GREAT Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110

Advantages: cheap, easy to use ,all your internet need, good dvd rom/cd-rw
Disadvantages: quite slow on start up

...Ive had this laptop now for about a year and i havent had anything wrong with it but to be honest it isnt the best laptop in the world as it is abit slow when loading up and it could do with a bigger hard drive as it only has a 20gb. but if you only want a laptop to go the internet ,read your e-mails and to watch and burn dvds i would highly recommend it to anyone and as it is a bit old you can get one for around £149.99 which is realy cheap for a laptop which to be honest isnt that bad! and im sure if you have a look on ebay you could get one fo around £70 which would be a bargin! so if you are looking for a laptop which is cheap and does all the your internet , email and media needs you need to get yourself a Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110....

The lifebook S7210 CAM

Advantages: very portable
Disadvantages: quite expensive

The plastic section around the screen is black, and is also strong and sturdy, the body of the laptop is silver with a nice grey keypad that stands out from the laptop and the bottom of the laptop and sides of the laptop are also black, it really is a stunning looking laptop. One thing that lets this laptop down a bit is its ram size, its only 1gb, however it can be upgraded to a massive 4gb if you want and you can even buy this model in various ram sizes to start with. Despite it only having a gig, its still very quick, however I’m sure it would slow down pretty quick when all software is loaded and begins to take it toll on the laptop. Taking into account all its high spec features, you would expect it to have about 160 gb of hard drive, or at least 120. But this laptop however only has 80 gb of storage...

When you first start it prompts you to create Recovery disks, I started the software to do this and all seemed well until almost at the end of the first disk it came up with a message saying write error. ...The Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook notebook is a nice looking and fast computer. The screen of this notebook is very large and is controlled by the special function keys. You have the possibility to use 2 pcmcia cards to use scsi equipment or to use a modem. The last notebook I had was a Siemens, but that was a less user friendly machine. The E-series notebook can be equipped with a 4, 6 or 9 GB harddisk. One of the disadvatages of the lifebook is it's keyboard. The keys are not allways very logically situated. The insert and delete keys are for instance situated at the top of the keyboard. So correcting wronly typed words causes you to move your right hand out of the type area. Especially for quick-typing users this is time consuming....

...an average size which you would expect to see anywhere. You have a 15.4 inch which is about standard for most laptops and nothing which is over the top. The screen resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels which in my view could be better but it is overall a very good resolution to have for a computer. There is 320 GB of memory on this computer. The memory is spread over 2 hard drivers and each with 160 GB attached to it. I think the amount you get in memory is very good and most laptops have half of this total. There is a 2mb cache which again is very good most laptops have just 1mb cache and with it being 2mb cache means the computer runs better. The processor itself is only 2 GHz and I have to admit I think it lets the computer down slightly. You have fantastic values for everything else but the overall processor sort of lets it down a bit...

...As always, a computer is supposed to be chosen by its owner to cater to his or her needs. In this case, the Fujitsu Tablet T4215 is catered towards work and is incapable of playing high end games. It has the tablet function, useful for taking notes (i use this a lot, mostly to doodle :D) and the keyboard at a favourable layout, meaning that all the keys are within reach and easy to press, you do not have to over stretch. The screen is smaller than laptops of other models or brands, but it is sufficient if all you are going to do is write reports and surf the net. However, I find that the tablet screen scratches easily after you use the tablet pen on it for a while, so it is best to buy a screen protector. Other than that (and the fact that after a while it gains a lot of scratches, probably my fault), it is a good notebook...

Fun and funky Polo 1.4

Advantages: Great fun to drive, nippy and reliable

...The Polo 1.4 was the first car that I ever bought myself so will always be quite special in a weird kind of way! I traded in my old battered Fiesta that my mum and dad had bought me and purchased a VW 1.4 Polo Match special edition for around £10000. The car came with quite a few extras for the money including manual air conditioning and an electric sunroof (very nifty gadget on such a small car!) I am not too sure why the car had both a sunroof and air conditioning though as you only really needed one or the other! It also came with metallic paint and I chose the Silver colour which was great as it hardly shows up any dirt at all and comes up very nicely when it's polished. I owned the 3 door version and you did have to be careful with the front doors as they are very big and heavy and can sometimes blow away in heavy wind...

The disadvantage or weakness in this product is that it has a plastic holder for extra items on the top layer. The plastic looks a bit weak or not very durable.
