...Fujitsu Siemens is a company known worldwide, renowned for its latest technological inventions and new approaches to hot gadgets. Fujitsu Siemens Computer supply a good, sturdy range of computer accessories such as RAM, disk drives, monitors and even whole computer systems. Speakers are no exception to this rule. When I first bought my computer, brand new as it was, I was pleased to see that it had a nice pair of speakers counted in it. Although the size of the speakers was, and still is quite extortionate in proportion to other speakers on the market, they have a sleek, attractive design. The base of the speakers is cut at a rather odd angle, making the speakers ‘lay back’ when placed properly onto a flat surface. ...This is yet another great laptop made by fujitsu siemens. Its basically great for having around the house, and mainly for keeping on a desk most of the time. In fact id describe this as a replacement desktop, it will run just as fast as one and is so much smaller so why not get one instead of a huge desktop pc. This particular ones the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3505 Edition, which is another spin off of the designs of the amilo’s. however this one does look a lot different to all the other amilos out there and is one of my favourite designs Fujitsu have done. Its combination of the colours black and silver/grey make this laptop look a lot more stylish and cooler than if it was all in just one colour. My favourite feature of this use of colour is how the grey keyboard stands out around the black bottom of the laptop... Read review

Advantages: the price

...ended, my HD gave an terminal error, It broke down. (12months and 2 days). I Had to replace that (170 euro's). Now in the 14 month of me owning a amilo d1840 my adapter has exploded, and because it's an 20v 8A 4 pins adapter (which is unreplacable by an generic adapter) I have to wait for 2 weeks for an new adapter which costs me 120 euro's. This is probably the worst laptop I have ever owned! THis product is a shame for a company like Fujitsu. No reasonable support from fujitsu allthough they knew this notebook had these problems! In my comprehension this is no service, or good publicity for fujitsu, SO fujitsu, what are you people going to do about this! I could use some support for spending 2500 euro on your faulty product!!!... Read review

Advantages: Upgradeability, accessability, standard components
Disadvantages: Although helpful, the support and maintenance could be better, in particular the engineers attending need to be more considerate on the stressing of cables I think, and need to not simply resort to reinstalling windows as the catch all solution

...I originally bought this machine over 3 years ago now, and although I initially had some concerns over the sound card quality, and the usual Windows installation problems. I did manage to get reasonable support from the Fujitsu ICL helpdesk. I eventually managed to get the sound card replaced, even though there seemed to be some question as to whether the card was in fact faulty. On a particular piece of software the quality of the sound was unbearable, and although it did seem to improve after the new sound card, it did not become totally improved. One of the main advantages of buying a relatively expensive machine like the Fujitsu, has been in the realive ease of upgrading it. Even things like adding Hard Drives are all taken care of with the cables and connectors all being provided to make this reasonably painless. On other machines... Read review

...are removable and replaceable with coloured ones. You are supplied with Blue and Orange replacements. Fujitsu Siemens market this, as ‘this appealing design is an asset to any living room’. Hmmmm. Not really, in my opinion, the midi tower belongs as out of site as possible, under the desk! The Scaleo 600 is also available with a Pentium 4.0 2Ghz processor. ...well i have had various pc's in my time and often get bored with them and sell them on towards newer models. the last pc i owned had a p4 2.66 ghz processor which was quite decent but ran at around £1000.00 for the basic system. this is about the fujitsu siemens scaleo l system that i have just bought. here are the basics with the new system. 15" tft flatscreen monitor standard fujitsu-siemens keyboard standard fujitsu-siemens scroll mouse standard fujitsu-siemens speakers with 120 watt pmpo athlon xp 2600+ processor 80 gb hdd standard 1.44 mb floppy dvd rom drive dvd+r 4.7gb dvd writer 512 mb ddr ram modem 56k v.92 nvidia geforce 4 graphics windows xp not bad a little package especially when i let you know the current price of the model is only £699.99. this was at pc world. now my old pc was fine... ...i had this notebook as replacement for a damaged computer, it was brought brand new from the shop and i regret the moment i ever clapped eyes on it, in a lot of the fujitsu laptops they all appear to get cracks on the top right hand corner of the screen and then progress to get one on the left also.. i had the computer for 2 weeks before the first crack became apparent, i just thought it was a mark and tried to clean it off with special wipes for the computer , then i realised it was a crack, it got worse and worse and now has a 1 mil gap between each bit of plastic.... around where the charger whent then progressed to small crack to big then snapped off, and the top of the computer got cracks in it too which are proceeding to spread as we speak..... the inside of the computer may be good but the outside is really cheaply...
