PS2 Review of Timesplitters Future Perfect

Advantages: Excellent new story mode, graphics pushing its limits on PS2, online play, better mapmaker, offline multiplayer, loads of characters to select, new challenges and leagues.
Disadvantages: Online voice comms not good enough, not able to join some games online.

...When I received a copy of this game, I dived straight into the box and inserted into the PS2. I was so excited as to what I am about to unfold. The game is following Cortez this time around and his mission is to find the time crystals and destory them before Jacob Crow destroys and wipes out the whole human race with his invention of the Timesplitters. In the story mode, there are a great number of levels to play and compared to the other two games previously, it now feels more like a proper story mode. One of the best features in the mode is the ability to meet yourself in-game, which means a past and future self of Cortez. This is vital on completion of the game. Advantages: Arcade games fully adaptable, unlimited lifespan

...This in my opinion is one of the best PS2 games on the market, you can play it again and again and it never gets bored, it has more or less no lifespan, this isbecuase of the arcade mode, it is fully customisable, you can choose the players, weapons, music, loction and type of game. The location however do need some more work doing to them, becuase it is clear to see that they have re-modelled the original maps for example the Mexican Mission on future perfect is much the same as on Timesplitters 1 & 2, it cn as be seen in Siberia which is also a spin off of the Ice Station. Unlike splitter 2 two on future perfect you don't have to unlock the different game modes, so it is non stop 1-4 player fun, it is also compatible for PS3. ...Right, let's get one thing clear, Timesplitters is a brilliant mutiplayer experience, and I can most definitely say the same about the latest title in the series. There's nothing more satisfying than putting a few bullets ito your best friend on a game is there? Especially when your best friend is a Squid running around with a flamethrower in his hands, and you're a shotgun wielding Gingerbread Man. There really is nothing better! It combines first person shooter with great gameplay and thousands of weapons ranging from the 9mm pistol to heatseeker and monkey gun. Is this perfect or will the future hold better?

Advantages: drastically improved story, great multiplayer with online play

...I bought this game 2 weeks ago, and have completed it. Now before I get into any detail I am just going to say that this game should not be compared to Halo 2, because they are both 2 very different First Person Shooters. Halo 2 is very serious were as this is nothing short of hilarious and simply fun to play, where as Halo 2 (especially the ending) is frustrating. *Sound* 4/5 The sound on the game is similar to the sound of the previous 2. The in game music and menu music while nothing extraordinary, fits the style of the game perfectly. The voices are brilliant in the game, some of the lines in the story mode are just hiliarious. Timesplitters: Future perfect an amazing game.

Advantages: amazing game in story mode, even better in multiplayer mode.
Disadvantages: some bits are hard.

...and completed the mini-games as well in about 2 weeks, to complete the game in hard mode it would take you ages. I would definitely recommend this to potential buyers because it's the best multiplayer shooting game out, along with the rest of the timesplitters games, their probably the second best series out of PS2 games, the best is the GTA's. I have gave this game excellent 10/10 it deserves it, who made the timesplitters 1, 2 and 3(future perfect) is a legend. Nobody could have made a better shooting game....

Timesplitters - Future Perfect - Good, Clean Fun

Advantages: AI better, Weapons are more fun, Lot More Characters, Good Graphics

...What type of game is it?- this game is a first person shooter which contains some crude but likeable humour. You play Cortez an agent from the future, you start out by returning from a quest where you had to secure a collection of crystals that power a time machine. Once you return with the crystals, you're sent hopping through time in an attempt to prevent mankind's current conflict--a losing battle against creatures of unknown origin--from ever happening. As you leap around throughout the past, you're put into a lot of different wacky scenarios.
