...The Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has been with us for a while now, and it hasn't been too badly received either amongst the Wii-mote waving, button bashing members of the public out there, so now that the DS version has finally arrived, should these same gamers still be as excited as they were the first time around? Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games on the DS is certainly not short on features, 16 playable characters have all been included, each of which are split into four categories such speed, skill, power and the all rounder's, therefore you can choose which characters you would prefer to use for each event based on their ability. The game also offers plenty of choice when it comes to events, these range from sprinting, swimming and cycling to more specialist events such as fencing and gymnastics...

...Mario & Sonic at the olympic games was the first game i bought after getting a Wii for christmas. I personally think that it is an excellent first game to get for the Wii. You can happily play for hours and hours becuase of the wide variety of events you can play. ...During the 1990s, if you had a games console you would have probably been in one of two camps: Sega or Nintendo. I certainly was rooted firmly in the Sega camp having had a Mega Drive for many, many years with games like Street of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog. I was a huge Sonic fan, playing the first and second game until completion and then starting up again a few days later as I loved everything about it, the colours, the gameplay.... everything. So if you tried to convince me that some 10-15 years later that Sonic and Mario would team up in a game, I probably would have just laughed. Back then it would have been an absurd thought but one that any magazine reviewer or computer game fanboy would have only dreamed about. ...Having seen the advert for this game i was desperate to buy it as i have not had my wii for that long and i do not have many games. I eventually bought this game and i am so glad that i did as it is great fun. Players This game can be played as a one player or multiplayer as long as you have a wii remote for each player. Also you will need a nunchuck for each player although some of the games you can play with just the remote. Characters In this game you can play as characters from either sonic or mario such as sonic, tails, mario, princess daisy and yoshi. Each of the characters have different abilities which are split into speed, skill, power and stamina. you can choose a character who is a speed, skill, power or all around type which means that if you are playing a running game you would choose a character from the speed type...

Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games (Wii) is an 'ok' game.

Advantages: Lots of sports, can play with balance board, ability to play with a mii, dream events are fun.
Disadvantages: No real story, Balance Board controls poorly on most mini-games, might get boring quickly.

...First off, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is yet another mini-game collection. The Wii has seen a large amount of these types of games lately, so if yet another one is going to appear on the Wii, it had better be a good one. And that's the problem with this particular game. In no way is this game terrible, but it isn't that remarkable either. If it released on another console i might have been a bit more forgiving, however on a console with such a large number of mini-game collections already, there are probably quite a few collections out there already that surpass this game. *Appearance and Sound* GRAPHICS The graphics in this game are as you'd expect them to be, although there are a few places where the graphics are exceptionally good. Carnival funfair games are not so fun after all !!

Advantages: multiplayer but not alot else
Disadvantages: poor grafics, colour and sound

...I love funfair games and had been looking at this game for a long time before my partner decided to buy it for my birthday. On the back of my case it says "Experience all the fun and excitement of the funfair with carnival funfair games" You can create your player from a very limited choice but you can buy more things once you have won some tickets. This is a single or multi player game, with prize mode for single and head to head or competition for multi player. I played the single player game first where you play to win tickets and virtual prizes, the tickets you use in penny pushers or grabbing machines there are a few others too which I won't spoil for you because I found these the best part of the game. As you play the game and win prizes you turn them into bigger prizes this moves you closer to unlocking the extra games...

Carnival Funfair games: Wii

Advantages: Cheap, very fun!
Disadvantages: No good for young children, and it doesn't "progress" much.

...This game is so fun!!! We got it with our Wii when we bought it and we got a little addicted to it!! Its got a variety of games on it which you can play which you find at real carnivals and funfairs! Games such as Coin toss, ball in a bucket, milkbottle tumbe and loads more!! You earn points and unlock prizes and more games as you go (my favourite prize is the G-Raff on the duck hitting game!!!!!!) It can be played by up to 4 players and if you only have one controller it accomodates this!!! As well as been a great game, its cheap too!! The only thing with it, is that some of the games don't last very long, and once you've unlocked the few games extra you can get, the game doesnt progress, but that is the only fault, and as a game to play to pass the time and have a good laugh in the head to head mode, its a great game to have a good...

...I?m not a big fan of reality TV, I found the first BB compulsive viewing, the second less so and that about completes my viewing experience of such programmes. Fundamentally these shows exist to either prove Warhol correct and give ?wannabees? their moment in the spotlight or they provide a chance for some ?used to bees? a second opportunity to revive their careers. ...move she ever made? I first came across Veronica Henry when my mum told me to read "Love on the Rocks" by her, and I absolutely adored that book - it was well written and such an enjoyable read. I have Veronica's "Honeycote" series on my shelf to read, and I can't wait to get around to reading them. I was so excited to get a copy of Veronica's latest book, the stand-alone story "Marriage and Other Games", which is Veronica's 7th book. I was expecting an absorbing and brilliant read, and that is certainly what I got from the book! I passed the novel onto my mum as well, and she enjoyed just as much as I did, proving Veronica's novels appeal across the generations! The story, although primarily and initially following the life of Charlotte, does branch out into several characters and I really liked this. There was always something new...
