GREAT Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110
Advantages: cheap, easy to use ,all your internet need, good dvd rom/cd-rw
Disadvantages: quite slow on start up
...Ive had this laptop now for about a year and i havent had anything wrong with it but to be honest it isnt the best laptop in the world as it is abit slow when loading up and it could do with a bigger hard drive as it only has a 20gb. but if you only want a laptop to go the internet ,read your e-mails and to watch and burn dvds i would highly recommend it to anyone and as it is a bit old you can get one for around £149.99 which is realy cheap for a laptop which to be honest isnt that bad! and im sure if you have a look on ebay you could get one fo around £70 which would be a bargin! so if you are looking for a laptop which is cheap and does all the your internet , email and media needs you need to get yourself a Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110....

The lifebook S7210 CAM
Advantages: very portable
Disadvantages: quite expensive
...space built in. I don’t know whether to class this as a downside as I know everyone wants the most they can get, but honestly do you really need more than 80 gb of hard drive? Well I certainly know I don’t and I guess most people don’t either, so this 80 gb should really be enough and not a downside to the laptop at all.
As it’s a portable laptop, it does have a smaller screen than most, its 14.1 inch screen is noticeably smaller if your used to a larger one, or a desktop screen however isn’t too small that it limits anything you would usually need to do on a computer.
Its very light weight as well, only 2.1 kg in fact. However that isn’t the best thing amount it, its battery life is an amazing 7 hours, which is certainly the most in a laptop iv ever tested before and I’m not sure there’s...

Fujitsu/Siemens Li2727
Advantages: Good specs, portable, cheap
Disadvantages: Bad customer service
...I recently went on a search for a good quality Laptop and found this one in Comet. It looked quite good and seemed to have everything I wanrted.
Processor is a Intel dual core !.73 Ghz
It boasts a good 2GB of DDR2 Ram
160 GB Hard drive
15.4 in Screen
DVD+/- RW drive
My opinion.
I came home with my Laptop and unpacked it all, went through the associated paperwork and set it up, as I already have a Desktop this was easy.
When you first start it prompts you to create Recovery disks, I started the software to do this and all seemed well until almost at the end of the first disk it came up with a message saying write error. I thought that maybe it was a bad disk and tried again, same outcome.
I phoned comet to ask for asssistance and was told to phone Fijitsu/ siemens, so I did I was told it was a software problem and they...

Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Xi 2528
Advantages: very fast, very cheap
Disadvantages: could look better
...the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also its Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 which is a pretty good processor makes this laptop run so fast. Another thing to note is that this processor runs at speeds of 2.1 Ghz which is pretty good however I have seen faster, but the 3gb of ram does compensate for this and its very easy to have a lot of programs open at one time without it slowing.
This laptop just doesn't stop disappointing us, and an example of this is its great screen.
Its TFT screen, measures 17 inches, this is great for watching movies on, watching video clips on and makes gaming so much better too. This screen is also active matrix, this is being used by so much more laptop manufacturers nowadays as it makes the screen lighter, therefore making the laptop lighter, is makes the image quality so much better than a normal TFT screen and it...

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT
Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs
Disadvantages: large size (price?)
...Apple mac-books, where to start...
ok, so to start,
it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are.
this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop.
The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop.
The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is...

Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S5582 Excellent Buy
Advantages: Light-weight, Robust, Fast by P3 standards, slim look, soft touch keyboard
Disadvantages: External Floppy Drive, Poor Speakers, PS2 port on Docking Bay only
....
The docking bay is very light and even with it connected, this laptop is still smaller and lighter than most full laptops. The docking bay has the floppy connection (which seems to have it's own sort of connector and not the usual USB), serial port, lpt prot, usb port, screen port, lan port and two PS2 ports. The actual machine without the docking bay has 2 USB ports (one on the side for mouse etc, and one on the back for modem, printer etc), sound ports (mic, speakers, line in), 56k modem, lan port, 1 PCMCIA port, screen port and infra red.
The speakers are a let down, but the sound card is excellent so if you use head phones or desktop speakers you won't be disappointed.
The DVD/CD Rom drive is reliable and fast, and to upgrade it is as simple as unplugging it.
The screen is lovely and although it may sound small, is actually the same...

Fujitsu lifebook E series
Advantages: quick nice design
Disadvantages: keyboard
...The Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook notebook is a nice looking and fast computer. The screen of this notebook is very large and is controlled by the special function keys. You have the possibility to use 2 pcmcia cards to use scsi equipment or to use a modem. The last notebook I had was a Siemens, but that was a less user friendly machine.
The E-series notebook can be equipped with a 4, 6 or 9 GB harddisk. One of the disadvatages of the lifebook is it's keyboard. The keys are not allways very logically situated. The insert and delete keys are for instance situated at the top of the keyboard. So correcting wronly typed words causes you to move your right hand out of the type area. Especially for quick-typing users this is time consuming....

Jujitsu Fujitsu
Advantages: Great features and design
Disadvantages: Battery life
...an average size which you would expect to see anywhere.
You have a 15.4 inch which is about standard for most laptops and nothing which is over the top.
The screen resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels which in my view could be better but it is overall a very good resolution to have for a computer.
There is 320 GB of memory on this computer. The memory is spread over 2 hard drivers and each with 160 GB attached to it. I think the amount you get in memory is very good and most laptops have half of this total.
There is a 2mb cache which again is very good most laptops have just 1mb cache and with it being 2mb cache means the computer runs better.
The processor itself is only 2 GHz and I have to admit I think it lets the computer down slightly. You have fantastic values for everything else but the overall processor sort of lets it down a bit...

fantastic laptop, for all tose travelers
Advantages: portability
Disadvantages: hard drive space and ram, (for some).
...Fujitsu is a company that operates under the well known Siemens brand. They are now making more laptops than ever and coming out with fantastic new models of laptops all the time.
This model, the lifebook was designed and made for al those people, who for whatever needs, want a good looking laptop which is very portable to take around with them. This laptop takes in all these demands and incorporates them into its specification and fabulous build quality.
It great to see a laptop that’s not only meant for business like people, but also looks great too. This is something that the acer travel mates just never managed to get right as they always designed their laptops with one colour scheme and boring design all the time.
This laptop however has a great look to it. It kind of looks quite cube like, which in this case is very...

Fujitsu T4215
Advantages: Reliable, good for work
Disadvantages: Cannot play high end games
...As always, a computer is supposed to be chosen by its owner to cater to his or her needs. In this case, the Fujitsu Tablet T4215 is catered towards work and is incapable of playing high end games. It has the tablet function, useful for taking notes (i use this a lot, mostly to doodle :D) and the keyboard at a favourable layout, meaning that all the keys are within reach and easy to press, you do not have to over stretch. The screen is smaller than laptops of other models or brands, but it is sufficient if all you are going to do is write reports and surf the net.
However, I find that the tablet screen scratches easily after you use the tablet pen on it for a while, so it is best to buy a screen protector. Other than that (and the fact that after a while it gains a lot of scratches, probably my fault), it is a good notebook...
