Fujitsu Scenic PC's
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Myrica Series by  mattboxsey

Advantages: Very small footprint / Ideal for limited space
Disadvantages: Only 3 PCI Slots and 1 Eisa (Shared)

...Whilst recently updating Workstations on my LAN we recently have purchased several Fujitsu Scenic PC's. These machines have proven very reliable and efficient for the money that we have spent upon the units (£420.00 + VAT each) Considering that these machines are running PIII550 processors with 64Mb memory and a 10Gb hardrive as standard they can handle most basic office aapplications required in a general office enviroment. The unit comes with Windows 98SE pre-installed as standard, soundcard, keyboard and mouse. The only disadvantage that we have discovered with these machines is that they only have 3 x PCI slots and 1 x EISA slot making expandability a little probelamatic for certain hardware requirements, but overall for general value for money and reliability I would recommend this machine as excellent value for money... A good value machine
Review of Fujitsu Siemens T Bird by  GarethAvery

Advantages: Good value, high spec
Disadvantages: Two faults, both fixed reasonably

...I bought my T Bird in November 1999 from Sainbury's and since then it has worked very well apart from two faults. The hard disk failed within a month (due to a bad batch apparently) and also within the warranty period the DVD drive stopped reading DVDs (but continued to work with CDs) On both occasions the service was completed reasonably and as these two products were not specifically Fujitsu I put them both down to 'another company' I would certainly buy from Fujitsu again and notice that the same model (but with faster processor and larger HD) is being sold through newspaper adverts by a company called Under a Grand. Have a look at: www.underagrand.co.uk... Read review

A reasonable pair of speakers
Review of Fujitsu Siemens by  richard_richard

Advantages: Clear sound quality
Disadvantages: Low output, lack of bottom end on sound

...These Fujitsu Siemens speakers came supplied with the Fujitsu Scenic W series of computers. We have a number of these computers at work and although these speakers aren't exactly the cutting edge of sonic technology, they aren’t too bad for a freebie! Specs The speakers have a maximum output of 8 watts. These doesn't sound like a lot, but it is perfectly adequate for most of the sounds made by our PCs at work! The speakers are 7" in height., 4" in depth and 3" in width, so they are fairly compact and don't take up too much room on the desk. On the front of the speaker unit is a grill to allow the sound to be pushed through. There is also a port at the top of each speaker unit, which presumably is some sort of bass horn and allows some bottom end to be produced. The colour is, surprise, surprise...beige! Inside the speakers I... Read review

Experience Of Support
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO M-6300 - C 1.2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by  mattboxsey

Advantages: Confusing call qualification / Information repeated several times
Disadvantages: Once the call had been logged and agreed the repair was turned around very quickly

...After recently having a problem with A Fujitsu laptop which was still in warranty I recently contacted Fujistu to arrange to have the machine looked at. The problem with the machine appeared to be that the cable connecting the screen had fractured and needed replacing. After navigating the Support call system and speaking to several people regarding this fault we appeared to travel full circle and go back to the beginning explaining the fault and symptoms. Fujitsu seem to have a good support infrastructure and policy in place which just needs some fine tuning. They need to ensure that all information is relayed as required, and to appreciate that the users placing the call have different levels of experience. (Being a support specialist, you resent being told that the fault is user error and to check the obvious even though you have... Read review

GREAT Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110 - Pentium M 1.4 GHz - 15.1" TFT by  tom_tom66

Advantages: cheap, easy to use ,all your internet need, good dvd rom/cd-rw
Disadvantages: quite slow on start up

...Ive had this laptop now for about a year and i havent had anything wrong with it but to be honest it isnt the best laptop in the world as it is abit slow when loading up and it could do with a bigger hard drive as it only has a 20gb. but if you only want a laptop to go the internet ,read your e-mails and to watch and burn dvds i would highly recommend it to anyone and as it is a bit old you can get one for around £149.99 which is realy cheap for a laptop which to be honest isnt that bad! and im sure if you have a look on ebay you could get one fo around £70 which would be a bargin! so if you are looking for a laptop which is cheap and does all the your internet , email and media needs you need to get yourself a Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110.... Good notebook terrible customer service
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook P7230 - Core Solo U1400 1.2 GHz - 10.6" TFT by  Bearxlover

Advantages: Good Notebook but needs 2G memory
Disadvantages: Terribel customer service see review

...Before you buy the Fujitsu likebook 7230 please read my experience. I bought the 7230 lifebook from Fujitsu direct a few weeks ago and had it configured for 1G of memory. I based this on their own user guide which says the machine has 1G of onboard memory under the keyboard which is not user accessible, and another slot on the back which is user accessible for another 1G. so i had planned to upgrage later when i found out how fast or slow it runs. turns out their online user guide is printed wrong and there is no slot under the keyboard and all the memory is in the user accessible slot on the back. So now if i want to upgrade i will have to buy a 2G chip and discard the 1G i have paid for instead of getting the 2G to start with. Which is what i would have done had i known from the start that the company changed the memory... Read review

Fujitsu Siemens the Nice PCs
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Myrica Series by  Degsy

Advantages: High quality, low cost.
Disadvantages: none at all

...Definitely the best value machines available at the moment, with out actually building one yourself. I run an internet cafe with 30 fujitsu machines. I have found them to be very reliable and also in looking at their recent offers they are of outstanding value. None of the other manufacturers seem to be able to match them for price on high spec PC's. I would never go to Tiny or Time or Gateway or PC World. Whats the point when you can go to www.underagrand.co.uk and view constantly updated offers on high specification Fujitsu PC's guarunteed cheaper and of a superior build quality, trust me I know!! Before getting into managing this internet cafe I used to work as a computer engineer for a public sector manufacturer, during that time I got to know which hardware, such as motherboards, hard drives, VGA cards etc..... were the real deal... Stylistic ST4110P - For the total mobile user
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic ST4110P - PIII-M 800 MHz - 10.4" TFT by  maxmidnight

Advantages: Lightweight, compact and flexible. Great user interface and robust. Great design feature to aid handling.
Disadvantages: Lacks the power of other tablets, has trouble launching multi application envronments

...Over the past few months, I have been evaluating and rolling out tablet PC's across my organisation within the Health industry. My evaluation has covered the HP Compaq TC1100, the Motion M1200, the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120, and the Toshiba Portégé 3500. What follows is a brief discussion of the Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic ST4110 which I hope will give users some guidance and prove informative. The Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120 was the first such device we trialed here at the Trust and it was certainly a fantastic baptism for both ourselves and the hardware. Vigorously tested and scrutinised by disgruntled employee's, under duress, it was quickly seen as a fantastic breakthrough in technological architecture and benefited users in almost every aspect of their working lives. It is the lightest of the Tablet PCs and gets the best battery life... Read review

Scenic Pro M6
Review of Fujitsu Siemens SCENIC xSi - PIII 600 MHz by  dominiclucas

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...Bought the machine a few years back, when it was changing design. It is a Pentium Pro 233, with 128Mb Ram, and "a few" hard disks. The machine has performed well, and the chassis is VERY robust when the panels are on, but a bit flimsy when the inspection covers are removed. Also, when you are changing boards, the slots are on the bottom, upside down, which may be OK for a desktop unit, but is a nightmare for a tower. The machine continues to perform well, I cold swap windows 98, SCO UNIX, and Linux from exchangeables, and all manage to work with all the Siemens supplied hardware.... Read review
