...Whilst recently updating Workstations on my LAN we recently have purchased several Fujitsu Scenic PC's. These machines have proven very reliable and efficient for the money that we have spent upon the units (£420.00 + VAT each) Considering that these machines are running PIII550 processors with 64Mb memory and a 10Gb hardrive as standard they can handle most basic office aapplications required in a general office enviroment. The unit comes with Windows 98SE pre-installed as standard, soundcard, keyboard and mouse. The only disadvantage that we have discovered with these machines is that they only have 3 x PCI slots and 1 x EISA slot making expandability a little probelamatic for certain hardware requirements, but overall for general value for money and reliability I would recommend this machine as excellent value for money... ...After recently having a problem with A Fujitsu laptop which was still in warranty I recently contacted Fujistu to arrange to have the machine looked at. The problem with the machine appeared to be that the cable connecting the screen had fractured and needed replacing. After navigating the Support call system and speaking to several people regarding this fault we appeared to travel full circle and go back to the beginning explaining the fault and symptoms. Fujitsu seem to have a good support infrastructure and policy in place which just needs some fine tuning. They need to ensure that all information is relayed as required, and to appreciate that the users placing the call have different levels of experience. ...Before you buy the Fujitsu likebook 7230 please read my experience. I bought the 7230 lifebook from Fujitsu direct a few weeks ago and had it configured for 1G of memory. I based this on their own user guide which says the machine has 1G of onboard memory under the keyboard which is not user accessible, and another slot on the back which is user accessible for another 1G. so i had planned to upgrage later when i found out how fast or slow it runs. turns out their online user guide is printed wrong and there is no slot under the keyboard and all the memory is in the user accessible slot on the back. So now if i want to upgrade i will have to buy a 2G chip and discard the 1G i have paid for instead of getting the 2G to start with. Which is what i would have done had i known from the start that the company changed the memory... Read review

...This Fujitsu computer was not that well know to us when we went looking for 2 computers. We had at the time tried to price up the components for a build and when we added the cost of Windows Xp x 2 it was a lot more, £300 more at the time, so we had to buy. The budget at the time was £1000 for 2 good computers with monitors,speakers,keybboard and mouse. Warranty would just be the normal 1 year unless we could get that included too. We had a look about and on the net but could not get the systems we were looking for. And with me fixing and being aware of the computer industry to a point we didn't want to go for a pc world own brand computer. We then got a call from someone we new in Comet who told us about these Brand new Fujitsu Scaleo 600 systems theat had to go because of a shop re-fit. They were at rock bottom prices... Read review

..., my HD gave an terminal error, It broke down. (12months and 2 days). I Had to replace that (170 euro's). Now in the 14 month of me owning a amilo d1840 my adapter has exploded, and because it's an 20v 8A 4 pins adapter (which is unreplacable by an generic adapter) I have to wait for 2 weeks for an new adapter which costs me 120 euro's. This is probably the worst laptop I have ever owned! THis product is a shame for a company like Fujitsu. No reasonable support from fujitsu allthough they knew this notebook had these problems! In my comprehension this is no service, or good publicity for fujitsu, SO fujitsu, what are you people going to do about this! I could use some support for spending 2500 euro on your faulty product!!!... Read review

...My Fujitsu Siemens V7010 was purchased approx 3 1/2 years ago by my husband for me to use. He at that time already had his own laptop and was fed up of me using it so decided I needed one of my own. I like taking photographs and the added advantage of a slot for your Secure Digital Cards to be able to download them quickly without extra hardware was good. The modem is in-built and came with a selection of international adapters for using with the modem. There are fans to keep the hard drive cool and these are only run noisy if there is dust or dirt clogging them. I have used it to play DVD's and they play on here even if they won't run properly on our normal dvd players. The graphics on them are of a very good standard. In the last couple of months the TFT screen has broken. This is because my husband placed his laptop open... Read review

...I bought my T Bird in November 1999 from Sainbury's and since then it has worked very well apart from two faults. The hard disk failed within a month (due to a bad batch apparently) and also within the warranty period the DVD drive stopped reading DVDs (but continued to work with CDs) On both occasions the service was completed reasonably and as these two products were not specifically Fujitsu I put them both down to 'another company' I would certainly buy from Fujitsu again and notice that the same model (but with faster processor and larger HD) is being sold through newspaper adverts by a company called Under a Grand. ...The Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook notebook is a nice looking and fast computer. The screen of this notebook is very large and is controlled by the special function keys. You have the possibility to use 2 pcmcia cards to use scsi equipment or to use a modem. The last notebook I had was a Siemens, but that was a less user friendly machine. The E-series notebook can be equipped with a 4, 6 or 9 GB harddisk. One of the disadvatages of the lifebook is it's keyboard. The keys are not allways very logically situated. The insert and delete keys are for instance situated at the top of the keyboard. So correcting wronly typed words causes you to move your right hand out of the type area. Especially for quick-typing users this is time consuming.... Read review

...this is another great laptop form the amilo range by fujitsu siemens brand. this has only just come out on 30 of august and has been mainly designed for use with video telephony, Internet chat, digital films and MP3 sound files. the AMILO Xi 2428 has a 15.4 inch screen and weighs 3kg, and can be configured with a second hard disk and software for double data security. the amilo xi features an Intel Centrino Duo processor with Intel Core 2 Duo processor up to T7700 which makes this run so much faster than the other amilo series and alot faster than most the laptops on the market. this laptop is bsically the smaller more portable version of the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Xi 2528. it weighs 1kg less and is a bit smaller. however its improved size doesnt effect its storage and memory and all the specs are the same, so basically if you want... ...laptop looks really good, it's a combination of black and silvery white plastic body and this two tone colour makes it look really cool and modern. It features a Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 Ghz processor which runs the 1gb of ram very well, and you'll be surprised at quite how fast this is, maybe its just how fujitsu makes their laptops, but this with only 1gb of ram seems a lot faster than some of the other brands of laptop iv come across which also had 1gb of ram installed. Another good thing about this is that the 1gb of ram can be upgraded to 2gb, however this is quite pricy and will usually cost over £50. However if you do need more ram and a quicker laptop all round then this might be something to think about. This laptop contains what seems to be the bear minimum of hard drive space these days.
