Happy Hobs!!
Advantages: Works very well, fairly inexpensive, easy to use
Disadvantages: Bit runny
...A couple of summer's ago, my husband gutted our old kitchen and put me in a nice new one with all the mod cons, including my new halogen hob! He told me I needed to be careful when cleaning it and the maufacturer's instruction for cleaning recommended Hob Brite, by Homecare.
I tootled off to Tesco and found it very easily, in with the rest of the household cleaning products. It cost at the time about £1.25 but it's since gone up in price a little and the last bottle I bought cost me £1.39 from Sainsbury's - the bottle contains 300ml, and to my knowledge does not come in any different sizes.
The first time I used my new hob I'd cooked us all a spaghetti bolognese and there were a few splashes of sauce sprinkled over the hob. I left the hob to cool down before I attempted to clean it, as directed on the bottle's instructions...

Sparkly Hobs
Advantages: good results, good price
Disadvantages: -
...Recently I just bought a ceramic hob cooker because previously I never really worried too much about spillages around the cooker but now with the shiny black surface dirt starts to show up more easily. I love my cooker and being a huge pasta lover and loving my sauces etc this means that there are going to be spillages whether it's tomato sauce stains, oil after frying these all make a mess if not cleaned quick so this is why I looked into products for cleaning the hob and I found Hob Brite.
I have never really heard of many big brands doing cleaning products for the hob. I know there are these cleaning wipe things but to me these aren't reliable although I haven't heard of Homecare who make Hob Brite. I haven't heard of them but I certainly wouldn't forget to recommend if I ever come to the subject of discussing hobs...

A good job for the hob
Advantages: Economical to use, leaves hob looking like new
Disadvantages: None
...Last year, we bought a Hotpoint electric oven and ceramic hob to replace the gas ones installed when our house was built, and supplied with the hob was a small sampler bottle of Hob-Brite. I'd owned an electric cooker some years earlier, and I'd always used Jif (as it was called then) to clean the hob. It did the job well, but I thought I may as well use up the freebie bottle of Hob-Brite, even if I didn't carry on with it afterwards.
Made by an Ipswich company called Homecare Products, Hob-Brite comes in a bright orange plastic bottle, making it easy to spot on the supermarket shelf, and one of the first things that struck me when I went to use it, was the blue flip up cap, which I found extremely easy to open. I have a touch of arthritis in my fingers, and I find some of the caps on containers, (Cif, to give it the correct name...

The best little hob I have seen
Advantages: Fast, efficient and clean - a great way to cook
Disadvantages: You must use the right pans on it
...If you want a responsive, fast and efficient cooker hob then look no further than this little induction hob. I have to admit I was really curious when I saw it advertised in the Scotts of Stow catalogue as I hadn't really heard of induction hobs although I had seen one demonstrated on QVC a little while ago which had intrigued me. This hob was around half the price of the QVC one at just £29.99 so I was keen to find out more and, being something of a gadget freak, that meant doing a bit of research first to see what induction cooking was all about.
Let me stress here that I am not a scientist so for the purists amongst you I accept that my explanation may leave something to be desired but it made sense to me so I hope it will be understandable to others. Basically an induction hob is an electrically powered cooker hob but it is...

Sparkly hobs as quick as a Hob Brite .
Advantages: Lasts a lond time , great results , good value .
Disadvantages: Smells a little harsh when using
...BACKGROUND
*******************
In my never ending quest for a clean house , with as little effort as possible , I have been trying yet more cleaning products . I actually bought Hob Brite a few months ago and have been using it since , about once a week to polish up my hob unit .
I have a Baumatic inset oven with a ceramic gas hob . I have had this a few years now but it is still in reasonable condition as I try to look after it . I used to just give it a wipe with a mixture of warm water and washing up liquid , cleaning the metal burner rings with a scouring powder or pad . This scouring however was not doing the metal any good .
HOB BRITE
***************
Hob Brite is packaged in a bright orange plastic bottle with a flip top lid . There is an inset to press near the bottom of the bottle which you squeeze carefully to...

keep your hob shiny and brite!
Advantages: Hob brite last's ages
Disadvantages: none that i can think of
...Hob brite is a cream cleaner with conditioners, for ceramic and halogen hobs.
I've been using this for the past two years and found it to be very good,
Hob brite is recommended by belling, creda, neff, tricity bendix, zanussi, rangemaster, beaumatic, stoves and De Dietrich.
It's very easy to use, pour a small amount on a cloth or tissue, don't over do it you really do only need a small amount, you'll be there for hours rinsing otherwise.
Wipe glass lightly and rinse.
I use a non-scratch scourer to get the burnt on bits off, Hob brite recommend you use the homecare razor scraper, unfortunately I lost mine!
Do not use on a hot hob, It dries intantly, I use it on a cold hob and have found it works better this way.
Hob Brite contains-
Less than 30% inert meneral filler
Less than 5% none ionic surfactant
food grade acid...

Rolls Royce of Appliances
Advantages: High quality, designer product
Disadvantages: Price
...quality modern built-in kitchen appliances. Since then, Gaggenau has been well known for its flawless design, high grade materials, simplicity and perfection in there workmanship.
The Range:
Gaggenau have quite a vast range of built-in appliances for all your cooking needs.
The range consists of Ovens, Steam Ovens, Warming Drawers, Microwaves, Hobs, Ventilation, Fridges, Freezers, wine coolers, dishwashers, coffee machines and laundry appliances. There is too many to write about so I will only mention a few of my favourites.
Ovens - In total there are 9 ovens in the range, all in different sizes and various functions. With some of the range of ovens, there is an additional accessory which I would definitely recommend, which is a baking stone with pizza paddle. With this you can bake fresh pizza's in a matter of 6-7minutes and have...

Hob Nobs? No Probs!
Advantages: Full of nobbly goodness!
Disadvantages: Too darn tempting to restrict yourself to just the one. Full of calaries...
...Ah McVities. A giant amongst biscuit makers worldwide. A much loved giant too, that was born way back in the 20s. According to the website unitedbiscuits.com, a new employee Alexander Grant was the creater of the first ever digestive biscuit - so called apparantly because they are easy to digest due to it's high content of baking soda. (There's a fact for you!)
The first biscuit spawned became a firm favourite, and still remains the highest selling brand too. From then on a series of different kinds of biscuits started to come into existance, including my all time favourite - Hob Nobs!
Hob Nobs were launched in 1985 and two years later, a chocolate version was put on the shelves, surely a great thing to those who imagined how nice a concoction, oats and chocolate in a biscuit could be!
As I sit here, a packet of Hob Nobs, sits by...

What can I say about a gas hob?
Advantages: Lights first time. Powerful wok burner, easy to clean
Disadvantages: wok burner doesn't fit my wok!
...Well, having reviewed our new oven and whilst waiting for the new product dept at Ciao to set up a link so I can praise the company we bought it from I thought I'd do the hob as well.
It's a Neff (to match the oven) T2164 and cost £131.49 Not quite the bottom end of the Neff range. The Neff name is synonymous with quality, our last hob was still working well apart from a little dificulty in lighting it largely due to a build up of muck, after 16 years.
The new version is black enamel and looks too clean to use in comparison to our old one. It fitted right into the hole left by the old one, which was nice! (Another good reason for buying the same make again)
The knobs are arranged along the right hand side, easily accesible and out of reach if you have small children, a useful feature as this hob does NOT feature a flame failure...

HobNobbing with the Best...
Advantages: Harmony of chocolate & biscuit
Disadvantages: 95 calories per biscuit
...What do you mean no one's written anything about HobNobs yet?! You selfish pricks... well I oughta... No. Civility has value yet. Because when you eat HobNobs, you're hobnobbing with the best.
It would perhaps be helpful for the uninitiated if I described what a HobNob looks like. Unfortunately, upon the devouring of every crumb in two HobNobs (Milk Chocolate) bottles, there is zilch to refer to. So kindly excuse this recall from a not-so-distant memory...
Each biscuit/cookie has a diameter of about 5cm so it's really quite a substantial piece of confectionery to place at one go into an un-Julia Roberts mouth. While one side of the cookie is covered with smooth dark chocolate (either plain chocolate or milk chocolate), the really interesting part is the other side... where you can nobbly bits of oats poking out from the surface...
