...quality components. This P4 still has the 2.53 Cpu but I have installed ATi 256 Meg Graphics, Creative 7.1 sound, 2x 160GB hard drives and 1GB momory. Only thing I did enhance was the cooling. And there was 3 80mm cut out already there...... I would recommend Fujitsu computers and if you can get a P4 scaleo model buy it. A lot of friends have now purchased Fujitsu computers on my recomendation and to date no problems. All in all the scaleo and Fujitsu are brillant packages.... Read review

Advantages: the price

..., my HD gave an terminal error, It broke down. (12months and 2 days). I Had to replace that (170 euro's). Now in the 14 month of me owning a amilo d1840 my adapter has exploded, and because it's an 20v 8A 4 pins adapter (which is unreplacable by an generic adapter) I have to wait for 2 weeks for an new adapter which costs me 120 euro's. This is probably the worst laptop I have ever owned! THis product is a shame for a company like Fujitsu. No reasonable support from fujitsu allthough they knew this notebook had these problems! In my comprehension this is no service, or good publicity for fujitsu, SO fujitsu, what are you people going to do about this! I could use some support for spending 2500 euro on your faulty product!!!... Read review

...Whilst recently updating Workstations on my LAN we recently have purchased several Fujitsu Scenic PC's. These machines have proven very reliable and efficient for the money that we have spent upon the units (£420.00 + VAT each) Considering that these machines are running PIII550 processors with 64Mb memory and a 10Gb hardrive as standard they can handle most basic office aapplications required in a general office enviroment. The unit comes with Windows 98SE pre-installed as standard, soundcard, keyboard and mouse. The only disadvantage that we have discovered with these machines is that they only have 3 x PCI slots and 1 x EISA slot making expandability a little probelamatic for certain hardware requirements, but overall for general value for money and reliability I would recommend this machine as excellent value for money... ...My Fujitsu Siemens V7010 was purchased approx 3 1/2 years ago by my husband for me to use. He at that time already had his own laptop and was fed up of me using it so decided I needed one of my own. I like taking photographs and the added advantage of a slot for your Secure Digital Cards to be able to download them quickly without extra hardware was good. The modem is in-built and came with a selection of international adapters for using with the modem. There are fans to keep the hard drive cool and these are only run noisy if there is dust or dirt clogging them. I have used it to play DVD's and they play on here even if they won't run properly on our normal dvd players. The graphics on them are of a very good standard. ...After recently having a problem with A Fujitsu laptop which was still in warranty I recently contacted Fujistu to arrange to have the machine looked at. The problem with the machine appeared to be that the cable connecting the screen had fractured and needed replacing. After navigating the Support call system and speaking to several people regarding this fault we appeared to travel full circle and go back to the beginning explaining the fault and symptoms. Fujitsu seem to have a good support infrastructure and policy in place which just needs some fine tuning. They need to ensure that all information is relayed as required, and to appreciate that the users placing the call have different levels of experience. (Being a support specialist, you resent being told that the fault is user error and to check the obvious even though you have... Read review

It has few extra features, it has a built in 3 in 1 card reader which is handy, but it’s a shame to not see a built in webcam, not only because it’s a great feature, but I think it would look good on this laptop too, so that’s a shame. Well this laptop defiantly is a great looking piece of equipment which also runs very quick too, and its also very cheap at £500. I think the main reason is because it’s a Fujitsu siemens and I think if this was labelled a dell, it would certainly be at least another £100 dearer. That being said it doesn’t make it any worse quality as dells are, in fact I do prefer a lot of Fujitsu laptops over dells, so just don’t let the name put you off, ever.... Read review

...Most people looking for a laptop will have an idea that the speed of a machine in MHz or GHz will have a direct impact on performance. True, but if you take this to the extreme like a lot of people and base your buying choice on ourely speed, you may fall into the V7010s trap. The Celeron D CPU in this laptop runs at a smooth 2.53GHz, which will certainly appeal to a lot of people on paper. But be in for a surprise when you power the machine on for the first time.... To me the Fujitsu felt slower than my Compaq Armada M700 running at 1GHz with only 128MB of RAM, although both of them ran XP Home Edition. The speed is only the first shortcoming of the V7010, as you will find out shortly.
