A good laptop for its money
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO PRO V7010 - Celeron D 325 2.53 GHz - 15.1" TFT by SMRobinsonHudson

Advantages: More than adequate for the average person
Disadvantages: Not big enough for a busy executive

...My Fujitsu Siemens V7010 was purchased approx 3 1/2 years ago by my husband for me to use. He at that time already had his own laptop and was fed up of me using it so decided I needed one of my own. I like taking photographs and the added advantage of a slot for your Secure Digital Cards to be able to download them quickly without extra hardware was good. The modem is in-built and came with a selection of international adapters for using with the modem. There are fans to keep the hard drive cool and these are only run noisy if there is dust or dirt clogging them. I have used it to play DVD's and they play on here even if they won't run properly on our normal dvd players. The graphics on them are of a very good standard. In the last couple of months the TFT screen has broken. This is because my husband placed his laptop open... Read review

Experience Of Support
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO M-6300 - C 1.2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by mattboxsey

Advantages: Confusing call qualification / Information repeated several times
Disadvantages: Once the call had been logged and agreed the repair was turned around very quickly

...After recently having a problem with A Fujitsu laptop which was still in warranty I recently contacted Fujistu to arrange to have the machine looked at. The problem with the machine appeared to be that the cable connecting the screen had fractured and needed replacing. After navigating the Support call system and speaking to several people regarding this fault we appeared to travel full circle and go back to the beginning explaining the fault and symptoms. Fujitsu seem to have a good support infrastructure and policy in place which just needs some fine tuning. They need to ensure that all information is relayed as required, and to appreciate that the users placing the call have different levels of experience. (Being a support specialist, you resent being told that the fault is user error and to check the obvious even though you have... Read review

The V7010 - Not as a good as it seems...
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO PRO V7010 - Celeron D 325 2.53 GHz - 15.1" TFT by mattyprice4004

Advantages: Cheap, good speakers and ATI graphics chipset, Runs cool
Disadvantages: Only runs cool because of HUGE fans so noisy, Graphics are actually awful, Bad keyboard

...Most people looking for a laptop will have an idea that the speed of a machine in MHz or GHz will have a direct impact on performance. True, but if you take this to the extreme like a lot of people and base your buying choice on ourely speed, you may fall into the V7010s trap. The Celeron D CPU in this laptop runs at a smooth 2.53GHz, which will certainly appeal to a lot of people on paper. But be in for a surprise when you power the machine on for the first time.... To me the Fujitsu felt slower than my Compaq Armada M700 running at 1GHz with only 128MB of RAM, although both of them ran XP Home Edition. The speed is only the first shortcoming of the V7010, as you will find out shortly. Everything looks bright and rosy on paper - 40GB 'Fast' IDE Hard Disk, ATI IGP 9000 Graphics, Celeron D 2.53GHz CPU... but when you try and use... Read review

great, but pricey
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S7210 - Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by techno_man_37

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: price

...Fujitsu Siemens have been making laptops for a while now, when they started making them at first I was a little sceptical of how good they would be, because they had no other previous history in designing or making laptops. However Fujitsu Siemens are now in my top list of laptops I would buy or recommend to people and probably just come in third under dell and Sony vaio laptops. Fujitsu Siemens have made quite a few different models, there has been the amilo, the esprimo, and now, the life book. All of these 3 different models have loads of other laptops branching out to suit your needs and different price ranges so there really is a lot to choose from. The basic concept of the life book is a simple laptop that’s easy to carry around, without compromising on performance and that has great battery life to last you throughout all... Read review

this laptop is not as good as you might think
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110 - Pentium M 1.4 GHz - 15.1" TFT by oriental_mei

Advantages: very fast
Disadvantages: many

...This laptop looks very cute and smart. its very fast. it comes with windows XP which is very user friendly. as this laptop is so big and powerful and holds alot of files; it can run out of battery quite easily therefore you cannot take it places and use it for a long time. id say if you were just typing, the laptop would last probably an hour/ hour and half tops. i have just recharged it and its already down to 85% battery power after 10minutes!! it also comes with the biggest power adaptor ive seen for a while. its a big black thing that looks like a brick it is quite heavy and annoying to carry the both. the keys on the keyboard are programmed differently than they say to be on mine. " is @ and ' is ^. i havent changed it yet partly because it doesnt tell you how and partly because i hardly use it now. fujitsu seimens dont seem... Read review

Fujitsu lifebook E series
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook E360 - PII 333 MHz - 13.3" TFT by jthesing

Advantages: quick nice design
Disadvantages: keyboard

...The Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook notebook is a nice looking and fast computer. The screen of this notebook is very large and is controlled by the special function keys. You have the possibility to use 2 pcmcia cards to use scsi equipment or to use a modem. The last notebook I had was a Siemens, but that was a less user friendly machine. The E-series notebook can be equipped with a 4, 6 or 9 GB harddisk. One of the disadvatages of the lifebook is it's keyboard. The keys are not allways very logically situated. The insert and delete keys are for instance situated at the top of the keyboard. So correcting wronly typed words causes you to move your right hand out of the type area. Especially for quick-typing users this is time consuming.... Read review

Bad service and product on Fujitsu Amilo D1840
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO D 1840 - P4 3.2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by stnzx

Advantages: the price
Disadvantages: everything else

..., my HD gave an terminal error, It broke down. (12months and 2 days). I Had to replace that (170 euro's). Now in the 14 month of me owning a amilo d1840 my adapter has exploded, and because it's an 20v 8A 4 pins adapter (which is unreplacable by an generic adapter) I have to wait for 2 weeks for an new adapter which costs me 120 euro's. This is probably the worst laptop I have ever owned! THis product is a shame for a company like Fujitsu. No reasonable support from fujitsu allthough they knew this notebook had these problems! In my comprehension this is no service, or good publicity for fujitsu, SO fujitsu, what are you people going to do about this! I could use some support for spending 2500 euro on your faulty product!!!... Read review

fab laptop
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3515 Edition - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by techno_man_37

Advantages: great speeds
Disadvantages: not alot of extra features

...laptop looks really good, it's a combination of black and silvery white plastic body and this two tone colour makes it look really cool and modern. It features a Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 Ghz processor which runs the 1gb of ram very well, and you'll be surprised at quite how fast this is, maybe its just how fujitsu makes their laptops, but this with only 1gb of ram seems a lot faster than some of the other brands of laptop iv come across which also had 1gb of ram installed. Another good thing about this is that the 1gb of ram can be upgraded to 2gb, however this is quite pricy and will usually cost over £50. However if you do need more ram and a quicker laptop all round then this might be something to think about. This laptop contains what seems to be the bear minimum of hard drive space these days. It has 80 gb which is quite... Read review

another great laptop from fujitsu
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3505 Edition - Core 2 Duo T5300 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by techno_man_37

Advantages: design and very qucik
Disadvantages: no webcam on there

...This is yet another great laptop made by fujitsu siemens. Its basically great for having around the house, and mainly for keeping on a desk most of the time. In fact id describe this as a replacement desktop, it will run just as fast as one and is so much smaller so why not get one instead of a huge desktop pc. This particular ones the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3505 Edition, which is another spin off of the designs of the amilo’s. however this one does look a lot different to all the other amilos out there and is one of my favourite designs Fujitsu have done. Its combination of the colours black and silver/grey make this laptop look a lot more stylish and cooler than if it was all in just one colour. My favourite feature of this use of colour is how the grey keyboard stands out around the black bottom of the laptop, and also... Read review

amazing laptop!!
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook E8410 - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by techno_man_37

Advantages: everthing about it!
Disadvantages: price!

...This laptop really is in every shape and form a business mans ideal laptop. There really isn’t any downsides to this laptop at all, well except from the extremely high price tag, but if you’ve got the money to spend then what a machine to spend it on. This fujitsu lifebook E8410, is a quite new type of laptop from the fujitsu siemens brand. These new laptops are called lifebook, and are especially designed for portability and super quick running speeds. The design of this laptop is fantastic, its combination of three main colours makes it look a lot more modern than some of its predecessors and gives it a cool edge over its rivals. A business mans laptop that looks cool instead of boring seemed to be something acers travel mates just weren’t designed to be and I don’t think acer could ever figure out how to get... Read review
