Advantages: None Disadvantages: Regular Blood Tests, Blood Transfusions and a long list of things to avoid
...Though I'd update this a bit seen as the Genetics department at the John Radcliffe Hospital has finally managed to do a bit more research into both my boys condition.
I had never come across this condition before until my eldest son (5) was diagnosed with the condition at birth. He was critically ill at birth and spent the next 10 days in the Special Care Baby Unit, having blood transfusions, and getting a suntan under UV lights. My second child (13 months) was also diagnosed with the same condition at birth, he thank goodness was not as seriously ill as his older brother. I have to add that not every baby born with this condition will react the same way as my children did. I now know people who have not been diagnosed with the condition until they were in their 20's.

Review of G6PD Deficiency
Advantages: Good quality, easy to use, versatile, gives excellent results, robust Disadvantages: Mode dial on rear can be easy to accidentally move
...More than enough features for most photographers, fairly compact and easy to use. I've used mine regularly, mainly for work, it's never let me down once and always gives excellent results. When recently photographing a wedding, I had no hesitation in using the G6 as my back-up camera. It's light, and though slightly on the bulky side, it will fit into a pocket, which is more than you can say for a Nikon D2.
It's quite well made, the main part of the body being fairly robust aluminium.
Mine was put to the test when my wife fell over in New York, breaking her arm. The G6 took a hefty belt on the pavement, and now sports a dent, but on replacing the batteries, it worked perfectly, which is more than can be said for the wife's arm.
The only tiny criticism is the location of the mode dial on the rear, which is fairly easy to accidentally...

Review of Canon PowerShot G6
Advantages: constant updates, very sleek, Disadvantages: worried about scratching it
...around your phone without having to scroll through tons of menu's. It's all just one click away.
Apart from the usual icons you would expect to have on most phones i.e. text, contacts...there is an icon called App store...pure genius who ever came up with this idea, this lets you download ANY icon about pretty much ANYTHING.
I would say it also probably the main feature of the phone too. It doesn't matter if your in the stocks and shares market, love eating out at restaurants, you need a to do list for reminders, you like to play a few games, check the weather, want the currency rates for your next holiday, can't find the public toilets, are lost in the middle of know where...there will be an App to help you out.
The sound quality on the phone is very good, obviously you have headphone too as it is an ipod aswell.

Review of Apple iPhone 3G
Advantages: Looks, interface, quality, fun Disadvantages: Camera could be better
...The iPhone 3G is (almost) all the phone you'll ever need. Don't listen to the iPhone knockers, it's a fantastic piece of kit, it's so slick and easy to use that it even makes me use it to call people more than I ever normally would (I am a man after all so phone calls are short and not always sweet!).
The build quality is excellent, I've had mine for a few months now and there isn't a scratch on any surface, it (almost) never crashes (occasionally Safari crashes after a heavy browsing session, and some 3rd party apps crash from time to time).
The interface is REALLY slick. All of the built -in applications and most of the 3rd party ones you can download from the App Store (more later) integrate with each other very well. For example, if you have a friend's postal address in their Contact, start typing their name in the GPS...

Review of Apple iPhone 3G
Advantages: A great piece of hardware with unlimited possiblilities. Disadvantages: Can't delete pre installed apps
...I have been a customer of O2 for many years now and so after resisting as long as I could I finally gave in and got the Apple Iphone 3G on contract. I have to say I have no regrets!
The Iphone 3G is a completley touchscreen phone with internet capabilities. Not only can the phone connect to wifi signals it is also permanently connected via your network provider, all the while you have signal anyway! I find that the speed of the internet on this phone is sufficient for what I use it for (train times, facebook, emails etc), it get's a bit faster when connected to wifi rather then your network providers internet but to be honest I find the normal 3G speed is fine for me.
The great thing about the phone is the applications you can add; the phone can be completly tailored to you and becomes unique for everyone! There are plenty of free apps...

Review of Apple iPhone 3G
Advantages: A great phone Disadvantages: None, in my opinion!
...So, as I?m sure everyone on here who has an iPhone has done, here?s my review on this little beauty?just by that you can already guess, I?m a fan of this!
After my last contract with o2 expired three months back, I had the choice to renew everything and seeing as there was a distinct lack of phones available with o2 (in hindsight, I would have perhaps opted to look at the phones available with contracts provided by the Carphone Warehouse) I bit the bullet and went for the iPhone 3G 8GB version?the 3GS was available, but I?m not made of money and lets be honest, to pay that much extra for a bit more storage space, voice control and a video camera is not worth it in my honest opinion.
I?m sure you?re all aware of what it looks like, but if not it?s a touch screen operated phone which is a glossy black little number. A smooth back cover...

Review of Apple iPhone 3G
Advantages: Powerful, Portable, Looks like a space-gun Disadvantages: Price,. Noise
...(with apologies to the Rolling Stones)
It's not a Dustbuster(tm), because that's a trademark. And besides which, to put it in the same league as a Dustbuster(tm) would be unfair. No, the Dyson Root 6 should truly be called a handheld vacuum cleaner.
"Why?" I hear you ask... well let me tell you.
Dyson, as anyone that hasn't been living under a rock for the last 10 years will know, shot to fame with their revolutionary "bagless" Hoover(tm). Only you can't call it a Hoover(tm) because that's a trademark too. Bagless technology meant that there was no loss of power as the poor vacuum motor had to suck air through an increasing mass of dirt. It effectively meant that the suction power of a vacuum cleaner was increased. Not only that, but if you made the dust collection bin clear than you could see all of the dust and fluff whirling...
...to type something is surprisingly easy to use & within a few weeks, I began using my thumbs to type. The keyboard can also be changed to suit other languages.
I have stuck on an InvisibleShield to prevent it from getting scratched, without having to keep it in a case, as it is quite delicate. I have been very careful with it & it has worked very well for me.
Now for the the flaws....
With the Youtube feature, sometimes it does not connect to the internet even when Safari browser is in working order. The 3G symbol must be apparant for it to connect whereas with Safari, only the signal must be sufficient. This is quite annoying, as the 3G symbol is unapparant quite often.
Can't really fault the AppStore, only that some of the applications that look really good are quite pricey :(
Maps can't always connect to the internet, but...

Review of Apple iPhone 3G
Advantages: App store, elligent touch screen, design helps it fit into your hand, browsing speeds Disadvantages: Poor camera, no physical keyboard, battery is not great
...I bought the iPhone 3g about 6 months ago and have never looked back!
Let me get through the minor negatives first.
- poor camera
the camera is 2mp which is not acceptable for a smart phone. Other brands have been rolling out 8mp which doesn't make the iPhone 3g a first choice for a photogropher, but for out and about snaps, it's acceptable.
-no physical keyboard
the lack of physical keyboard can make longer texts entries somewhat harder to manage with regular mistakes. On the bright side, the keyboard is pretty smart as it learns commenly words used and spell checks them.
-battery life
the battery live on the divice is bellow par. You can accept a considerable amount of drainage to the phone with high demanding apps on the phone, but even when cheking email it is hard to squeeze a day out of it.
Putting these things to the side...
