Bad service and product on Fujitsu Amilo D1840
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO D 1840 - P4 3.2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by stnzx

Advantages: the price
Disadvantages: everything else

..., my HD gave an terminal error, It broke down. (12months and 2 days). I Had to replace that (170 euro's). Now in the 14 month of me owning a amilo d1840 my adapter has exploded, and because it's an 20v 8A 4 pins adapter (which is unreplacable by an generic adapter) I have to wait for 2 weeks for an new adapter which costs me 120 euro's. This is probably the worst laptop I have ever owned! THis product is a shame for a company like Fujitsu. No reasonable support from fujitsu allthough they knew this notebook had these problems! In my comprehension this is no service, or good publicity for fujitsu, SO fujitsu, what are you people going to do about this! I could use some support for spending 2500 euro on your faulty product!!!... Read review

A good laptop for its money
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO PRO V7010 - Celeron D 325 2.53 GHz - 15.1" TFT by SMRobinsonHudson

Advantages: More than adequate for the average person
Disadvantages: Not big enough for a busy executive

...My Fujitsu Siemens V7010 was purchased approx 3 1/2 years ago by my husband for me to use. He at that time already had his own laptop and was fed up of me using it so decided I needed one of my own. I like taking photographs and the added advantage of a slot for your Secure Digital Cards to be able to download them quickly without extra hardware was good. The modem is in-built and came with a selection of international adapters for using with the modem. There are fans to keep the hard drive cool and these are only run noisy if there is dust or dirt clogging them. I have used it to play DVD's and they play on here even if they won't run properly on our normal dvd players. The graphics on them are of a very good standard. In the last couple of months the TFT screen has broken. This is because my husband placed his laptop open... Read review

Experience Of Support
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO M-6300 - C 1.2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by mattboxsey

Advantages: Confusing call qualification / Information repeated several times
Disadvantages: Once the call had been logged and agreed the repair was turned around very quickly

...After recently having a problem with A Fujitsu laptop which was still in warranty I recently contacted Fujistu to arrange to have the machine looked at. The problem with the machine appeared to be that the cable connecting the screen had fractured and needed replacing. After navigating the Support call system and speaking to several people regarding this fault we appeared to travel full circle and go back to the beginning explaining the fault and symptoms. Fujitsu seem to have a good support infrastructure and policy in place which just needs some fine tuning. They need to ensure that all information is relayed as required, and to appreciate that the users placing the call have different levels of experience. (Being a support specialist, you resent being told that the fault is user error and to check the obvious even though you have... Read review

The V7010 - Not as a good as it seems...
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO PRO V7010 - Celeron D 325 2.53 GHz - 15.1" TFT by mattyprice4004

Advantages: Cheap, good speakers and ATI graphics chipset, Runs cool
Disadvantages: Only runs cool because of HUGE fans so noisy, Graphics are actually awful, Bad keyboard

...Most people looking for a laptop will have an idea that the speed of a machine in MHz or GHz will have a direct impact on performance. True, but if you take this to the extreme like a lot of people and base your buying choice on ourely speed, you may fall into the V7010s trap. The Celeron D CPU in this laptop runs at a smooth 2.53GHz, which will certainly appeal to a lot of people on paper. But be in for a surprise when you power the machine on for the first time.... To me the Fujitsu felt slower than my Compaq Armada M700 running at 1GHz with only 128MB of RAM, although both of them ran XP Home Edition. The speed is only the first shortcoming of the V7010, as you will find out shortly. Everything looks bright and rosy on paper - 40GB 'Fast' IDE Hard Disk, ATI IGP 9000 Graphics, Celeron D 2.53GHz CPU... but when you try and use... Read review

Ideal for both office and home
Review of Fujitsu Siemens SCALEO P - P4 540 3.2 GHz by craigers1401

Advantages: Nice to look at, Easy to set-up and reliable
Disadvantages: some components installed are only standard

...The Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P desktop computer is a great all around machine for all types of user. It is now available in most high street stores and can be picked up for around the average high street price. Design The design of this computer is great. It is a mini stand up grey tower with a darker grey face at the front. It measures 20cm X 43.5cm X 37.3cm The system looks sleek and modern with neon lights shining from the bottom and around the power button just off the bottom. It is also quite deep with the space to install extra drives and storage mediums, which would be great for the possibility of a future upgrade. Processor Almost all of the Scaleo P range provide the user with an Intel P4 processor with integrated HT technology creating faster speeds when trying to multitask. RAM The Scaleo P comes with 512mb of DDR Ram... Read review

fujitsu siemens d 1845
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO D 1845 - Mobile Pentium 4 538 3.2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by mrssittingduck

Advantages: great graphics, films come out amazing
Disadvantages: not very strong , do not face up to every day wear and tare..

...i had this notebook as replacement for a damaged computer, it was brought brand new from the shop and i regret the moment i ever clapped eyes on it, in a lot of the fujitsu laptops they all appear to get cracks on the top right hand corner of the screen and then progress to get one on the left also.. i had the computer for 2 weeks before the first crack became apparent, i just thought it was a mark and tried to clean it off with special wipes for the computer , then i realised it was a crack, it got worse and worse and now has a 1 mil gap between each bit of plastic.... around where the charger whent then progressed to small crack to big then snapped off, and the top of the computer got cracks in it too which are proceeding to spread as we speak..... the inside of the computer may be good but the outside is really cheaply made... Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pi 1536
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pi 1536 - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by GerlofL

Advantages: Still works like a sunshine after 8 hours ( or more ) of heavy use.
Disadvantages: after 18 months the battery can only supply me with 27 minutes of power.

...Well, I bought this laptop in August 2006 for school. I noticed that except for the company delivery system there was not really anything wrong with this laptop. Yes, some people experience trouble with this laptop, but that is usually because they asume something. This laptop is amazing, as long as you don´t asume anything, the driver system is not exactly logical, but that can be easily solved by researching a little bit. I had problems with the screen twice ( both times my own fault ) And it got fixxed really quickly, so for the service, or the people they choose to give service in theire place, they deserve a 10/10. The speed is amazing, even after enslaving it with a memory draining game, and after that booting a 3d graphics program, it still works like a sunshine. However, I decided to use XP on this laptop, which is truely... Read review

When I fell in the Technology Trap......
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO D-7830 - P4 2.66 GHz - 15" TFT by greatmum1

Advantages: good memory and speed
Disadvantages: heavy, noisy and does not work!

...that Fujitsu have a good reputation, and the product was good value for money. I paid £899+ £349 for 5 years extended warranty. They agreed to do an interest free financing for a fixed period. At first sight , I was impressed with my Laptop. My friend told me it looked like an expensive Laptop! What more could you ask for! It had a 3.04 GHz Pentium processor and a large 40GB HardDrive and 512RAM, 15 in TFT display. The keyboard and mouse was reasonably easy to use. There were 5 USB ports, I did not know what to plug in, in so many of them! It had a combined CD/DVD -RW drive. That was a lot of features, more than I could handle! When I started using it I was disappointed with the bare minimum of software. The list appeared quite long in the store, but most of them had no use ! I wanted basic features as Microsoft Office to do presentations... Read review

Review of Fujitsu Siemens SCALEO P - P4 540 3.2 GHz by DC-DanielColeflax

Advantages: graphics, works most of the time
Disadvantages: painfully slow, prone to random freezing

...I first got the Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P computer around one and a half years ago. At the time the computer was vary good and suitable for our needs, however since then technology has moved on somewhat. EASE OF SETUP I was not the person to set up this computer however the family member who had set it up commented that it was the hardest computer to set up that he had ever encountered. I have recently tried to restore the computer to it's factory setting however was unable to do so as the manual has no information on how to do so. All in all a very difficult computer to restore, however I have reason to believe that the eprson who set it up, who was not very good with computers used the operating system disk to install the operating system, despite it being preloaded, which needless to say makes thngs alot more difficult. OPERATING... Read review

fabulous laptop
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi2515 by techno_man_37

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: none

...This Fujitsu Siemens laptop is yet another one from the amilo range. This Amilo Pi2515 model has great design and great build quality as well as being reasonably priced. The design of this laptop is great, I personally think it’s the best amilo laptop Fujitsu Siemens have made so far, and I think it will shape how they design other laptops in the future because it really is good looking. What I like to see in laptops is more than one colour tone, this one is no exception to that fine rule, as it combines black and silver in its outer case, which makes it look a lot cooler and sleeker than it would if it was all just one colour. This laptop runs very fast, it can handle the most demanding programs and software as well as the newest games too. This is because of its great 2 gb of installed ram in the laptop. This laptop also has... Read review
