Fullers London Porter

Advantages: Nice complex, roasty taste. Not too expensive.
Disadvantages: A bit heavy sometimes. Not as refreshing as a lager for example.

...Fullers London Porter. 5.4% ABV Usually £1.89 for a single bottle. But on the current 4 for 3 deal at Sainsbury's it comes to £1.42 per bottle. London Porter is brewed by Fuller, Smith & Turner Plc at their Griffin Brewery in Chiswick London. Next to the river Thames in their 350 year old brewery which is the oldest in London. It is easilly available from Sainsbury's and probably also from the other main supermarkets. The porter has a smooth, roasty and complex taste. It's quite rich so is more one for a quiet night in than if you want a few more beers. It's colour is very dark, almost black. There is a slight tint of ruby if held up to the light. It holds a thick, tan coloured head which clings to the sides of the glass. This is similar to a stout, only with a sweeter malty flavour and less bitter than...

Experience of Fuller CV

Advantages: Expert service. Quick turnaround
Disadvantages: None

...My experience of dealing with Fuller CV can only be described as excellent. From the fist contact through to receiving my finalised CV the whole process was handled with a professional & speedy manor. After spending three months out of work & applying for over 50 roles without even getting an interview I decided to use Fuller CV to re-write my CV. Two Days after the contacting them I had a 2hr telephone interview with discussing my CV. Five days later the final CV was electronically sent to me. Within a week of receiving my CV from Fuller CV I have had my first interview & have been offered a job that two previous agencies would not submit my application for with my previous CV. I have & would recommend the services of Fuller CV....

Review of The Fuller CV

Fuller CV

Advantages: Speed and efficiency
Disadvantages: None

...I have used the Fuller CV service to review my CV and also to look at my covering letter. My problem was that I had far to much to say, and indeed my CV was overloaded with information. I was telephoned by their consultant in my field at exactly the time I requested and given a full hour of advice and discussion. In just a few days from my original contact with the firm I had a completely revised CV in my inbox. The covering letter was also much reduced and much more to the point. I am very grateful to the company for their caring and professional attitude; the consultant had an excellent manner and also obviously takes a great deal of pride in what he does. I highly recommend the service and think that it is good value for money....

I Prefer a Fuller Figure

Advantages: Rich, fruity and decadent
Disadvantages: Too few to mention

...I'm fed up waiting for CIAO to add beers that I've suggested. With this in mind, I've had a gander through the database and a quick swatch at the shelves of my local supermarket. The result? Read on..... Fuller's beers have a unique record. Since CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) first held their Champion Beer of Britain competition, Fuller's have won the Beer of the Year award five times. Their beers have been best in class nine times and ESB has been voted Best Strong Ale an unprecedented seven times making it a bit of a legend. Official website: http://www.fullers.co.uk/ Although brewing dates back to 1654 at the Griffin Brewery on the banks of the River Thames, the partnership of Fuller, Smith And Turner was formed in 1845. In 1995, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of this formation, Fuller's commissioned a special...

Fuller's London Porter

Advantages: Great beer
Disadvantages: None

...Fuller's London Porter is a fine Porter which apparently follows fairly closely the London Porter ales of yesteryear. Although this London Porter is considerably weaker in terms of alcoholic potency that the Porter ales drunk by the Porters of the 18 and 19 century in London. Those chaps knew how to work hard and play hard, too! This particular Porter is 5.4% alcohol. It has a decent head on it and it has a good, dark colour to it. If you hold it up to the light you can just about see through it But there beer is totally pure and wholesome. Well, being brewed by Fullers, you could really expect nothing less, could you? It has a good, robust aroma, which has undertones of softer biscuitiness and a hint of chocolate. The taste? How to describe the taste? The combination of pale, crystal, brown and chocolate malts gives Fullers...

Tiger Beer

Advantages: A tasty drop of lager
Disadvantages: None, specifically, that I can pick out

...Every curry house sells it, and the argument goes which 'curry beer' is better; Cobra, Kingfisher or Tiger... well this review will describe the pros of Tiger beer in all it's glory. Born in Asia in 1932 and brewed and bottled by Hainan Asia Pacific Brewery Co., with some of the finest quality hops and malted barley and no artificial additives, Tiger beer has spread over the world to become one of the world's favourite, and most successful beers across the land. The malt barley hails from Europe and Australia, and the hops are specially produced in Germany. The yeast is also specially produced in Holland specifically for Tiger. The beer is brewed solely in the Far East and goes through rigorous quality control checks, supposedly 50 more than most other beers, to help ensure the beer has the brand's unique taste, just how...

The KINGfisher of Beers

Advantages: Good value on special deals
Disadvantages: Not so great if you have to pay premium prices

...Have you heard the one about how copper wire was invented by two Scotsmen fighting over a penny? You haven't? Well I haven't got time to tell you it just now, but it's a blatant misrepresentation of the Scottish psyche. I was discussing this slur on our national character with a friend recently when I happened upon 4-pack (330ml) of KINGFISHER beer for the knock-down price of £1.99. I grabbed those suckers quicker than a Jock slipping out the fire exit when it's his round at the bar, and toddled off home by myself (so I didn't have to share them). But enough of that, what about the beer? KINGFISHER is India's leading brand of premium lager with a share approaching 25% of the total beer market, it's the top-selling Indian lager in the UK and Europe, and it's also available in 50 other countries...

The Fuller CV - fast response - poor content.

Advantages: Fast Response.
Disadvantages: Poor content analysis, not worth the email it was typed on.

...Why did I choose 'The Fuller CV'? Having had little response to a CV that had previously worked, I decided to get it reviewed 'professionally' by a collegue who is an HR Consultant. As this modified version did not seem to do the trick either I decided to get a second opinion. I opted for The Fuller CV as it was flagged by Job Site. First things, first, After completing a brief registration process, you have two options to obtain your CV review, either by a phone call where you will speak with one of their consultants, or you can have it emailed to you subject to an 'adminstration charge'. I chose the review by email option at a cost of £9.73. What do I think of 'The Fuller CV'? The Good: I was impressed that this 'review' was delivered in an hour as they state it can take up to 'three days'. The Not So Good...

Fuller Summer Flavour

Advantages: Crisp, refreshing and means that summer is here!
Disadvantages: Not available all year round.

...Stevethesleeve reminded me that it was now the ?summer ale? time of year once again. This got me remembering the lovely brew we tried last year while visiting my brother in London. Now I?ve returned from holiday feeling relaxed, tanned and happy, I can think about summer again. Consequently I can think about those lovely summer ales once again. One such brew is Fuller?s summer Ale! Fullers are London?s oldest brewery; it?s stood on the same site for over 350 years. The company we know today was set up in 1845 and, surprisingly enough, the founding families are still involved in the present process. Fullers try to maintain traditional methods and have been really successful in producing some great beers (there aren?t many breweries that have won CAMRA Beer of the Year on 5 occasions). Their seasonal beers include Red Fox (4...

Ahm nae crabbit with Crabbie's Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer*

Advantages: nice taste, refreshinmg
Disadvantages: not widely available

...I'm an old fashioned girl at heart and love the old fashioned drinks such as saspherlila, Dandelion and Burdock and cloudy lemonade. Most of all like the Famous Five I love ginger beer. I love strong flavours and there is nothing better on a hot day than the fiery hit of a decent ginger beer. To awaken and tantalise my taste buds. I tend to drink Old Jamaicabut was very excited when I came across Crabbie's original alcoholic ginger beer next to the real ales and ciders in Waitrose recentl Crabbie's are a Scottish company that are known for their green ginger wine but have now branched out intro grown up ginger beer that has enough alcohol in it at 4% to make Timmy and maybe aunt fanny a little tipsy. It is described on the bottle as being made from a unique recipe of fruit, spices and real ginger (thank god. I'm not sure what fake...
