Advantages: Reliable, good for work
Disadvantages: Cannot play high end games

...As always, a computer is supposed to be chosen by its owner to cater to his or her needs. In this case, the Fujitsu Tablet T4215 is catered towards work and is incapable of playing high end games. It has the tablet function, useful for taking notes (i use this a lot, mostly to doodle :D) and the keyboard at a favourable layout, meaning that all the keys are within reach and easy to press, you do not have to over stretch. The screen is smaller than laptops of other models or brands, but it is sufficient if all you are going to do is write reports and surf the net. However, I find that the tablet screen scratches easily after you use the tablet pen on it for a while, so it is best to buy a screen protector. Other than that (and the fact that after a while it gains a lot of scratches, probably my fault), it is a good notebook...

Look You can?t go wrong with sleek, black and stylish (unless you?re in a Monty Python movie), and the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO L 3220t (why can?t things like this just be called Fred or something?) pulls this look off really well. It fits with almost any computer hardware set. It is of a reasonable size and is not too bulky (4 kg) but doesn?t have you squinting to see the screen (22 in). Function It provides a smooth, clear visual output and was very easy to set up, the integrated speakers provided a reasonable volume and clear sound, it does everything you would expect of a monitor well, but unfortunately all my efforts to teach it dog tricks have failed miserably. ...Ive had this laptop now for about a year and i havent had anything wrong with it but to be honest it isnt the best laptop in the world as it is abit slow when loading up and it could do with a bigger hard drive as it only has a 20gb. but if you only want a laptop to go the internet ,read your e-mails and to watch and burn dvds i would highly recommend it to anyone and as it is a bit old you can get one for around £149.99 which is realy cheap for a laptop which to be honest isnt that bad! and im sure if you have a look on ebay you could get one fo around £70 which would be a bargin! so if you are looking for a laptop which is cheap and does all the your internet , email and media needs you need to get yourself a Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110....

...would send some disks that would put this right. So I turned off the Laptop to wait for the disks which, still have not arrived 1 week later. When I decided to turn the Laptop on again it came up with a message saying Disk Error, press any key to continue, I pressed any key and the same message was repeated several times but the Laptop would not start. I again phoned Fujitsu/Siemens and was told that it was to be returned to Comet for refund or replacement, but that they had to have a copy of the reciept from the manager at comet to send the code needed for this to hAppen. So I had to phone Comet to get this done, this was completed the same day( Thur), but no number was sent to Comet until the following Mon, this was when I finally decided to ask for a refund. I have not been able to asses how good this Laptop was, but can say honestly...

Advantages: Light-weight, Robust, Fast by P3 standards, slim look, soft touch keyboard
Disadvantages: External Floppy Drive, Poor Speakers, PS2 port on Docking Bay only

.... The docking bay is very light and even with it connected, this laptop is still smaller and lighter than most full laptops. The docking bay has the floppy connection (which seems to have it's own sort of connector and not the usual USB), serial port, lpt prot, usb port, screen port, lan port and two PS2 ports. The actual machine without the docking bay has 2 USB ports (one on the side for mouse etc, and one on the back for modem, printer etc), sound ports (mic, speakers, line in), 56k modem, lan port, 1 PCMCIA port, screen port and infra red. The speakers are a let down, but the sound card is excellent so if you use head phones or desktop speakers you won't be disappointed. The DVD/CD Rom drive is reliable and fast, and to upgrade it is as simple as unplugging it. The screen is lovely and although it may sound small, is actually the same...

A Lifebook to make Life Easier
