Gamecube Review

Advantages: Compact, powerfull, great games, original, different colours, affordable, 4 player, cool cd's
Disadvantages: disc capacity is a bit small, no dvd but do we need it ?

...I recieved my gamecube on import from America in March, why you ask ? Because i could not wait until May 3rd for it too come out here. It cost me approxiamatley £137 + £15 postage and then £37 for the customs charges, and it was the best money i've spent in years. It came in a smart little box, smaller than the xbox and PS2, with a gamecube on the front and descriptions and pictures of games on the back. I bought the black gamecube because i thought it looked VERY cool compared to the purple one. In my opinion the gamecube looks the best out of the next-gen consoles, it's small so it can fit in under your TV, it's an original shape and size so it looks the part, it has a neat little carry handle that i will go into detail with later on - but what am i saying , looks are only plastic casing deep ! What makes a console , isn't the tech...

The GameCube - Nintendo At Their Finest

Advantages: The best games, Loads of power, Great potential

Great Gamecube

Advantages: Multiplayer games

...This is the first time i have bought a console from nintendo as i am normally a big fan of sony, but the nintendo gamecube really caught my eye the first time i laye don eyes on it. I had been told how brilliant it was from many people and when i tried it for myself it did not dissapoint. I remember buying the console and taking it home and just the excitement of knowing i had this great, powerful machine in my grasp. And then when i finally got it plugged in and set up ready to go, i got a great feeling just from turning it on and preparring to experience th full velocity of this new machine. Resident Evil Zero for GameCube

Advantages: A great survival horror game!
Disadvantages: None is so good!

...I will hopefully write a detailed and fine review for this one as is for one of my favourite survival horror video games genre and series of Resident Evil. As the title said ReE Zero the prequel to the Original Resident Evil that first came out in 1996 then 1998 and 2001 for the Remake version. Great Gaming is GameCube

Advantages: who could resist this fun, compact, innovative fashionable and attractive console that doesn’t bother you by taking all the space
Disadvantages: Can't play DVD's

Gamecube slipping away?

Advantages: Easy to pass the time away
Disadvantages: The taste

...The Nintendo gamecube was released in 2001 and since then it had slowly but surely decreased in popularity. And for this I ask the question is the Nintendo Already Slipping away? From the three major consoles on the market now (XBOX, PS2 and Gamecube) my personal favourite has to be the Xbox and the Gamecube at the bottom of the three. Like all other major consoles Nintendo have released they don't stay at the height of popularity for long as Playstation always seem to take over and now Xbox appears to be taking over both consoles. Nintendo has never really been huge as I feel they don't move on and change with the time's as when a new console is released keen fan's of Nintendo know what will be expected from the latest console as Mario, Zelda are always involved which I think makes potential buyers steer away...

The best wireless Gamecube controller around!

Advantages: Extremely reliable, traditional GC button layout, fits snugly
Disadvantages: No rumble, frequency co-ordination with multiple wavebirds can get a bit fiddly

Pros The Wavebird, being the Official Nintendo wireless controller, is one of the most reliable controllers you will ever find. It is extremely sturdy, and breaking it is really a mission. The only possible problem is that the rubber on the left analogue stick *can* come off in some circumstances, but save physically chewing on it or it being scratched by a cat, it should last. It fits snugly into your hand, just like the original gamecube controllers did. Something about their shape and feel just makes these controllers feel right...perfect for wireless action on the Wii even for new games such as Super Smash Bros Brawl or Mario Kart...

Disadvantages: Not good for anything much except gaming.

...I know that the Nintendo GameCube hasn't had the best reviews in the past, and the release wasn't as spectacular as the PS2 or the Xbox, but it really had potential, and it still has. Even with the release of the Wii at some point within the next year (hopefully), games are still coming out for the 'Cube, and most of them are brilliant. Some people may argue that the Xbox and PS2 have more games out on them, and so therefore they must be better. These are the people who think more means better, which is not always the case.
