...later at night we arrive - around 8pm and the car park was jam-packed. We found a space not too far away and were able to re-park the next day but I would advise checking in as soon as you can to avoid that problem!

* The Claremont Hotel is part of the Choice Hotels group. They always send me brochures to let me know what is available, and they send me an annual news letter to keep me updated on changes and staff news which is lovely.

There is one with the address 1 Derbe Road and post code FY8 1NJ which is much further outside Blackpool. The correct address is 270 North Promenade...
Advantages: Better still than everything available now. Disadvantages: Slight price difference.
...cost us £1.700 pounds to get this condition diagnosed and under control. Our dog had complications with the bacterial growth. Luckily we were insured.

Advantages: Cheap and cheeful, with a friendly feel Disadvantages: No nice views
...-the-bank treat. I've been several times and this is the only occasion on which the service wasn't excellent, so I would like to assume this case was the exception not the norm for them. Perhaps it was their subtle way of telling me to save my pennies, or to lose a few pounds, or perhaps they were just super busy. Either way, it's not enough to put me off, and I will be back.

...postcodes FY1 - FY8 and PR1 – PR5 can join special privilege clubs allowing discounted entry (proof of address is required), and family tickets are available which work out marginally cheaper if you have 2 adults and 2 or 3 children in your party. After 2pm it’s also cheaper, but not by much and the parking’s almost impossible by this point, so I wouldn’t recommend it. After flashing my Fylde Family Club card (10 years old, but still valid), insisting that Quy was my adopted brother to get him in cheap too (luckily my sister, Kim, has a gender-ambiguous name ;-) ) and paying, we were on our way.
Once you hand over your ticket you head down the stairs (there’s a lift for wheelchair users, but it’s tiny) to the changing rooms. These are quite spacious, or at least the female ones are. There’re communal...

...uncomfortable at breakfast when discovering that we were the youngest guests by a generation here!
This is the first of my hotel reviews using a scoring system, it will be interesting to see how the Chadwick scores against a variety of other hotels, using objective scoring rather than the rather emotive "character" issue which this particular hotel majors on.
