...My Fujitsu Siemens V7010 was purchased approx 3 1/2 years ago by my husband for me to use. He at that time already had his own laptop and was fed up of me using it so decided I needed one of my own. I like taking photographs and the added advantage of a slot for your Secure Digital Cards to be able to download them quickly without extra hardware was good. The modem is in-built and came with a selection of international adapters for using with the modem. There are fans to keep the hard drive cool and these are only run noisy if there is dust or dirt clogging them. I have used it to play DVD's and they play on here even if they won't run properly on our normal dvd players. The graphics on them are of a very good standard. ...Most people looking for a laptop will have an idea that the speed of a machine in MHz or GHz will have a direct impact on performance. True, but if you take this to the extreme like a lot of people and base your buying choice on ourely speed, you may fall into the V7010s trap. The Celeron D CPU in this laptop runs at a smooth 2.53GHz, which will certainly appeal to a lot of people on paper. But be in for a surprise when you power the machine on for the first time.... To me the Fujitsu felt slower than my Compaq Armada M700 running at 1GHz with only 128MB of RAM, although both of them ran XP Home Edition. The speed is only the first shortcoming of the V7010, as you will find out shortly. ...Fujitsu runs under the siemens brand name. it's a brand that has been around for ages, mainly making TV, DVD players and other electrical goods. Now you've probably all heard about siemens but not really about fujitsu and that's what could put some people off getting there laptops by thinking there a new brand and therefore not reliable. However, recently they have been making more laptops, all of which I think are very good, and its only just now that people are starting to respect them as a good laptop manufacturer too, and are now up to the likes of Acer and sony in the laptop business, however there still nowhere near as well recognised as dell are. Advantages: Confusing call qualification / Information repeated several times
Disadvantages: Once the call had been logged and agreed the repair was turned around very quickly

...After recently having a problem with A Fujitsu laptop which was still in warranty I recently contacted Fujistu to arrange to have the machine looked at. The problem with the machine appeared to be that the cable connecting the screen had fractured and needed replacing. After navigating the Support call system and speaking to several people regarding this fault we appeared to travel full circle and go back to the beginning explaining the fault and symptoms. Fujitsu seem to have a good support infrastructure and policy in place which just needs some fine tuning. They need to ensure that all information is relayed as required, and to appreciate that the users placing the call have different levels of experience. (Being a support specialist, you resent being told that the fault is user error and to check the obvious even though you have... Read review

...This is yet another great laptop made by fujitsu siemens. Its basically great for having around the house, and mainly for keeping on a desk most of the time. In fact id describe this as a replacement desktop, it will run just as fast as one and is so much smaller so why not get one instead of a huge desktop pc. This particular ones the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3505 Edition, which is another spin off of the designs of the amilo’s. however this one does look a lot different to all the other amilos out there and is one of my favourite designs Fujitsu have done. Its combination of the colours black and silver/grey make this laptop look a lot more stylish and cooler than if it was all in just one colour. ...I really love this laptop, previously siemens haven't really made good computers or laptops but they are now starting to come out with really good products from their Fujitsu ranges. This is a amilo pro V3515, its looks stylish and is quite compact too. It features Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 GHz processor which runs the 1gb of installed ram like a dream. Also if you use demanding programs and need more ram then this can be upgraded to a maximum of 2gb. This however if quite dear to do and could cost around £50. This laptop has a great 120 GB hard drive to store all your data on, also it runs at 5400 rpm which is rather quick. A criticism to fujitsu would be that this laptop doesn't have a card reader built into it, this is something a lot of people need so i was disappointed to see it didn't contain one. ..., my HD gave an terminal error, It broke down. (12months and 2 days). I Had to replace that (170 euro's). Now in the 14 month of me owning a amilo d1840 my adapter has exploded, and because it's an 20v 8A 4 pins adapter (which is unreplacable by an generic adapter) I have to wait for 2 weeks for an new adapter which costs me 120 euro's. This is probably the worst laptop I have ever owned! THis product is a shame for a company like Fujitsu. No reasonable support from fujitsu allthough they knew this notebook had these problems! In my comprehension this is no service, or good publicity for fujitsu, SO fujitsu, what are you people going to do about this! I could use some support for spending 2500 euro on your faulty product!!!... Read review

.... or maybe in the back gardens, and conecting to wirless networks through this cimputer couldnt be mre simpler. This laptop is not all that great for gaming and multimedia as it only comes with 64mb of graphics which is a real down side. is fine to view HD pictures on. the laptop comes with a 15.4 inch widescreen display which isnt all that bright, fujitsu should have improved the screen quality here! the general look of the laptop isnt all that bas, although the silver scratches very easily, which is a very dowside. overall i would reconment this laptop for persons only looking to use it for personal and everynow and then use, i wouldnt recoment it to perople who are into gaming or heavy computer users.... Advantages: Brilliant easy to use and you do get the windows xp disk

...and within our budget. We purchased 2 FS P4 computers with 80 GB drives 2.53 CPU's and ATI graphic cards for £998 all in but without any other warranty. That was in 2003. I am now using this same FS P4 computer to write this reveiw. The scaleo in that time has been brilliant and proved 100% reliable. The back-up disks you get with FS computers (Still to this day) are the only company as far I know who still give the Windows XP disk and a driver disk......None of this partition stuff on the hard drive. which is good and when you think about it if you have windows on the hard drive as a partition and the drive goes(even when new and it does happen) you are in a world of hurt. Fujitsu computers for us have been brilliant and as has been said already, when the warranty is up, you can upgrade them easy with plenty of room and they use good... Read review
