Gamecube's take on Final Fantasy?

Advantages: Easy and simple to play
Disadvantages: Not for the average Final Fantasy fan

...when you are in a hot location and vice-versa; less hair, colder location causes the Moogle to feel cold and slows down when following you. The game is not that difficult as it has a pretty straightforward storyline where it narrates to where your character should go, but you do have the option to always go back to towns and other fighting locations. Although the game is quite repetitive there is an option where you can make it even more fun by having your friends join in, such as a coop multiplayer story mode but the downside to this is that you need to buy separate equipment to allow others to play, standard Gamecube controllers will not do, but you instead have to use the 'Gameboy Advanced' systems as controllers not to also forget that you need extra cables to connect the 'Gameboy Advanced' to the Gamecube. ...The Nintendo Gamecube hit shop shelves in May 2002 and since then it has sadly become the quiet console of the gaming world. First though let me assure you that the lack of success this machine is having is not due to the quality of games on it. Far from it actually as this machine has many classic titles avaliable (Zelda, Mario, F-Zero, Pikmin etc). The graphical power also does not let it down as in terms of visuals it lies roughly between the PS2 and XBox. So why has it not done as well as expected? Well advertising is a big problem as Nintendo hardly bother to tell anyone it's products exsist. When billboards across the land are covered in PS2 and XBox ads then it was always going to be more likely that Sony and Microsoft would do better. ...I recieved my gamecube on import from America in March, why you ask ? Because i could not wait until May 3rd for it too come out here. It cost me approxiamatley £137 + £15 postage and then £37 for the customs charges, and it was the best money i've spent in years. It came in a smart little box, smaller than the xbox and PS2, with a gamecube on the front and descriptions and pictures of games on the back. I bought the black gamecube because i thought it looked VERY cool compared to the purple one. In my opinion the gamecube looks the best out of the next-gen consoles, it's small so it can fit in under your TV, it's an original shape and size so it looks the part, it has a neat little carry handle that i will go into detail with later on - but what am i saying , looks are only plastic casing deep ! ...Ask any die-hard Nintendo fan what the worst news they heard in the last six months was regarding their little cube of joy and it will undoubtedly be the departure of Rare from Nintendo to Mr Gates and his big X-shaped box of pants. For anyone not in the know about Rare, they WERE a second party company who produced games for Nintendo. They are situated in Twycross and are responsible for some of the most breathtaking games on both the SNES and N64.
