In this way the short stories do have a somewhat moral stance to them but are in the same way told in a fun and entertaining way to keep children amused. Wierd, Wacky and Fun!

...Fun With Dick and Jane, made in 1977 is the original of the recent remake starring Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni. This version stars George Segal and Jane Fonda in the title roles of, erm, Dick and Jane, who are a fairly rich, middle class suburban couple, to whom appearances are everything. So when Dick loses her job and it is revealed that he is teetering on the edge of a big pile of debt, they start to try and live as frugally as possible, in order to make ends meet.
