Experience Of Support
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO M-6300 - C 1.2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
mattboxsey
Advantages: Confusing call qualification / Information repeated several times
Disadvantages: Once the call had been logged and agreed the repair was turned around very quickly
...After recently having a problem with A Fujitsu laptop which was still in warranty I recently contacted Fujistu to arrange to have the machine looked at.
The problem with the machine appeared to be that the cable connecting the screen had fractured and needed replacing.
After navigating the Support call system and speaking to several people regarding this fault we appeared to travel full circle and go back to the beginning explaining the fault and symptoms.
Fujitsu seem to have a good support infrastructure and policy in place which just needs some fine tuning.
They need to ensure that all information is relayed as required, and to appreciate that the users placing the call have different levels of experience. (Being a support specialist, you resent being told that the fault is user error and to check the obvious even though you have...

Stylistic ST4110P - For the total mobile user
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic ST4110P - PIII-M 800 MHz - 10.4" TFT by
maxmidnight
Advantages: Lightweight, compact and flexible. Great user interface and robust. Great design feature to aid handling.
Disadvantages: Lacks the power of other tablets, has trouble launching multi application envronments
...Over the past few months, I have been evaluating and rolling out tablet PC's across my organisation within the Health industry. My evaluation has covered the HP Compaq TC1100, the Motion M1200, the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120, and the Toshiba Portégé 3500. What follows is a brief discussion of the Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic ST4110 which I hope will give users some guidance and prove informative.
The Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120 was the first such device we trialed here at the Trust and it was certainly a fantastic baptism for both ourselves and the hardware. Vigorously tested and scrutinised by disgruntled employee's, under duress, it was quickly seen as a fantastic breakthrough in technological architecture and benefited users in almost every aspect of their working lives. It is the lightest of the Tablet PCs and gets the best battery life...

Bad service and product on Fujitsu Amilo D1840
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO D 1840 - P4 3.2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
stnzx
Advantages: the price
Disadvantages: everything else
..., my HD gave an terminal error, It broke down. (12months and 2 days).
I Had to replace that (170 euro's).
Now in the 14 month of me owning a amilo d1840 my adapter has exploded, and because it's an 20v 8A 4 pins adapter (which is unreplacable by an generic adapter) I have to wait for 2 weeks for an new adapter which costs me 120 euro's.
This is probably the worst laptop I have ever owned! THis product is a shame for a company like Fujitsu.
No reasonable support from fujitsu allthough they knew this notebook had these problems!
In my comprehension this is no service, or good publicity for fujitsu, SO fujitsu, what are you people going to do about this! I could use some support for spending 2500 euro on your faulty product!!!...

A good laptop for its money
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO PRO V7010 - Celeron D 325 2.53 GHz - 15.1" TFT by
SMRobinsonHudson
Advantages: More than adequate for the average person
Disadvantages: Not big enough for a busy executive
...My Fujitsu Siemens V7010 was purchased approx 3 1/2 years ago by my husband for me to use. He at that time already had his own laptop and was fed up of me using it so decided I needed one of my own.
I like taking photographs and the added advantage of a slot for your Secure Digital Cards to be able to download them quickly without extra hardware was good. The modem is in-built and came with a selection of international adapters for using with the modem.
There are fans to keep the hard drive cool and these are only run noisy if there is dust or dirt clogging them.
I have used it to play DVD's and they play on here even if they won't run properly on our normal dvd players. The graphics on them are of a very good standard.
In the last couple of months the TFT screen has broken. This is because my husband placed his laptop open...

fab laptop
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3515 Edition - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: great speeds
Disadvantages: not alot of extra features
...laptop looks really good, it's a combination of black and silvery white plastic body and this two tone colour makes it look really cool and modern.
It features a Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 Ghz processor which runs the 1gb of ram very well, and you'll be surprised at quite how fast this is, maybe its just how fujitsu makes their laptops, but this with only 1gb of ram seems a lot faster than some of the other brands of laptop iv come across which also had 1gb of ram installed.
Another good thing about this is that the 1gb of ram can be upgraded to 2gb, however this is quite pricy and will usually cost over £50. However if you do need more ram and a quicker laptop all round then this might be something to think about.
This laptop contains what seems to be the bear minimum of hard drive space these days. It has 80 gb which is quite...

jujitsus best laptop yet!!
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3515 Edition - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
punk_rocker
Advantages: great all rounder
Disadvantages: games
...I really love this laptop, previously siemens haven't really made good computers or laptops but they are now starting to come out with really good products from their Fujitsu ranges.
This is a amilo pro V3515, its looks stylish and is quite compact too.
It features Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 GHz processor which runs the 1gb of installed ram like a dream. Also if you use demanding programs and need more ram then this can be upgraded to a maximum of 2gb. This however if quite dear to do and could cost around £50.
This laptop has a great 120 GB hard drive to store all your data on, also it runs at 5400 rpm which is rather quick.
A criticism to fujitsu would be that this laptop doesn't have a card reader built into it, this is something a lot of people need so i was disappointed to see it didn't contain one.
This amilo has a 15...

The V7010 - Not as a good as it seems...
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO PRO V7010 - Celeron D 325 2.53 GHz - 15.1" TFT by
mattyprice4004
Advantages: Cheap, good speakers and ATI graphics chipset, Runs cool
Disadvantages: Only runs cool because of HUGE fans so noisy, Graphics are actually awful, Bad keyboard
...Most people looking for a laptop will have an idea that the speed of a machine in MHz or GHz will have a direct impact on performance. True, but if you take this to the extreme like a lot of people and base your buying choice on ourely speed, you may fall into the V7010s trap.
The Celeron D CPU in this laptop runs at a smooth 2.53GHz, which will certainly appeal to a lot of people on paper. But be in for a surprise when you power the machine on for the first time....
To me the Fujitsu felt slower than my Compaq Armada M700 running at 1GHz with only 128MB of RAM, although both of them ran XP Home Edition.
The speed is only the first shortcoming of the V7010, as you will find out shortly.
Everything looks bright and rosy on paper - 40GB 'Fast' IDE Hard Disk, ATI IGP 9000 Graphics, Celeron D 2.53GHz CPU... but when you try and use...

Do NOT Buy
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO M1437G - Pentium M 740 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
DAVERUTH
Advantages: Do NOT Buy
Disadvantages: Lagging Issue
...I am glad that I no longer have this laptop. I eventually got my money back after I had numerous brand new replacements that all were immediately returned for serious manufacturer defects (very poor build quality). I also experienced the poor customer service, terrible repair attempts and more besides. In addition to all the problems I got with each brand new delivery, there is a more serious and underlying major hardware problem for Fujitsu-Siemens that has been uncovered. This could potentially be as bad as the great Fujitsu hard drive product recall of 2002!!
Known as "the Lagging Issue", the problem lies in the communication between the motherboard and the hard disk drive(s) in Fujitsu-Siemens laptops.
The problem is a defect in communication between the motherboard and the hard drive that causes stuttering so bad that CDs cannot...

Good Tablet, Good performance, Very durable
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic 3400 - PIII 400 MHz - 10.4" TFT by
abacus1983
Advantages: Good performance, Reliable and Rugged
Disadvantages: Weight, Colour and Battery life
...My review of the Fujitsu Stylistic 3400.
My opinions are very much varied for this machine; I will tell you what I find to be the good, bad and the ugly.
Good: The fact that it is a affordable Tablet PC is probably the best part, With that it boasts a Pentium 3 (400 MHz) Processor, which is not to bad, it performs good enough and is defiantly capable of handling most tasks and the Internet, sometimes both at the same time depending on what your doing, It comes standard with a 6gb Hard drive and 196mb of RAM.
It has 1 x USB port, TV-OUT, Infra-red and built in speakers.
Bad: It lacks a CD/DVD drive; the stylus pen is awful and looks like something that has been pulled out of a cracker.
The battery doesn’t tend to hold its charge for that much of a longer period but it does have the advantage of the power supply.
The weight is probably...
