...will be some useful functions on these type of calculators (like solving quadratic equation and drawing out graph transformations etc.) that you cannot do on the Casio fx-83EX. But even now, at university, i still keep this calculator as it is so easy to use and has useful functions that you sometimes don't even get on the very expensive calculators!
I would definitely recommend this product!
Another last note is to say that to be honest, you don't even need to bother with the instruction manual as it is so simple to use and it is a commonly used calculator in schools so the teachers are bound to know how to do everything!...

Review of Casio FX 83 ES
...notice about the album is the title and front image. The album is called "Heavy petting zoo" and the front cover shows a painting of a barn with some sheep outside. The most noticable thing on the cover is the man in the fromt left, taking up around half the cover, who is "Heavily petting" a sheep. If you know what i mean. (If not, i would look for yourself, lol)
When you get inside the booklet all of the lyrics are in it. However, they are all written on various people/objects which have then been photographed, making some quite hard to read. But after a few listens you will already have a rough idea and they will be clear.
Finally, the message on the back of the booklet is rather.......angry. Instead of the usual "thanks" notes NoFX have a "No thanx" section which reads as follows....
"No Thanx to: MTV - Quit bugging us...
Advantages: A lot of effects in one unit. Good price Disadvantages: The Blue LED is a bit bright and can be distracting
...When you get bored of hearing your guitar making ordinary noises it is time to plug in an effects pedal. An effects pedal is a foot operated gizmo that you plug into the line between an instrument (usually a guitar) and the amplifier. Its purpose is to modify the signal from the instrument.
There is a huge range of pedals available, back in the 1970s I had two that are now considered to be classics, the Dunlop Crybaby Wah wah pedal and, I kid you not, a distortion pedal that gloried in the unlikely and slightly pervy name of The Big Muff Fuzz Box. Later on more advanced effects were available, with octavers, phase shifter and chorus heralding a range of modulating effects.
These range hugely in price but i have discovered the Behringer range of pedals which offer great quality at very fair prices. The FX600 is a multi...
Advantages: simple, easy to use Disadvantages: outdated
...This is the Casio FX 83MS Scientific Calculator, for typical use at high school level. This is what you need to keep up in maths at school at GCSE level and beyond. The extra functions of a scientific calculator are necessary for this level of work and are still useful even if you just want to use a calculator simply.
Anyway, that applies for any scientific calculator, now what about this one? This is a Casio which is a good sign straight off. Casio is one of the leading brands in the scientific calculator market keeping one step ahead of the rest at all times. Now the recent 'natural display' releases from leading firms are a definite improvement on these originals as they show fractions in the form they are written amongst other things but this is still good enough. There are many different versions of the Casio scientific...

Review of Casio FX 83 MS
Advantages: Good and easy to use interface, sytlish, clear and concise Disadvantages: None, really
...Casio has invented a new model of calculator. With textbook display and good functions, maths students will be very pleased! It has a simple to use interface with over 100 functions. It has been developed from the FX85MS which was also a great calculator. It is also solar-powered.
It is stylish and looks really good. With a case to protect it when it's not being used it saves the calculator from being damaged in most cases (water sipllages).
The calculator comes with a instructions manual which contains all the relevant uses for the calculator and ways to use and how to use the diffferent functions on the calculator.
The calculator can erase it's memory and be used in 3 different modes depending on the type of maths.
It is available in all good retail shops (stationery box, sainsburys and tescos +maany more). For a price...

Review of Casio FX 85 ES
Advantages: The new casio natural display and solar power Disadvantages: I'll explain in the review
...Ok the Casio FX 85 ES is simply put the best calculator available on the market that can be used in exams. Casio have recently been working with the Joint Examination board to ensure it's new "student" calculators do not break the rules-so no worries there students!
So this natural display-what is it? Basically it allows you to type on the screen as if you were writing it in your book, for example squares roots are real on there and you can do fractions properly. I find it incredibly easy to use and it has gained me an A so far in my A-levels (i'm not that clever honest).
Personally i wouldn't read the instructions-merely use them for reference and work everything out on your own-it's easy enough.
The calculator boasts all the normal functions including memory storage, radians degrees and gradians functions...

Review of Casio FX 85 ES
Advantages: HDMI, Manual Settings, Large LCD Screen, Quality steady shot, Battery Life Disadvantages: No XLR Input, Battery charges on camera
...OVERVIEW
As anyone that has read any of my other reviews will probably know, I am very much interested in photography and video editing. After upgrading my digital stills camera to a digital SLR, the next thing on my agenda was my video camera. Since 2001 I've been using the Sony VX2000E camera, which was labelled as a pro-sumer model because unlike a small compact handicam, the VX2000E was the top end of Sony's consumer models. Anyone that buys a car knows that if you are ever fortunate enough to buy a brand new car, you always want to try and stay at that level, well the same is true for me and cameras, I'd got the best that I could afford back then and when considering what to replace it with, I wanted to stay at the same sort of level again.
The Sony HDR FX7E was my answer.
There are numerous settings on the camera, and I...

Review of Sony HDR-FX7E
Advantages: Easy to use ad free remotely hosted scripts. Disadvantages: Errrrrrr .... none that I can honestly think of.
...Anyone with a pair of eyes will have noticed that advertising is everywhere these day and while this is all well and good it does have it's downsides.
I first came across this site not that long ago, about a month or so, after trawling for hours looking for remotely hosted CGI scripts, counters and other things that all help make a web site a success. Specifically I was looking for a web counter that was invisible to everyone as the site I needed it for was rather new and it has been my experience that a low hit count is off-putting to surfers so keeping it invisible until it reached an acceptable level seemed like a good idea.
I went through loads of sites and couldn't find quite was I was looking for then I clicked on the link for Infinite FX. Instantly the page started with an animated opening giving me choice of wether I wanted...

Review of InfiniteFX.co.uk
Advantages: veyr fast, good processor speeds, beats any card on the market, 256 MB RAM Disadvantages: very, very, very expensive, not really anything wrong with it
...▲How it came to me ▲
Well, my graphics card before this one was, quite frankly, rubbish, to say the least. I brought some new games that demanded a faster and reliable graphics card, so, I told them I wanted to get the PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX, which I was very happy about buying after I received it.
I paid something in the region of £2,250, from Dabs.com, I?m not joking either, I was fed up with graphics cards that don?t work and that most games aren?t compatible with. Well, I was in one hell of a surprise with the quality of this card, and how quick it was as well.
I wanted to make sure that I wasn?t going to be ripped off, so I went for Dabs.com, because I know that they deliver quickly, and that it would come to me on time. I waited four days for this to turn up, I made dabs.com pay for recorded delivery so that...
