...I don't go shopping in Tesco's very often. Why? I don't know why as their goods are cheap, and always very reliable and tastes good. I recently went shopping there, and decided on purchasing a few of Tesco's own brands of goods. I spent very little on my shopping, and used my clubcard. I've not had the pleasure of using my clubcard very often, so can't comment exactly on how that works, but to give you an idea on how much their products cost, here is just a few of Tesco's own brands and prices:- Margarine soft spead (2kg) - 73p Pasta sauce (390g) - 35p Packet of Spaghetti (500g) -13p can of peaches (250g, drained weight) - 9p can of baked beans (410g) - 9p can of rice pudding (425g) - 17p can of plumed tomatoes (400g) - 15p sliced bread, (medium) - 15p You can't grumble at them prices, can you? I think it's probably more than anything to do with the scent of this glorious lip butter! What is it? This is a lip butter or lip balm as most commonly known made by Palmer's who make all the body butter products. It is made for applying to your lips to make them smooth and shiny. ...cost me 89 pence in Tesco but £1.20 in my local (small) Somerfield. It is low fat as it is made with semi skimmed milk thus its a good source of calcium. It states on the tub that it's suitable for vegetarians, ideal for spreading, virtually trans fat free, it has no hydrogenated oils but it is not suitable for frying. Well all I know is its perfect on toast and great in sandwiches. ...this art. I buy a 200 gram bar of Cadbury's Whole Nut for only 99 pence. Is that a bargain or what? It will last me two to three days, if I'm not sharing. I am generally a good hearted person, so if someone wants some, I just give a little groan, sneer at them, show my teeth and eventually, I give in. I will list the ingredients for you. In my opinion, Cadbury's got this recipe just right. The bar contains: milk chocolate (milk, sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, vegetable fat, emulsifiers: E442 and E476, flavourings), hazelnuts (15%). Also, for those of you who want to know, the nutritional value is as follows per 100 grams: Energy kj-2290, kcal-550, protein g-9.3, carbohydrate g-48.8 and finally the all dreaded fat g-35.2.
