I might find in the darkest shadows in the hardware cupboard and this computer has never even bent...
