The third of a series of four planned Futurama spin-off TV movies, Benders Game follows Benders Big Score and Beast With A Billion Backs, and comfortably sits alongside them. Its good, and its sometimes very funny, but is unlikely still to be regarded as vintage Futurama. The plot of Benders Game takes the regulars on a mission that soon sees them in a strange land, which bears a striking resemblance to something out of Dungeons and Dragons or Lord of the Rings. This isnt, as youd expect, the safest place to be, and thus the scene is set for lots of genre gags that are, at their finest, hard to resist. On the downside, the pacing is a little off this time round, and it takes Benders Game some time to hit its stride. The quest part of the movie doesnt kick into until well over half the running time is up, and while theres real ambition in the narrative, it does demand some patience. But still, even if this isnt top notch Futurama, it still packs in plenty of belly laughs, and squeezes more entertainment into 84 minutes than many movies get close to in two hours. You still yearn for the tightness of the TV show format, but the quality of the writing just about drags Benders Game through, leaving us thirsting for the fourth, and potentially final, movie. --Jon Foster ... less

Boring game you only want to play once
Advantages: None whatsoever, not even for a new Futurama feature
Disadvantages: Uses too many recycled ideas
...This is the 3rd full length movie offering from Fox & Matt Groening based on the Futurama franchise. The fact that they managed to get 3 movies out so fast should really speak volumes as to both it's quality and quantity.
Once again we're following the exploits of the employees of Planet Express based in New New York and this is yet another movie where Bender gets to be the lead character...

Futurama PS2
Advantages: Voice actors used, nice storyline as written by the creators of the tv show
Disadvantages: Repetitive actions not fun for a platformer, camera angles really off, hardly any replay value
...The Simpsons had had a big success on the PS2 platform before this Futurama game came out, so it was no surprise that they would develop this well loved television show into a game. I thought that it would be as good as the other games from Matt Groenings creations that I had played, but I was quite disappointed and found it to be merely okay and not something I would really ever think about...

Futurama
Advantages: Funny, good characters!!! :)
Disadvantages: Not as good as the Simpsons.
