Advantages: Amazing value, first class hotel
Disadvantages: Absolutely none

...Subotica is just a few miles over the Hungarian border and so gets quite a few visitors from there I expect. It's certainly a place worth visiting and with the nearby lake palic tourist area, there's no shortage of accommodation in the area. We were only stopping there for one night on our way to Bulgaria and a quick search for a hotel threw up a wide variety of options but when we came across the Hotel galleria, it really was no contest. Although the hotel is in the centre of town, it's really easy to find. It's just a couple of turns off the main drag and it's well signposted. Parking is free in an underground car park which is always a bonus. The hotel is a modern building but sits well amongst its surroundings and blends in nicely. Galleria Outlet Centre

Advantages: bargains, refreshments, lots of choice
Disadvantages: busy and very hot inside

...The Galleria is in the middle of Hatfield, Herts. It is very easily accessible, well signposted, and not far away from the M25. The building itself is built on top of the HatfieldTunnel. ~Parking~ Lots and lots of space. There is a multistory car park to the back when you drive in, or as you drive in there is a HUGE outdoor parking area. Unfortunately, they have recently introduced these as Pay and Display areas. It costs a pound to park, even on Sundays, and unlike some places, you do not get a refund on your parking if you purchase something, which is a bit of a pain. Nevermind. ~Access to the Outlet Centre~ Very easily accessible. Lifts, escalators and steps. ~Shops~ They shops are over two levels, again there are lifts/escalators and steps. Galleria...Not my cup of T

Advantages: plenty of stores
Disadvantages: bargains are largely 'tat' or not much of a bargain anyway

...For a start off Hatfield only has one 't' in it. That aside, the Galleria is not my idea of a great shopping centre. The idea of mimicking the US Designer Outlet Mall just doesn't work in here. When I've been there, the shops - all High Street names - are all just trying to offload their out of season - and frankly - out of date clothing and goods. In the USA I've been to Designer Outlet centres and they have great bargains, big names, but don't disguise the fact that they are offering you quality at a cheap price. Frankly some of the stores at the Galleria would be better off flogging their rubbish off at a Car Boot sale. And as for TK Maxx - it just a glorified 'jumble sale'. Designer clothes at discount prices - screwed up clothes at ridiculous prices more like! By all means take a trip out there and enjoy some...

...Before booking my recent trip to Houston, Texas with my other half, we looked into what to expect when we were there, activities to do and places to visit. The Galleria Mall is the official 7th largest Mall in America. Seeing this and knowing just how much myself and my fiancé like shopping, I booked our hotel just a few blocks down the road from the mall, with every intent of visiting. Located in the "up-town" part of Houston, named "The Galleria District" this mall stands proud covering nearly 3 million square feet of space (this includes the 2 tower blocks and all of the office blocks located on the land) The mall itself is laid out over 3 floors with the bottom floor having an ice rink in the centre and home to the food court. There were many places to eat here including McDonalds and various other fast food places, as well...

And as anyone who has ever had the unparalleled joy of living in Hatfield will tell you, if it's filth, crime and permed woman shouting at one another in the streets you want, if it's semi-retarded gibbons in Adidas sportwear roaming the ill-lit, decrepit backalleys and teenage girls with a KFC in one hand, a fag in the other and a triple pushchair wedged up against massive, tracksuit-clad arses that float your boat, then get yourself on over there. Some Bargains To Be Had

Advantages: Factory Outlet shops and some bargains to be had
Disadvantages: Not a huge range of shops or stock

...I expect that most of us love a bargain, and if we manage to find one we come home chuffed to bits. To that end, I love factory outlet shopping (to be referred to as just outlet shopping for the rest of this op), and my favourite is the one in Swindon, but alas, that is about an hour and half down the M4 from where I live, so I can't always go there. About a month ago, I was in need of a new rucksack, so I thought I'd toddle up to the Hatfield Galleria and see what I could find there. ~~Location~~ You can't miss it if you travel up the A1(M) as it's located between junctions 3 and 4, so that's one mark in it's favour - it's easy to find. ...The Galleria The Galleria, is situated just off the A1(M) between junction 3 and 4, it does have its own turn off. As you come to this junction, there is no way of missing the galleria, as the building goes across the road with big red letters. This shopping centre is just like many of the others, such as blue water, however, the prices are a lot cheaper. There are over 30 outlets in the centre. Opening times The Galleria is open every day. During the week, they open at 10am and close at 8pm. Where as the weekend they again open at 10 on Saturday and 11am on Sunday, closing at 6pm and 5pm on the Sunday. During the Christmas season, these times change. Parking charges Parking is charged here, however the prices are really cheap, compared to some places. The prices start at £1 for 2 hours weekdays rising to £4 for the day...

...The Galleria straddles the A1M at Hatfield, about 8 miles north from the M25. It styles itself an outlet centre, rather then a shopping centre and this is a distinction that must be borne in mind. The aim is to bring under one roof a range of discount stores, rather than mainstream retailers. The Galleria is a modern steel and glass structure on two floors. As I mentioned earlier, it stands above the A1M where the road passes through a tunnel. It is easily accessed from either north- or southbound carriageways and is signposted from the junctions.
