Fujitsu lifebook E series
Advantages: quick nice design
Disadvantages: keyboard
...The Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook notebook is a nice looking and fast computer. The screen of this notebook is very large and is controlled by the special function keys. You have the possibility to use 2 pcmcia cards to use scsi equipment or to use a modem. The last notebook I had was a Siemens, but that was a less user friendly machine.
The E-series notebook can be equipped with a 4, 6 or 9 GB harddisk. One of the disadvatages of the lifebook is it's keyboard. The keys are not allways very logically situated. The insert and delete keys are for instance situated at the top of the keyboard. So correcting wronly typed words causes you to move your right hand out of the type area. Especially for quick-typing users this is time consuming....

amazing laptop!!
Advantages: everthing about it!
Disadvantages: price!
...This laptop really is in every shape and form a business mans ideal laptop.
There really isn’t any downsides to this laptop at all, well except from the extremely high price tag, but if you’ve got the money to spend then what a machine to spend it on.
This fujitsu lifebook E8410, is a quite new type of laptop from the fujitsu siemens brand. These new laptops are called lifebook, and are especially designed for portability and super quick running speeds.
The design of this laptop is fantastic, its combination of three main colours makes it look a lot more modern than some of its predecessors and gives it a cool edge over its rivals.
A business mans laptop that looks cool instead of boring seemed to be something acers travel mates just weren’t designed to be and I don’t think acer could ever figure out how to...

Worlds most desirable, hi-performance laptop? !!
Advantages: Style, high performance, biometrics, fast bootup, extremely high specs
Disadvantages: Heavy @ 2.6kg, MSOffice 2007 provided is trial version
...Wow. We first came across this baby while looking for a laptop for a friend of mine, while in Hong Kong. There were a couple of notable changes:
- there was a promotion, which upgraded the RAM to 3GB.
- the promotion also threw in what it calls an HD-TV USB stick, which turns out to be a digital tv tuner. It is HD (High-Definition) - as long as you can output it (e.g. on an HD TV screen!)
We were told that this was the only brand being sourced from Japan at the moment (known for quality).
We tested the machine prior to buying it of course, and we added a couple of extras - mainly MS Office 2007 and a bluetooth mouse (which we won't cover, as they were additional).
In short:
- The laptop came well-packaged and suspended in polystrene
- When logging in, you can use a password - or you can use your fingerprint! Put your...

GREAT Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110
Advantages: cheap, easy to use ,all your internet need, good dvd rom/cd-rw
Disadvantages: quite slow on start up
...Ive had this laptop now for about a year and i havent had anything wrong with it but to be honest it isnt the best laptop in the world as it is abit slow when loading up and it could do with a bigger hard drive as it only has a 20gb. but if you only want a laptop to go the internet ,read your e-mails and to watch and burn dvds i would highly recommend it to anyone and as it is a bit old you can get one for around £149.99 which is realy cheap for a laptop which to be honest isnt that bad! and im sure if you have a look on ebay you could get one fo around £70 which would be a bargin! so if you are looking for a laptop which is cheap and does all the your internet , email and media needs you need to get yourself a Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110....

Nice compact machine if speed not essential
Advantages: Light. Easy to manage. Good build quality. Good design
Disadvantages: Low specifications by today's standards. Not much battery life on wireless
...incorporates many of the same design ideas that I see in today's designs. The laptop is small enough to pick up and bring around with you, without any fuss, which is the whole point of these devices.
I would buy another Fujitsu laptop, as they have clearly understood how to make a good one for a long time. Of course all Toshiba laptops will be fitted with HD-DVD drives in 2008, so it makes sense to wait for one of these....ok total contradiction there but new laptops require a much higher budget. This laptop will cost buttons to buy on eBay, but it was expensive at the time at around IR£1,300 or EUR1,700 new...

Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S5582 Excellent Buy
Advantages: Light-weight, Robust, Fast by P3 standards, slim look, soft touch keyboard
Disadvantages: External Floppy Drive, Poor Speakers, PS2 port on Docking Bay only
...Firtsly, let me say that before you turn away from this beauty, you have to look at it close up and not in a picture. When I saw it, I had to have it there and then, it is THAT beautiful.
It has a sleek silver finish that is lovely to touch, easy to clean and looks virtually scratch resistant.
The keyboard is lovely and is soft-touch, i.e. it takes light tapping of the keys to type. The only disadvantage is that you have to press the 'Fn' or second function key to use the home, page up/down and end keys, which are integrated with the arrow keys. But I quickly got used to this. The keyboard has a windows key in the right place which most modern laptops lack. This is essential for a person who knows the keyboard shortcuts in windows.
As for the operating system, I have Windows 2000 running and it's a dream. Boot up takes about 15...

Samsung E-magine
Advantages: Slim, light, easy to use, good sound system
Disadvantages: Poor quality camera, outdated
...After my Nokia 7373 broke, I should say after I broke it, but that's not something to go into now, I realised I was still paying for a £35 a month contract and getting no benefit so I went in search in a new phone. The problem is now when you buy a pay as you go phone that so many of them are network locked, so I knew I was far better off buying a phone on the right network. Better safe than sorry. I didn't think I was in any great rush to buy a phone but one lunchtime after a particularly bad morning at college, I decided to pop along to the local Tesco and have a look for a new phone. The choice was relatively limited but amongst the usual tat I noticed something that I quite liked. It was a Samsung E250.
I had previously had the D500, about eighteen months ago, so I knew they were reliable, the menus were easy to use...

E, how did I ever live without this?!
Advantages: attractive, loads of features, good contract
Disadvantages: /
.... They were not offering BlackBerries on the plan I wanted, but I did find a really nice phone in the form of the Nokia E71 and as soon as I read about it, I knew it was the one for me. Once again I processed the order, and much to my surprise an email came through a few days later, telling me that the order had been successful and that my phone would be with me in a few days. I have never felt so relieved in all my life!
After what seemed like forever, I picked up my new phone from the post office and rushed home. Sitting myself down, I carefully prised open the box to discover the contents. Sitting on top was the shell of my phone, incomplete without its battery or sim card. Removing this and the top layer, I discovered the rest of the wonders that came with the package. Along with the dozen leaflets and little booklets you get telling you...

Binatone e800 - the budget handset
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Lack of enhanced functions
...Introduction
At work, we still live in the dark ages where wired telephones are very much the norm. In our office however, we have dedicated support PC's which we constantly need to move to from our own PC's. As it was getting silly with trailing wires all over the office floor, the boss decided to buy us a new hands free phone kit. The kit he went for was the Binatone E800 twin set. I think this was probably the cheapest he could find but nonetheless we were still grateful as it was an unexpected gesture from him.
In the box
The box itself was very small, containing just the 2 handsets, 2 small bases, a power lead and the instruction manual. Being IT guys, we completely ignored the manual and attempted to set the phones up the way we thought.
Setup
Before we could use the handsets, they needed to be...

The E71 is a fantastic smartphone, packed with features.
Advantages: Packed with features, big and bright screen, astonishing battery life
Disadvantages: Poor camera
...The Nokia E71 is a Symbian-based Smartphone, with a full QWERTY keyboard. I've had this for three months now, which I feel is a sensible amount of time to be able to give a full informed opinion on how easy the phone is to live with.
I got this on contract with Orange through an online retailer (http://www.mobiles.co.uk), on a 24-month contract with £250 automatic cashback, for £40 per month, which gave me 1200 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data per month on Orange.
Well, that's the package, but what about the phone itself?
First of all, personally I think it's a fantastic looking phone. The buttons are all neatly laid out (which is a must, with so many of them!), and despite the keypad buttons being small, it's easy to use, and even with sausage fingers like I have, I don't often hit a wrong key. The finish oozes...
